x-exam of Dr Russell kind of off point and tedious

haha she just looked at the jurors, slightly smiled and raised her eyebrows!

Brennan is being a bit slower and as nasty as I thought he would be. Most likely strategic, attacking her would not look good. IMO

I get what he is sayin... that she does not have a lot of experience in court, etc with dog bites, however, I get what she is saying too.. not many cases of deaths that have questions surrounding it, that would involve dog bites.
he even just apologized to her for 'being sharp' .. wow lol

Dr. Russell seems to be a whole legend in her own mind.
IMO
In mine too! She has an incredibly impressive resume and work experience. And hey, when you know you’re good, why play bashful? MOO

So.. now Brennan wants to ask a defense witness about the ME's report... I seem to recall that the defense was NOT allowed to do that in regards to Welcher's testimony. hmmm

I remember last trial she couldn’t differentiate between claw marks and bite marks. That’s kinda a big deal IMO

Is there a link to this testimony and quote? TIA

Seriously...does Uber or Lyft not operate in Canton? It costs literally nothing for an shared ride service to get you around in such a small town. I'm talking 10-15 bucks. Not that difficult.
No one's going to do that, meaning that night. The houses were pretty close to the restaurant it seemed. In their own town. It wouldn't even OCCUR to them, they were out socializing and that was THAT. They drove to where some met up with the idea of 'of course' driving home. JOK had told KR he was depending on her being his ride that night, so that showed he knew he did not plan on driving, but also because it sounded as though he planned on NOT being able to safely. IMO

You can always tell the more credentialed a witness is the testier Brennan gets.

So Dr Russell sought out someone, a prosecutor she knew was “friends” with the defense in CALIFORNIA and would pass on her information & willingness to be involved in this high profile case - then used this as an opportunity to advertise her services

Interesting IMO

He’s actually being nicer than I thought he’d be. I mean, he insinuated that she, after a successful career and retirement, was using the Karen Read case to launch a new career in expert testimony… but at least he didn’t yell it! 😂

IIRC Dr. Russell was severely limited in what she could say at the first trial, compared to what she said during this one.. a bit unfair to compare her statements. I think her explanation was good though, she has reviewed this case over and over and has since found even more confirmation with more papers written on the dog bite subject.

Wonder if Brennan had a reality check over the weekend with how he was coming across while crossing DiSogra?

She has the composure of someone with nothing to hide. Now contrast that with Dever! MOO
yes and she seems to be sharing "moments" with the jury if you watch. I don't recall seeing that with any witnesses so far, but I'm not always "watching".

I think he has to be nicer, he’s aware that she’s very likable, believable, and well educated. He has to tread carefully with her. If he seems like he’s attacking her, it won’t benefit him. IMO

doesn't the jury react badly to him asking the same thing over and over when it is not even about the evidence, just her opinion about a hypothetical other expert with less degrees?
