Wednesday.

'Sparks fly between #KarenRead's attorney, #AlanJackson, and Judge Beverly Cannone as the defense fights to have the case against Read tossed out. Karen Read's defense team has filed a motion to dismiss based on what they say is "extraordinary governmental misconduct" on the part of the prosecution. '

Who's the guy in the suit sitting with JOK's family?

Attorney Jackson and the entire defense team is so thorough in their research and delivery of arguments. There's no doubt that Jackson will tear Crosby's testimony/credentials to shreds imo. AJ is a brilliant attorney and the judge obviously knows this. It seems nothing gets by him.
MOO.

Don't know.
One of the family's lawyers or their staff?
Personal security?
What does his little lapel pin state?

I forget the guy's name but he's a friend of JOK. He was kicked out of the 1st trial for pushing Karen in the hallway outside of the court when she and her team were trying to either get back inside or outside the court room. I don't think it was a major deliberate shove but there was some kind of commotion involving him. I can't remember the exact details so I may be off a little but that's the gist of it.

I can't make it out. He looks like LE. Yes, it may be a lawyer.

He’s a Boston Police Officer/detective and yes, as others mentioned, was the one involved in the physical assault (incident, whatever you want to call it) against Karen one day when she was exiting the courthouse restroom. He was removed the courtroom and not allowed back. I’m not sure how long that was for but obviously as we see him back in the courtroom, it wasn’t anything permanent.

Yes, claims he was a good friend of John's. Name is Karl Dugal. He was removed from the court for shoving Read during the trial. But the judge is apparently cool with him being back. Maybe he'll get to really hurt her next time? It's appalling.

The Thuggery, The Corruption, The Hiding and Manipulating Evidence, The Creation of 'Victims of Harassment', ( Looky here....not at that ) The Targetting and Vile Use of the Law...
This is enough to sway even a believer of Karen Read's guilt to the other side.
You just can't believe it ! And the CW still thinks this is a winner?

Again, so sorry for Karen Read, John O'Keefe and the People of MA.
Watch your back, stay in your lane, and don't cross those in their perceived power. Because, as we all can see....it will cost you. Dearly

MOO

He is strategically placed in his sitting position in front of the cameras. More bullying tactics. MOO

The intimidation techniques allowed in this case is just another reason to distrust this court. The judge doesn't even care that she shows her bias. She was allowed to do so in the first trial and it emboldened her to be even more so now. The CW won't win this case on their own, they will win it through the power of the bench.

Cannone.webp

But... of course if the CW wants to allow someone to testify, they can do so without any bump in the road. She made the defense experts testify so that the CW would know what to prepare for their cross. I look forward to Alan Jackson decimating the CW's "expert" in trial.

However, I am still extremely worried about this new trial. They have doubled down on trying to get a guilty verdict. I hope the new jury sees the corruption and lets it be known.

Can’t the defense get a depo from Crosby in any event?

What is this BS? Is not KR entitled to attorneys of her choosing? She's paying for it right?

Of course she denied it. Did anyone expect anything different? Just another check-mark on the appeal form. I expect there will be a line of attorney's around the block willing to work pro-bono on this case moving forward. We still have 2 more hours to go for more BS to come out of this, and I use this term lightly, "judge" today.

She seemed ready off of just Yannetti's Motion until Brennan did his little performance about how KR and TB/AK were not co-defendants, yet seemed to share discovery, blah, blah,...

Of course, he left out that these parties were not indicted by any grand jury and therefore not co-defendants!

During the initial Motions hearings -- Cannone raised no issues and appeared ready to approve additional counsel for KR until Brennan pulled his little stunt inferring Attorney Bederow's client and KR were known to share information. From the denial, seems the Court selectively picked apart the defense's Motion to back up Brennan's allegations, and instead called on Mass Rules of Prof Responsibility to cite Bederow's conflict was not waivable!

Never mind the CW desperately tried and failed to link and indict KR and journalist TB/AK (Bederow's client), they continue to paint a picture that this actually occurred.
