So, neither of these examiners ruled MOD as homicide, but we're watching a murder trial? That would give me pause if I were a juror.
IMO

I'd be feeling like they wasted my time.

@JHall7news

ISB: Majority of injuries were to the face and the head, and some to the upper extremities - the arms. He had bleeding to the upper eye lids, swelling to both eyes, small tear on right eyelid. Superficial scratches to nose.

Scordi-Bello: "he had on his right arm a number of linear patterned abrasions - scrapes, varying sizes 2-3mm to 5-6 cm on upper arm and part of forearm."

Right?? Many of us were wondering why the CW hadn't called the ME's at the beginning of the trial. Now, I think we all understand why they saved them for last. They didn't bring anything to the table at all. IMO.

Dr. Scordi-Bello: fractures were emanating from the back of the skull

Judge calls short recess.

ISB says she observed multiple fractures in the victim's skull. She says there was a laceration in the back of the skull which led to the fractures..caused by a blunt object

The reason the judge isn't allowing the expert to testify to whether or not the wounds are consistent with a car accident is because she isn't an expert on car accident wounds. She is, however, qualified as an expert on dog bite wounds. As mentioned, she literally wrote the book on the issue.

The prosecution is welcome to introduce a witness to rebut her testimony, or to offer an expert witness on car accident wounds.
Wouldn't it have been nice if they had offered an actual expert on accident reconstruction?!

@BienickWCVB

Stonebridge says the trauma was "something that required some type of force". Can't say what type of force or how much. Says could be consistent with a fall or being struck by a vehicle. Lally concludes questioning. No cross-examination.

I keep forgetting to mention this, but Bob Saget died from a head injury from falling, also.

(Still find it weird that his injury was as severe as it was and he tucked himself into bed before he died, but the brain does weird things.)

What else caused these marks? one is clearly a deep paw imprint
I tend to agree Tiger0822. And I have questioned previously which supposed surface(s) on a 2021 Lexus LX 570 would cause those multiple parallel furrows / gouges (IIRC as described somewhere way up thread)?

Is it one surface or multiple? Was the poor victim backed over multiple times? Will the prosecution put on a credible accident reconstruction expert to clarify this?

Looking at those furrows, I cannot IMO think of any surface on that vehicle that might cause such a pattern.

If one wants to break a supposed 2021 Lexus LX 570 rear right taillight into a supposed configuration the prosecution wants one to believe resulted - with resulting ‘hanging’ polycarbonate pieces and demonstrate how this occurred it would be quite helpful. MOO

Agreed. Head injuries can be unpredictable.

Yes, and OT but responding to this point…. there is also the sad case of Natasha Richardson who later died from having suffered an earlier fall IIRC. MOO

I mean, Proctor told us it was a car accident. Why can't you just take his word for it? :D

According to: Dr. Irini Scordi-Bello testimony:

@KristinaRex

Cause of death (determined by autopsy) was blunt injuries to head and hypothermia. Manner of death (determined by circumstances/investigative information) could not be determined. Dr says she didn't have enough information to determine accident or not. #WBZ

Ah, this is the "whackjob" who didn't cave to Proctor and Bukhenik's pressure about the manner of death being homicide. Even after they sent her photos and laid out the case for her!

And she’s the one who wrote that he didn’t die from a fight???

Can’t wait to see this cross
