BBM.
Do you know anyone who has dealt with colon cancer? I have. My mom and my uncle. SEVERAL procedures for each, including a colostomy bag for my uncle. His cancer also spread to one of his lungs, requiring even more procedures. Both ended up with colitis and had to be hospitalized. None of us know how bad KR's illness was (or still is).
We are not privy to her medical records, but if she had complications (colon removal, etc...) then YES, she could have had that many procedures in that short of time, and she could have pretty severe, long-lasting medical issues because of her diagnosis.
Why is this even being brought up as a negative about KR?
She's a cancer survivor, and deserves some grace for that.
IMO, as always.
Other than KR’s text exchanges with BH, I never heard that she was a cancer survivor. I was under the impression that the colostomy was a result of colitis or Crohn’s disease.

The lack of grace and empathy regarding purely personal issues towards individuals about issues that are not case related, crosses from petty imo to obsessive in some instances. It’s troubling to me at times.
I have seen it in other cases too on other threads. Perhaps it’s what some would characterize as too passionate.

It's just weird. The one about her not liking children seems especially odd to me as the same person has brought it up at least 4 times.

He didn't lose his job for being obnoxious.

The word "biased" appears in the press release announcing his firing. We'll hear more soon.
snipped
The defense lawyers have accused Proctor of manipulating evidence and conducting a biased investigation. He was dishonorably discharged in March after a review by state police officials found that he violated agency rules when he sent derogatory messages about Read to friends, family and others, and when he shared sensitive and confidential details about the case with non-law enforcement personnel.

Bukhenik was later disciplined over the accuracy of Proctor's performance evaluation, he testified, and for failing to adequately supervise him. He lost five vacation days, he said, and remains a homicide investigator with the Massachusetts State Police.

"Accused"? Not sure what you mean. Her alleged murderer is awaiting trial in a Federal holding center.

As for crossover personnel with the investigations, yes, there were some of the same troopers and Canton cops. Most notable, IMO, is Nicholas Guerino who was the CW's phone expert in the last trial. He "missed" over 33,000 damning texts between the victim and her killer, including the critical ones proving statutory rape. These were found by the FBI, who investigated the investigation. The State police were happy to let him get away with rape and murder.
The others that were sued by SB's family.

Like I said, we aren't privy to her medical records. Cancer, colitis, Chron's, plus MS, are all horrible diseases.
Her health issues have zero to do with her case and certainly shouldn't be used as a big negative "gotcha" against her.
I'm frankly appalled.
IMO.

Read's attorneys say Norfolk Attorney Michael Morrissey, Canton Police Sgt. Michael Lank and Canton Police Det. Kevin Albert are among the officers involved in both cases.
I guess the judge disagrees with KR's attorneys about that, if mention of that case is not allowed.

She doesn't like children, but JOK got onto her about spoiling the kids.
Makes no sense.
IMO.

It's really more than even "too passionate" IMO and yes, very obsessive and also compulsive, especially coming from someone who is inside courtrooms with their job and also on here (and other places) spreading continual hate and bias aimed towards Karen Read. Often some of the information they are spreading is false. Maybe they should get out of this line of work for their own well-being IMO.

Being crude has nothing to do with losing a job. I would think the bias charge would make people who actually care about justice concerned. My stepbrother Troy is a cop and he said these guys make a mockery of cops who actually work to do a good job and care about the truth.
Some cops are bias and should never wear a uniform. There's a lot of bias in the world. It doesn't mean every cop that gets on the stand to testify in the KR case is cut from the same cloth, as the defense would like the jury to think.

Yeah, the 'missing' of all those incriminating texts between the deceased and the defendant by Guarino in the Birchmore case was a real eye opener. Hard to believe it came down to simple incompetence. I suppose the door was not opened as to relevance to have that exposed on Guarino's record for this trial? Moo It's certainly an example of suspect activity involving a cop's potential bias and gross incompetence hindering an investigation against one of their own. Jmo
Guarino is also the guy who testified that he was able to use phone data to track JOKs steps from the bar to Karen’s car very precisely but then went on about how unreliable that same data is when it showed JOK taking many more steps than would have been possible if he had gotten hit by Karen after exiting her car. He is so shady.

I have a few questions.

Why do you think KR lied about leaving JO at the Waterfall that night? Or why did she lie about ever going to the Albert's house? Why did she say at first she didn't see JO go into the house and then change it later, after her arrest, to she DID see him go in?

I see no truth in YB making this statement. JMOO

Trooper fired over Karen Read investigation handled case with 'honor and integrity,' his supervisor says

Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik acknowledged that he was disciplined over the conduct of former trooper Michael Proctor.
Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik acknowledged that he was also disciplined over misconduct allegations linked to Michael Proctor, the case agent who managed the investigation into the death of Boston police officer John O’Keefe. But the supervisor testified that the former trooper handled the probe with “honor and integrity.”
BOOM BAM!!!!

He is so shady.

He also claimed in the last trial at least that John's steps were from Karen driving up and down hills on the way to Fairview.

I can confirm there are exactly zero hills on the route. Flat as a pancake.

Well when the cop on the stand defends such behavior and uses the word integrity for him sorry it does makes me think at least Yuri is cut from the same cloth.

Aren’t you one always posting about how drunk she was? Maybe that’s why.

Why do you think any of this outweighs the very important evidence based on medical science and physics that JOK was NOT killed by a car?

YB also used a like emjoi on one at least of proctors crude texts. YB WAS proctor's supervisor in the MA STATE POLICE. YB got his hand slapped for this and non professional behavior as p's supervisor. More may be coming for YB in the future, I so hope. IMO
ALL a big joke just like KR said to YB, reason why he upped her charges, she called him out. He's a hater it seems very much of strong single women, intimidates him, actually disgusts him it seems. Not LE worthy or trusted ever again nor should he have been before of course. IMO

And did you catch his excuse for using the like emoji? He stated he was directing traffic and checked his messages quickly, and liked the comment to indicate he had read the thread, not because he was liking the comments. His story is unbelievable, given his attitude and testimony on the stand about Proctor conducting the investigation with integrity and honor. IMO Bukhenic is as bad as Proctor in conduct. I doubt he would have missed those 5 vacation days either, likely banked overtime at time and a half where he worked 3 days but got paid for 5 days, a total of maybe $1500 out of his pocket. A slap in the wrist !
