Can’t the defense get a depo from Crosby in any event?

Crosby is being offered as the rebuttal witness against defense expert witness Dr. Russell. The CW claims Crosby took measurements of Chloe's dog teeth and claws, and the measurements will show the marks on JOK's arm are too far apart. Some believe the Court denied the defense's request for a hearing to challenge Crosby's expertise and methodology as not to delay the trial but had no problem giving the prosecution two days to challenge the qualifications of the defense expert witness Dr. Russell. The objection by Read and her defense goes to “the weight of the evidence, not its admissibility,” Cannone wrote.

Crosby, a retired police lieutenant who worked in the Jacksonville, Fla. Sherriff’s Office, will be called by prosecutors to offer rebuttal testimony to defense expert Dr. Marie Russell.

I adore Bederow and have watched him speak about this case for hours on YouTube over the past year. He is absolutely brilliant and has stellar credentials on par with everyone else on the team if not better. Of course they wanted to get rid of him. Absolutely disgusting. He's not going to take this sitting down. I wonder if they can do an interlocatory appeal and shut this case down while the defense appeals this?! Absolutely ridiculous. This judge is as dirty as they get and doesn't care who knows it. That's the problem with appointed judges. You can't get rid of them, you can't do a thing. If they can prove she committed jury tampering by having a state trooper take care of the jury and possibly look through their notebooks, and not have any kind of due process when getting rid of multiple jurors, they might have a chance. Uncivil Law on YouTube seemed to think that KR also had a possible chance with her federal habeas corpus motion. I think it may be just one judge. I'm praying he's been watching all of these proceedings for the past year or two and actually knows what's going on, but who knows. This is so incredibly depressing. It is affecting my personal life and mood on a daily basis, so I may need to give it a break. Other people don't seem to understand that it's not that I personally care for KR, but that I know this is just a microcosm of millions of other cases of injustice that go on every single day and it's very scary to feel like you have no control over what might happen to you or a family member if they get caught up in the justice system. It's sickening to know that respectable people like judges and law enforcement can be evil and as bad as the criminals they go after. It's just a scary thing to know that the world is so messed up, EVEN IF you are an upper class, highly educated woman who can afford, well not anymore, expensive attorneys. Imagine what happens to everyone else.

Well will you look at that. The "judge" gave one to the Defense! She has imposed a gag order on the Defense lawyers but has Denied to impose the sanctions against them, that Brennan wanted. Call me surprised!

There could be video of the Canton PD tampering, and presented in court, and Judge Cannone would disallow it! Probably was, seeing how they deleted part of the video, and transposed it to allow the PD say I did not tamper with 'that light'. MOO.

My question to OP was, can't they still get a depo of this expert? Even though there is no pretrial hearing on it, they will still know what he is going to say?

So I listened to the whole thing because this is a bugbear topic of mine.

100% agree with LYN. Bonkers interview to give and I really wish courts would start smacking down both prosecutors and defence lawyers who do this.
