Areas in the Bronx with high Jamaican populations in these years are like Williamsbridge and Wakefield.
To end up in Boston i'm going to guess they were runners. Be interesting to know what type of public transit was in the area in 88. One other thing I could think of is they took off with the wrong persons money or product and that person had someone waiting on them. Young immigrant kids in the Bronx that don't see much of a future for themselves.. Well, I have seen people before that saw what they thought their shot to get out of an area like this and ran with it. Now we are also talking about pretty close communities though so these kids could have been living on their own and outside of the societal norms for quite awhile. Prob dumb but I would like to get an idea of their clothing and the prices..
I wonder why 1 body was more decomposed than the other? Was one face up and another face down or something? I did see a report of one having an injury over their right thumb that was bandaged.

Lots of transportation options from NYC to Boston, anything from hitching a ride to taking a bus or the train or even a plane--the Eastern Airlines shuttle was still pretty cheap back then. Were you thinking something specific, or just generally wondering if it's possible for a couple of kids to get from one place to another?

Specifically I am wondering about bus or train transit that are direct lines.. If someone heard these guys took off with something that didn't belong to them and they knew it was a grayhound from ____ to ____ it wouldn't be that hard to have someone waiting on them to exit the bus.

Looks like a good possibility, but only if the date missing is wrong? My first thought was he dissapeared in September because I write my dates different here in the UK.

I was looking at this one too, but I'm really confused. If he was born in 1978, then how did he own his own car? Maybe that's a typo and he was born in 68

Antwon dissapeared in 1998, not 1988. Whoops.
For those asking about transportation: I recall there were inexpensive buses from Chinatown to NYC around that time. I never rode on one but heard they were not exactly safe (not sure if condition of bus or driver's style) but popular because they were cheap. I think they ran on Saturdays.

Did they ever check group homes in the area or in the Bronx? They could have run away together. Have seen a handful of cases like that and they sometimes weren't reported missing from the group home. Shannon Aumock is an example of not being reported and she went missing a few years after these boys.
Edit: just read the article Grungster posted above. Looks like they have theorized them possibly being foster children.

Regarding the possible Jamaican lead, I wonder if this woman who claims to have known them reported them as having accents or not.

No that's not what im stating. In the article above, they believe that the boys were with a teen named FLIP. Detective Cronin stated this:
"The group’s alleged ringleader, Flip was described as 17 to 19-years old, five foot seven or five foot eight, medium build and wore a lot of gold jewelry around his neck.
One distinguishing feature Flip has is his two golden front teeth, one with a half moon design and the other depicting a star.
Flip was never found by police and it is widely believed he may have returned to New York following Clayton and Hooker’s murders."
I think Flip might be Kemp Lamont Scott. I don't know who those boys might be, but if you find the identity of flip, that might be a step in the right direction.....
