Know what....never heard KR say anything about hitting John on that last voice mail....only a scared hysterical woman. I am sure she has relived it thousand of times.
She not remember what she did. 100 pound and 9 drinks.

Paul Gallagher is an odd one. He was a long time cop who climbed the ranks and you’d think he’s been to court many times, but he talks way too much. I can’t believe this guy was a lieutenant.
Some people just follow...and collect their money?

Why did they skip the cross of Trooper Guarino?

I think there is an agreement he will be crossed when he testifies for the final time.

Brennan has to call him multiple times due to the way the Judge decided the texts and VMs would be read into evidence.

IMO

I can honestly believe in covering up a crime. Look at what already happened in their jurisdiction. Everyone turned a blind eye to the obvious because "one of their own" was involved.

In Utah, there were at least 4 teenagers involved (or had knowledge of) the death of another teen. Those 4 kept quiet until the FBI came in to investigate and a couple were put in jail for perjury.

I hope that eventually the truth of this case is found, but I am hesitant to believe it!

I believe Brennan stated before lunch break that this was his ( Guarino) final time.
Just curious, as Judge Bev asked Alessi prior to the lunch break if he was ok with waiting until after lunch. Which he replied " Yes".

You've already admitted you're biased due to having friends and family in a police department in the area, so it's hard to take your opinion as anything but blatant bias.

They have a procedure to follow. They didn't follow it. They botched the investigation.

Gallagher calling it ok on the stand doesn't make it ok.
Being a cop for 30 years doesn't make it ok to ruin a homicide investigation out of pure unprofessionalism + apathy + who knows what else. Lots of veteran cops do irrational things, awful things, you name it.
All the cover-up issues regarding Karen & Jen McCabe are clearly more than enough, then you add in this clown with his red solo cups and other garbage. The station was 1 or 2 miles away. He freely admitted on the stand he could've gotten the appropriate tools but didn't. He sent an officer to their own house to get a damn leaf blower but couldn't go to the station for swabs, containers, evidence bags. It makes no sense.
Did Gallagher testify in first trial, I can't remember him. So could it be that when he discovered who it was and where he was, he didn't bring his A-game to the scene??? I remember the red cups and the stop and shop bag but not him.

IIRC The FBI/DOJ actually sent or had the doc sent to the Prosecutor.
The P then shared the information with the Defense during discovery in a document dump.

The Prosecutor for whatever reason chose to not use ARCCA ( maybe bc it did not fit their agenda/charges). If the Prosecutor had phoned ARCCA and chatted about their results /report, we might not be here in this mess right now.

So much confusion about ARCCA I think here and in general - as well as distrust. Is it an anti science bias or maybe bc of the confusion around the FBI's role and why were they hired?
Thoughts?

It's another head shaker for me.

I hope we find out why the FBI was/is involved. I do know, local LE or DA can ask the FBI for help in investigations, but for some reason do not see that happening in this part of the country, AJMO.

And I wonder if she ever had time to grieve. She seems to have loved John and the kids. They were a package deal in her eyes. I'm not partial to KR but just as someone who is innocent of these charges.

AJ pointing out the complete lack of contextual photos at the scene of the crime.

5:45 the first item was discovered - after Karen’s car was seized.

I think when this trial is over we will see many lawsuit. Guilty or not. John deserved better and actually Karen deserved better. I go back and forth on the verdict.
I have had the same thoughts. I also hope that the real murderer(s) along with any accomplices will be investigated, tried and convicted.

So there were officers on scene that Canton PD did not request, and officers did not recognize? A mix of state and local officers? 4 of them.

Brennan: Can I approach?
Bev: YES :) :) :)

Defense: Can I approach?
Bev: ... ugh... yes??? :////

2 from MSP, 2 from Canton PD. They were not formally requested to be there.

Depends how many dead bodies in a snowstorm they've dealt with. Especially not understanding exactly what occured to the victim. JMO

I have, I disagree. I don't think very highly of those "experts" paid by the defense. The defendant herself lied about even driving there and then, according to various testimonies, admitted she hit JO.
I notice many people in this forum quote their sources of information and link clips to what they are arguing. I haven't seen any clips or sources referenced from you. I have asked for them. It could really enhance your argument. It's liking writing an argumentative essay but backing up your point with documented references.

AJ had a 41 minute phone conversation with them.
IIRC, that was after the defense accepted the study. It makes sense to then be able to discuss it in detail. Either side had the choice to do this.

No tail light pieces found when JOK's body found.

KR's car impounded
Timing of the impounding was oddly inaccurate in report
Car went into sally port unsecured
Video segments of sally port missing
Tail light pieces found in evening
No photos to document condition at impounding nor did any witness testify to seeing 40+ pieces of red reflective tail light on ground

You can research timeline if you're interested.

ETA: And throw in an unsecured scene.
Then sallyport video was reversed/inverted AND too many pieces from tail light found when reassembled...left over pieces, hmmm

Did she also do that long, drawn out, heavy sigh?
I haven't been watching the past half hour or so lol.
That sigh she always does bugs the heck out of me - it's a "can't be bothered" noise.
IMO.
