He has no proof of his accusations.
He can't just speculate ( in theory that is, but maybe it's all good and that's "how we do it" in MA per Cannone?!). That is slimey, underhand, non-ethical and not allowed in a court of law. Jmo

Bad lawyering there by Brennan imo. So much for being a top lawyer. Is he all hot air? If you're going to be a prosecutor, you need to understand the concept of evidence. Jmo

Boggles the mind that the CW thought this mob defense attorney was up for the task.

I'm betting Lally loved today.

We have 3 more days of this BS coming up.

Wow. Just wow! What a complete fiasco by the CW and corrupt judge cannone.( I'm not capitalizing her name anymore as I think she's a disgrace of a judge.) The obvious contempt she has for the Defense team and Read is palpable and disgusting. How can this happen?

Sure does, though the CW isn't known for making rational or reasonable decisions when it comes to prosecuting KR. From past history perhaps not so surprising cw thought this mob lawyer would understand the role of prosecutor. Omg, it takes something to start making even Lally look good in comparison!

This is not a prosecution, it is a persecution.

The bias of judge canonne could not be more obvious. We all saw it today when she reprimanded Alessi about speculating and to move on to the merits. But she conveniently let Brennan speculate multiple times. This is there for EVERYONE to see! In my opinion Karen Read can not get a fair trial in this court with this joke of a judge. I've never seen anything like this before in an American court. People should be outraged!

I haven’t kept up with this since the trial ended. Can anyone give me a brief rundown of what is going on right now?

Also, is the issue that the jury wasn’t aware of the fact that they could acquit on two of the charges just a moot point now? No follow up?

Here's part 2 of Read's interview w/ Boston 25

Does Paul O’Keefe not work? He seems to be in court every day.

The allegation is that the defense misrepresented their relationship with the ARCCA team that testified and the court is working through that.

I'm not sure this partial verdict thing isn't much ado about nothing. I just got off a criminal jury in MA where the defendant was facing over a dozen charges that I presume would've put them away for a lot longer than Karen Read is facing. Jury deadlocked (call it 6-6) and a mistrial was declared, but a couple of the charges did seem to have been (my words) "tacked on" without the CW providing much evidence or even effort to prove them. There was no push from the judge (or to my knowledge the defense or CW) to provide a charge by charge vote. The inquiry was more like 'where does the jury stand?'

A Body in the Snow - Courtesy ID

ID is presenting an all-new true crime docuseries in March, covering the fascinating case of Karen Read. A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read is a five-part series that will run across three nights on Investigation Discovery (ID).

If you don't know already of the Ohio Rhoden family murders in 2016, the 3rd of the 4, and the last murderer to be tried is appearing before a 'visiting' Judge Jonathan Hein who makes Cannone look good. By his actions he has all but destroyed the prosecution case.

It would be amazing if there was a governing body that could review a judge's actions. It seems to me someone should be looking into the actions of both Cannone and Judge Hein. Both seem to have lost the ability to be fair and impartial in my opinion
