Found Deceased MA - Jaimee Mendez, 25, Swampscott, 6 Nov 2014 - #1 *Arrest*

My Thoughts and prayers go out to the divers, LE, searchers, and most of all to Jaimee's family.

If he was high on an opiate like heroin, then Jaimee's friend would've found him and her spaced out. From what I understand of the effect, it would be exactly the opposite of the state he may have needed to be in to be intimidating to Jaimee, get scratches, be able to drive away when the friend couldn't find him, or go to his 'girlfriend's' houses. That's way too much activity on a heroin high. We only have his word for the heroin use, and it has zero credibility, the way I see it.

BBM This is the only drug that has been mentioned at all so it's all I have to go on for the moment. The only other mentions were when people stated they were aware of JM, JF and I believe SV at the "meth clinic". But that was all FB chatter IIRC. So taking both of those away we have nothing :-/

I have been feeling Ocean. lizzi Marriott comes to mind, but I do not think the tides are so strong there. One would need a boat to go out further?

Yes, or a pier maybe? He gave the 4 hour time frame himself. Would he have had enough time to cast out and return and be at his girlfriends? Hopefully, LE has a lot more information and they may have leads to be searching the places they are searching.

The search was finished for the day at about 1 p.m. after nothing was found, and divers will return to the pond Wednesday.

The only mention I have seen was that JM and JF went to buy drugs at Rite Aid. I would have to think that Rite Aid has outdoor camera's per company policy. And of course inside they would CCTV. Since LE is not releasing any info it's up to our imaginations

Fleury said they went to buy drugs together at a Lynn Rite Aid and said he'd done the same drug run with Mendez twice before.

We really don't know Lulu. There was mention of another Pond that some frequented but there is no information as to why. :-/ I believe the Pond they searched today was based on convenience to the location where Jaimee was last seen and the RSO. Sorry still can't call him a POI or suspect.

I agree - there should be outside cameras. But would there be some around the back? If they were there for a drug deal, they may have been meeting around the back or side.

Perhaps there's a reason the family does not want this info released. I doubt they'd want Jaimee thought of and remembered as a drug user/dealer, if that's truly the reason she was there. So either they didn't see anything on the cameras, or they don't want the public to see what they found. If she had stepped inside, surely they would be showing people the footage, so we would know what she looked like and was wearing the moment she disappeared. This is just MOO of course.

LE is very tight lipped on this one. Everything I am reading is coming from the family for the most part. I did read from the DA's office that she was last seen Thursday night and reported missing by the family Saturday morning.

1. In post 518, the family states she left the house to run an errand. She was heading to Western Union to pick up a check. I would like to know how she got there? how did she end up with JF as they claim? How much later were the phone calls?
2. They then state in othe articles she was last seen at Rite Aid? Does anyone familiar with the area know if RiteAid and Western Union are near each other?
3. What makes me puzzled is that if she truly was last seen there or seen there at all, why would LE not confirm this? Someone may have seen something! They always, to my knowledge release where a missing person is last seen.
4. all of the items the family says searchers found. Why is LE not confirming this?
5. She is a missing person, says LE. That is pretty much all they say. Nothing else. Why? I don't understand. I don't think they are trying to protect JF. I have followed many cases and I have seen nothing like this one before.

I don't think most parents want to ever believe that about their children. My Grandma said the same thing about her 40 year old son. She would also say he didn't do it every time he was arrested. It is like when you hear of a missing person and they say he would never walk away or he would never commit suicide. Never want to believe it until they do. Anything is possible.
