Because then Brennan will be able to cross examine him, rather than direct and he could ask leading questions to Proctor which would have otherwise been objected to by the defense if Brennan had called him.

We saw the effect of this somewhat yesterday when Dever was called. It would be a huge disadvantage to the defense if they have to call him themselves.

JMO
Thank you that’s very good information.

What is sooooo hard to understand that to analyze the wounds as pattern analysis have to be taken as a WHOLE.

Right! I am sure the jurors "get it".

I find it highly ironic that he asks did that change? did your report change? etc etc etc... when his own experts changed their reports mid trial.

I am trying really hard to keep listening, but I started late and this testimony was way better on 2x speed, I'm caught up now and it's slowwwwwwwwwww

Its actually a good strategic move on the defense's part.

He is seriously acting like if you solve a puzzle, you should be able to pick up a single piece and determine what it is. It’s just nonsense. He constantly tries to confuse the jury, IMO. I do like that the good Dr has consistently called him out when he is saying two things to make them sound different, that aren’t actually contradictory.

This has been addressed so many times on this forum already. I fear you're simply wasting your breath. There isn't any explanation good enough, yet it's completely acceptable for the CW, the side supposedly seeking justice, to not call the lead investigator.

HB keeps asking the same questions over and over.
I feel badgered and I am not the witness - she must feel like she wants to just haul off and whack him - he needs to stop for his own good
Claws or teeth - they both exist on a dog -
She has more experience in this area than he will ever have

He is so unsufferable -

The defense’s tactics have been a disgrace. Russell doesnt address the jury when testifying, only makes interesting facial expressions toward ADA Brennan. The dog issue is a moot point. jmo

I hate it when the one testifying does that! Amber Heard diid that not stop. It is so irritating. And when Tammy Moore did that it creeped me out.

When the witness is asked a question I like it when they look right at the attorney and answer it. In M00 the jurors can hear just fine.

I love her so much haha, she’s a class act. Although we did apparently see ^a^ witness with memory issues yesterday, lol!
I am finding Brennan's arguments detestable. Or maybe I find him detestably?? Can jurors see this??

I hope jurors come back after 2 hours with NG.

Oh he gets it alright, he's just harrasing/ trying to wear her down and trying to get her to mis-state something
I'll take Dr Russell anytime for the KO over slithering Brennan. She wins in a landslide.

I think this far into the trial... we just have a natural bias to the lawyers we like/dislike. You're not alone ;) JMO

But the "calling him out" is a hoot!!!!

FYI Brennan, light dusting of snow would have melted under John.

NO one measured where John's body was.

AND no one knows how long he was outside.

The IMPOSSIBLE AND TOTALLY NOT BELIEVABLE claim is him being on the lawn for 5.5 hours and still 80 degrees at the hospital upon arrival.

According to SCIENCE he would have been closer to 32 degrees F / 0 degrees C upon arrival if he was on the lawn for 5.5 hours.

Dr. Rice stated they made efforts to warm him and weren’t successful, so we can assume he stayed at his arrival temp 80 degrees until time of death was called.

The warming efforts, all of which raise core temp by 1-2 degrees Celsius/hour, if successful, were stated to not be successful.

Hypothetically, if we assume he WAS on the lawn 5.5 hours, he would have arrived around 32 degrees F / 0C. AND if we assume hypothetically that the warming methods for 1.5 hours WERE successful, he STILL would have been no where NEAR 80 degrees Fahrenheit. He’d be somewhere around 6 degrees C / 43F.

And I’m being liberal by assuming EACH of the 3 warming methods used raised his temp 2 degrees. so we can say hypothetically his temp would have been raised to 6 degrees C since he would have arrived 0 degrees.

Let’s be even MORE liberal and hypothetically say he arrived 2 degrees C because the heater in the ambulance raised his temp from 0 to 2 degrees C. PLUS we will throw in 6 degrees of warming by efforts at the hospital, he still woukd have been only 8 degrees C / 46F.

The warming methods they used were warm IV fluids, the bear hug, and I’ll throw in the heater in the ambulance as one too.

I hope the prosecution presents this argument. It’s easy to follow and there’s just NO WAY he’d be anywhere NEAR 80 degrees if he was on that lawn for 5.5 hours even with warming efforts.

Thank you for this post. This is probably my number 1 issue and I’m very curious if it will ever be addressed. He supposedly was out there for 5+hours and his body temperature was still 80 degrees, showed no signs of frostbite despite the fact he wasn’t wearing a coat, only had a sock on his foot and it was below freezing that’s night.

If she left at 3:45pm and KR's car was not brought into the Sally port until 5-5:30pm, how is it a lie that she couldn't have seen B and H in the Sally port that afternoon with the Lexus?
How would you explain what she offered up to the FBI then, even with her lawyer present? Was she working the dispatch the very next day or on some other day and mixed up the day? How many days was the SUV parked there? Did she see them in the sallyport before 15:45 that day but with a different SUV there? She saw them, in the sallyport, together, for a very long time, which stood out to her as being weird. It was a clear memory for her. The date/time might be in question, however, she related it to the Karen Read SUV and the day that JOK died. There was nothing vague about her statement to the FBI. It makes no other sense IMO if it wasn't a true statement by her.

Is Hank now suggesting that the wounds to John’s arm could have been caused by bushes??

Dr Russell just said she doesn’t believe John was hit by a vehicle. She says she looked at John’s wounds in their totality.

Poor Dr. Russell is struggling this morning. I think the CW just got her flustered. Her testimony still holds a great deal of weight with me. JMO

He’s a master of obfuscation, I’ll give him that!

I believe this tactic is what some people refer to as "throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping some of it will stick" or something along those lines?
