I had a close family friend murdered and being a witness on the stand is absolutely horrible.
Yes it would be horrible. Why would she be smiling like that and licking her lips after every sentence. I've never seen such a weird witness looking so cutesy and happy, particularly for such an important trial.

When Jen trys to get Karen to leave with her from the Waterfall, how was Matt McCabe and John supposed to get to the party? I think Jen said Matt left with her from the Waterfall?
I just assumed John world take Karen’s car.

Her focus is only on herself, not that JOK died and another person is charged with his death that she instigated to pin it on. She needs that to happen, KR charged and NOTHING any further is looked at starting with her and of course her family that she brings up to jury as a bunch of lovely people. No reason to be interviewed by LE separately per her, we're family. You sure are!! IMO.

Witness JMc truthful. She tried to clear up the matter about who she called after a traumatic event- she tried to explain it in simple terms, she clarified the calls of who she spoke with to an agent. She is honest in her testimony. Jackson on the other hand despite Judge Cannone’s ruling slipped the word “agent” at every opportunity. Hes looking more like a snake every day.

His client, the defendant, Karen Read, has already admitted "I know I said I hit him.”
BTW, why would JMc need to lie about I hit him, when others have already stated she said it.
Jackson ... you silly snake...

The defendant was making punching gestures that night as JMc testified to today. Oh my, when defense sees BA and BH play fighting it’s something totally different according to them- they are warming up for an attack later.

There is a clip on X of the defendant making punching gestures that night (as JMc stated) posted by an unapproved source, otherwise I would post it. Maybe ADA Brennan will play it during trial. We shall see.

Just my opinion

You know Judge Cannone is being watched closely too. I am grateful for that.
Maybe that is why she just does not care. Knows she is out once this trial is over and doing her friends, McAlberts a solid. She knows the FBI is on to her and her D.A. so I think she knows she's due some big reprimanding but what does she care. She seems to be another one that just lives in her own world with her own standards that are comfortable to her to happily live with. She refused to recuse herself from the trial from the start when advised to. Special case to her from the beginning. IMO

She loves the attention on the witness stand. She's a piece of work!
The bulldog.
Come on now, that's an insult to bulldogs everywhere.

It completely amazes me that this judge allows what she does and doesn’t reprimand actual perjury! The bias she has shown is unbelievable / unfathomable - especially given the amount of people watching.

I wonder what the FBI thinks about Jen’s actions. She is not a credible witness and the highest percentage of people agree with me. How do they feel about the people checking their stories with each other (“tell them the man didn’t come in the house”)

Jennifer McCabe was asked 12 different times during her GJ testimony to state what Karen Read said during her time with JMc that fateful morning and NOT ONCE did JMc state that Karen said," I hit him". 12 times and she never said Karen said I hit him. In her report to Michael Proctor, she never said it either.

Maybe the judge wanted JMc to continue perjuring herself so she let her ramble on.
The Desperate Housewives of Canton.

They’ve really coached her to soften her facial expressions. She isn’t angry looking this time around.
Even her softened face looks ugly IMO. Her looking so smug and defiant refusing to answer simple questions because she's so smart and all.

Otherwise known as colluding. A word some don't want to consider.

I have to agree with AJ here. Words are important. Especially in court. I grew up hearing ‘be impeccable with your word.’
After JMc said ‘we’re fighting over silly words’ [comparing what she said on the police report and to the Grand Jury to what she is saying now] and AJ countered that by saying ‘words are important’ Judge C told the jury to ignore his comment. Ugh. So words are not important at a trial, jury.

Also, Judge C told AJ to expect an argumentative answer from JMc because his question was argumentative. So witnesses are allowed to not answer a direct question from an attorney and then further allowed to argue with an attorney about their non-answer?

JMc won’t give AJ a straight answer and dismisses anything she said previously with an ‘I don’t remember’ and IMO commit perjury and AJ has no ability to ask that the witness gives a yes or no answer or even properly answer a question. This seems outrageous to me.

I remember BA saying Chloe sleeps in their closet and she must have been in there. I don’t ever remember any witness stating the daughter took the dog. I do remember that was speculated by a lot of us here but never testified to in court. I could have missed it? I’ll look too. I am behind in this thread so maybe I’ve missed your next post already.
JMO
I don’t think it was testified that the dog went home with the daughter. It certainly has been speculated by the group here on WS, however. Maybe that’s where the idea came from.

Karen Read scores major win as judge allows crash reconstruction testimony

"I understand completely the commonwealth's argument, the ambush that has been set upon here," she said. "However, a defendant's right to a fair trial is paramount to everything. So I'm going to allow the ARCCA witnesses to testify. I'm going to allow what I expect will be a very robust cross-examination."
MSN

What is the judge referring to in her first sentence? What “ambush”?

Ugh. So words are not important at all at a trial, jury.

Also, Judge C told AJ to expect an argumentative answer from JMc because his question was argumentative. So witnesses are allowed to not answer a direct question from an attorney and then further allowed to argue with an attorney about their non-answer?

This case is really exposing the dirty underbelly of the Massachusetts justice system. How is anyone supposed to get a fair trial there?

I’m no expert but it seems like what the judge demands from the defense should be the same for the CW. In fact from the trials I’ve watched the judge usually allows the defense a bit more leeway. It’s so unfair.

John Adams would be ashamed.

The CW told her to try not to look angry, imo.

She sure lost control when she started talking about Karen. It was 0-60, I couldn’t believe how quickly she became venomous. I thought I’d missed some footage between normal and not normal.

WOW!! I missed all of today and am just catching up by watching the replay. My thoughts so far now...

1: So called judge, cannone needs to be in jail. The more than obvious bias is disgraceful to all who wear the robe and who have taken The Oath. Her behavior is absolutely appalling! I've never seen anything like this. She isn't even pretending to be fair anymore. I wouldn't be happy if she was just disbarred, she needs to be put in a cell. She sold herself to the Devil in my opinion. I've never been more disgusted with a so called judge.

2: I didn't think it possible but JMC testimony is almost worse than her 1st go around on this. She is a vile and vicious person who lies as easily as she blinks her eyes. The woman just can not give a basic answer to a yes or no question. Why is it so hard for her?? Why is every question met with so much confusion and trepidation? Why does she have to have her memory "refreshed" so many times? Why can't she consistently answer questions she has been asked over and over and over again? She has given testimony now on how many different hearings, depositions, Grand juries and other court proceedings??

You know what she's acting like to me? A murderer and criminal!! Her changing stories, her lies, her confusion, her stammering, her needing to "refresh" her memory and having to think about each question without giving just a simple answer, make me think of every single true crime interrogation I've ever watched. Whether it be a cop asking questions on a simple traffic stop or a detective asking questions to someone they think has committed a murder. Her actions, answers, non-answers, deflections, stalling for time, feigned ignorance, and demeanor raise a ton of red flags in my opinion. I have no doubt that she is hiding something. Just given her behavior thru all of this, I believe that SHE is more likely to have caused JOK's death then Karen Read. I sincerely can't believe how anyone thinks this absolute disastrous testimony helps the CW. It's worse than The Titanic, The Hindenburg, Pearl Harbor and 9/11 all wrapped up in a neat little box and slid under the Christmas Tree on X-Mas morning!

3: Again I have to ask, who is on trial here? These witnesses the CW have called have been just plain horrible. They are getting completely decimated on a daily basis. They act more complicit in a cover-up then they do as honest, hardworking people who want to get to the bottom of JOK's murder.

4: Through all of jen mcabe's testimony I didn't hear anything about JOK. I saw no real, heartfelt emotion other than the crocodile tears that this good friend of JOK's IMO faked. It is such a shame this man's death revealed the very worst of people. His life should be celebrated and acknowledged without all of this BS drama surrounding this crime. The antics of this trial and all of those involved has over-shadowed his life.

How can anyone believe a word Jen says knowing how she even lied to the Feds. The brass ones it takes to do that. Is there one prosecution witness that isn’t a documented liar?
