Lucky may not know WHOSE Ford Edge it was but yes, a few of them had one as named above. Brian Alberts was a Ford Edge, his 'work' car. That means while he was employed as a Boston Police Officer. Lucky noticed it there the 2nd pass by, not the first as it was not there. It was not there a couple hours later when KR and JMc and Kerrie showed up. It was right in front of where JOK was discovered. Plow was out plowing, convenient spot to put JOK there, car there as may of been used to bring him to that spot or to hide that area till needed meaning discovery by ANYONE. Did B.Higgins switch his car at the late night visit to the CPD? It's THEIR cars that play a role, not KR's. IMO

So now I wonder where was this Ford Edge earlier in the night?
Was it parked at the house in a different location? Did it leave and return?
Was it someone who arrived later to the house? And then left?
Lots of questions here!

IMO

This. I get he's saying that the impact on the body wouldn't be the same as hitting a person with an SUV, but what about the impact on the SUV?
Not only that but dummies are designed for testing. They are used all the time.

And the amount they were getting paid, they could afford a few dummies that they could hit at different angles/speeds etc to at least show a potential range of outcomes.

I remember the Dr said at the end of his testimony, that the hand could have hit the center of the tail light and broken it.....right....no broken bones.

Maybe they don't want the dummies to be used for a reason.

I don't think the plow driver fared very well on cross-examination. Last trial.

On cross-examination, Loughran told prosecutor Adam Lally his truck was initially in the middle of the road he was plowing.
He told Lally he met a defense investigator at a skating rink in February 2022 and told him he would have seen a body on the lawn or the sidewalk.
Lally said there’s no sidewalk on Fairview, and Loughran also said there’s no street lighting on the road.
Lally asked if Loughran initially told the investigator that the vehicle he saw in front of the street was “a small SUV.” Loughran said, “nope, told him it was a Ford Edge.”
Loughran said the investigator brought him out to the parking lot of the rink and showed him a Ford Edge, and he confirmed that was the type of vehicle he had seen.
Lally asked what color the Edge was and Loughran said he’s colorblind, but that the Edge appeared to be “light” in color.
Lally also asked how Loughran would know where O’Keefe’s body was found.
”The car was to the left of the door, putting it in front of the flagpole,” Loughran said.
”So how do you know where Mr. O’Keefe’s body was found?” Lally asked.
Loughran said through news reports.
”So this doesn’t come from your personal knowledge,” Lally said of the location.
“Correct,” Loughran said.
He said a subcontractor was also plowing the roads at the time.
Lally asked if Loughran in May 2023 had told authorities he went past Fairview around 12 a.m. and 2 a.m., and had come into work earlier than what he testified to Friday.
”Did you go down Fairview Road at 12 a.m. and 2 a.m.?” Lally asked.
“No,” Loughran said.
Lally asked if he previously indicated seeing the Edge at 1:30 a.m. or 2 a.m.
Loughran said he didn’t recall saying that and that it wasn’t accurate.
Lally asked if Loughran hit a basketball hoop on the night he was plowing, and he said yes and that he notified his supervisor.
Loughran said he didn’t recall what time he hit the hoop.
”You don’t recall anything specific about that time,” Lally said.
Loughran told Lally he met with Yannetti twice before testifying. The defense investigator was also present, he said, and he saw neither of them write anything down.
Lally asked if he’s correct in saying Loughran’s sure of all the times he was on Fairview Road but couldn’t say when he hit the hoop.
”I don’t recall exactly what time I hit that net,” Loughran said.
Yannetti asked on redirect if Loughran saw a black Lexus on Fairview around 5 a.m., as Lally had asked.
”I did not see a Lexus at 5 a.m.,” Loughran said.
Lally asked on recross if Loughran was on Fairview around 5 a.m., and he said that he was, but Lally noted that he testified having returned to Fairview about three hours after 3:30 a.m., which would put the time around 6:30 a.m. Loughran then stepped down from the stand.

Exactly, where are the MythBusters Jaime and Adam when you need them?

If that is the case I’m no longer impressed with the safety of a Lexus! Sounds flimsy
No way I could break a taillight or headlight in my Suburban and not suffer broken bones to my hand! Maybe a well placed karate chop??

To me this alone proves Karen was "setup".
Exactly!!! When this happened that day I almost peed my jeans.
It was a HUGE bam!!!
Later I saved this tweet in my phone. However, I got a new cell, so I had to go digging for it on google. It took a bit but I found it.

So what would the dummy Welcher used be considered?
He used it outside of a car- so it was a pedestrian, it surely wasn’t a passenger. Confusing

IMO
He was just doing a drop test. I don't think it's confusing, it's totally different to recreating a pedestrian's unique body movements, under the effects of alcohol, and with unquantified car speeds.

MOO

I thought of that myself. They would have done a much better job in my opinion.😀

Kevin Albert who was taken to task by drinking with proctor on the job, only lost several 'vaca' days. Nothing, he has a Ford Edge, the boyfriend of the girl who called him late to say she changed her mind, pick her up to go home, he has one. He is applying or was to be CPD OR CFD. She is the one that came up with the story she saw a little white dog and brought it to the police station but the owners were outside of it so she didn't need to go in. ODDD. So, yes, at least four if Chris Albert had one too. One of their cars were involved in being an accessory or actual harmer of JOK. IMO. I think that girl was not ALLIE, who was called by colin to pick him up, but another of JMc's daughters. IMO

I'm not a doctor, so I don't claim to be an expert, but if I can seriously injured my finger PUTTING ON A SHOE (which I've done, long story) and I regularly bruise my hands hitting them off door handles etc with the limited force of hands swinging by my side as a walk, I'd imagine that the amount of force needed to break plastic DESIGNED NOT TO BREAK EASILY would at least leave some evidence on a hand.

Total different test. Falling backwards is falling backwards

I’m not saying I’m confused- I’m saying if he claims dummies don’t react like muscles do- why use one for a drop test?

In order for a living healthy body to simply drop like he showed the dummy dropping- the person would not react to catch themselves at all.
Why would a guy grazed on the arm by a taillight proceed to fall backward like a that with no reflexes?

I can see that if he stumbled backwards and caught both of his heels on the curb- he could not catch himself. Or if he was so intoxicated his reflexes were too slow.
I guess it is possible

Just my opinion
