Wow, just read Aunt Beas page. Wow.

I agree hockeymom! I've been following the primary Find Jaimee page faithfully since day one. This is MOO, especially in light of what was just posted on bringjaimeehome page. I agree that tensions are high and it's terribly stressful for the family, perhaps more so over the holidays. But IMO I think the rift comes from those who are resigned to recovering a body versus Jaimee possibly being out there and alive. Again, just my observation from the posts on all the pages combined. For some the thought of giving up on that miracle is unimaginable.

Praying for a miracle and that the family can come together to bring Jaimee home...

Reading about this case online is the way I found WebSleuths.. I live the town over from Swampscott and find this just so heartbreaking. Every time I am out walking or driving I am looking around, hoping to see something that would help -- it is very disheartening that there has been no (publicized) news. I certainly will never forget her and I will have my eyes and ears open until she is found.

I am I little more than confused.

I wish they had kept the other page open and I also am getting the 'vibe " that it is possible LE has made comments to Jamie's Family about people playing JR detectives.

I say this because it seems crazy to think that a family who has encouraged anyone to search ,come forward , and turn over any information, whom also investigated the suspects van and nearby dumpsters while looking for their missing and very much loved family member would really have issues with people playing JR detective, unless LE has told them that it is possible that this type of activity may harm any future or pending court case.

That is my opinion and speculation. I do not fault them for suddenly closing the group if that is the case. However I also hope they can find someone who will advocate for them with LE . It is Sad when LE's position starts to hinder the efforts of the family still trying to locate their loved ones . Neither position is a wrong one ,they just clash what it is each side needs.

One needs every bit of helpful and known fact in the case put in the public to help find Jamie .
The other needs information withheld from the public to have the edge in court.

I wish the first facebook could have stayed open. I do understand. I will continue to support Jamie's Family and like any page putting out her picture and information and I will share her information as I have been. I will not contribute to gossip of family members or other posters . I have no doubt they will work out their own family issues in time, right now they are all hurting and trying to cope.

:bump: for Jaimee. How sad to see her on page 3 :-/

Nothing new in MSM and it looks like the family is getting ready to organize some more searches...I hope so! I would love to know what LE is doing behind the scenes in terms of investigating? The family reported that as recent as last Friday LE was still conducting searches per the FJMFB page back then.

Please Lord Bring Jaimee Home :heartbeat:

I would guess that LE is silently watching the dramatic unfolding of the family dynamic.

My opinion only!

The rumor mill is boiling over with stuff, most of it contradictory.

Indeed, thankfully we don't do rumors here!

:cow:

Yeah. It's so much saner. Can't believe people would say some of the things they're saying. Absolutely appalling. I probably shouldn't have even mentioned it but I kind of needed to hear somebody say something sane...

My heart breaks for Jaimee's family and what they're going through. They seem to be doing what they can to protect their search for Jaimee's remains or evidence leading to it and a crime. I can't imagine that anyone would want her home as much as her family, her Mom, her Dad, her sister, her five year old boy and his Dad. They do want to do everything possible to make it happen, it seems to me. I hope they get the help and support they need to bring her home.

It is hard to imagine that Jaimee Mendez disappeared on her own, and not by the machinations of the RSO she feared in the moments before she was gone, a violent criminal, it seems to me, who has it worked out how to get to people without facing consequences, so he probably knows much more than he is saying about where she ended up. I hope the people who know where he was, what he did, to whom, to what and to where he has access to, or what he may have done now understand it is safer for them to speak up, besides it being the right thing to do. Would JF put anyone before himself when push comes to shove or rather betray now and take revenge later? I don't doubt the family for a minute in their belief that he brought her to harm and nor that he may be a free man still doing just that, harming people.

Aunt Bea's bringinghomejaimee FB page is now gone. Hopefully the drama will now die down and everyone can once again focus on finding Jaimee!

I guess the post have moved to the private group.

I hope they are making progress in Jamiee's case.

Every weekend, I think especially about Jaimee's son. How long does it take a five year old child to process his mother's sudden and complete absence? She was a hard working mom who never spent a night away from him, so an especially devoted mom, who made sure her son had access to a great school which he had just started. Imagine how happy she would have been to see him attend and thrive there. I hope they find Jaimee Mendez soon so her family can feel the peace they need so they can focus all their efforts on raising her child, without the torment of her missing. Whomever knows anything, besides the RSO, who is not likely to help, I hope they find it in their heart to be brave and righteous enough to help find her.

Jayson, Jaimee's son is 6 years old, according to Steven Mendez social media statement, he's a nonverbal autistic little boy.

It was mentioned on the FJMFB page awhile back that he said his first word recently. I believe it was "eat" but can't find the post anymore since the clean up there. Heartbreaking that Jaimee was not there to witness this moment with her son :-/

Could be unrelated, but this is just north or where Jaimee went missing.

It's about 25 miles, depending exactly where on Plum Island the remains washed up. https://goo.gl/maps/RQluw Plum Island is on the opposite side of Cape Ann from Lynn, so it's not likely a body would drift there from Lynn, especially since they're saying it was on the inland side of the island.

Could have been driven there, though I wouldn't think it would be bones yet at this time of year.

Keep in mind that the RSO that she was last seen with has ties to the fishing industry.

Yes, it's possible. I'm just saying I didn't think it was the most likely thing. Sadly, she's not the only missing person in MA who might have been murdered.

ETA: many locals are speculating that it might be the remains of Richard Decker, who was missing and presumed drowned in the immediate vicinity two years ago: http://www.newburyportnews.com/news...876-af37-5bd6-ab20-ae9a12fb670e.html?mode=jqm

There were other remains found in Newburyport last year that were thought to be Decker's (http://www.apnewsarchive.com/2013/M...ng_sailor/id-3c59d63c427947c4802c904bcd52bb25) but I can't find that a positive identification was ever made.
