Sonar, drone, and manual searches for a Dracut man have turned up nothing in the two weeks since he was last seen, according to his family.

Matthew Hrinchuk, 36, was last seen on Saturday, Feb 25 around 11:30 p.m. at his Dracut home, according to the Dracut Police Department.

His phone and backpack were found near Aiken Bridge, said his sister Jenna Hrinchuk who is active in the push to find Matthew.

Matthew Hrinchuk (DOB 12/30/1986), was last seen on 02/25 at 2330 hours at his residence in Dracut.

Family searches for answers following loved one’s disappearance

Family turns to the community for help in the search for their missing loved one, 36-year-old Matthew Hrinchuk, a Lowell native, who currently lives in Dracut.

An emotional JH discussed her brother’s disappearance on Friday night, noting he has been struggling with depression for years.

“He has been getting help, but it just took a turn without much warning,” she said.

JH said the last time Matthew Hrinchuk talked to anyone in the family was by phone with his mother, SL, on Sunday morning.

“He said, ‘I love you’ and ‘everything is going to be all right,'” JH said.

According to JH, her brother’s backpack, which contained belongings like his wallet and cellphone, were found by a homeless couple under Lowell’s Ouellette Bridge.

Police used a drone to search the area this week. According to JH, police said they are scheduled to search the river with sonar on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the bodies of the men were found about 2 miles apart.
