The ohhhhhh and nodding moment was her friendship with the girl that said she saw the blob on the lawn. A witness. Fed a script witness. Hostile as well or resentful. There you go , more dots sprinkled about like the red pieces of tail light material. IMO
I believe it was JN who saw a “blob” on the lawn.

Funny! 😀

I just want to say that we are not the Vermonters who rehomed Chloe, even though our yellow lab would insist this is the best home on the planet and would love to help rehab a sad girl who clearly wasn't happy in her Canton home.
lol! She could use some loving.

Vermonter here too.
Every time I see a German Shep when I'm out and about I say 'Hi Chloe" 'Hi Cora" j/k

I'm curious why the woman named Riley who took Chloe on her farm gave her to a Veterinarian?

I thought today was the best day in this trial so far. I rewatched the entire testimony of Kelly Devers. I have no idea how she could have had a memory of something that she now says couldn’t have happened. I wish they did a deeper dive into where her initial memory came from. I mean, did she go to bed that night and dream it?
That being said, that girl has spunk, toughness and brains. I loved the way she fearlessly went toe-to-toe with AJ. For some reason, I actually respect the way she bobbed and weaved under extreme pressure, whereas I thought Yuri looked like a fool when he tried to do the same thing.
I think I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't a LEO and it wasn't her own words that she said to the FBI, of course, until "someone told her" she was off the clock by then and there is no way she could have seen that. *wink* *wink* ... just do the right thing ;) ;)

As LE, I would be worried about that testimony being used against her in the future. Officer, isn't it true you are prone to 'false memories'? How can we be sure what you heard/witnessed isn't a 'false memory'?

all JMO

I think they should bring in a dog whisperer who met with Chloe in VT and testifies that Chloe said “I BIT HIM, I BIT HIM, I BIT HIM.”
I wish there was a laugh button😂

She was not nasty and arrogant, she was standing her ground and not putting up with the defense's unsubstantiated innuendos galore. Big mistake putting Officer Devers on by the defense, she swallowed them whole. AJMO

The Dr after her was another huge mistake by the defense, IMO. Self-inflated opinion on her dog bite expertise that it seems only she, the only doctor in the whole country, possesses. One and only time she's contributed her expert opinion on a case too. Does that even qualify her as a dog bite "expert" to testify?

No way those are dog bites, MO. All superficial and no depth to them, and the Dr agreed about that. If a dog like a Shepherd (I've had three in my lifetime, one was my Dad's police dog) came at you, repeatedly, you're drunk and you come away with not even one puncture!? Not likely at all, AJMO
Best idea for the defense to put Devers on the stand and she sure did deliver.
Another liar and this one really exposed the Blue Wall.
Enter Commissioner Cox.

imo

Yep a self-described drunk who supposedly said it while in the back seat of the Mccabe's car but sadly none of the 3 people with her heard it. lol

So many links to defense attorneys with live streams here.
I find that odd.
I miss the original CourtTV - where they’d have a pro prosecution and a defense attorney discuss the trial from their perspective - and Beth who would sit in court rooms and discuss just the facts with no slant and take notes on jurors reactions.

Balance is so important when consuming outside opinions & information.
Confirmation bias is so real. People tend to only listen to what supports their view.

ALL Imo

I attended a trial where Alan Jackson was the prosecutor. It was a full house and I won the lottery to get in and was seated next to Beth. She was so pretty and smelled great. I told her that my Dad had a big crush on her, and she took my hand and said oh your dad is so sweet. Please tell him thank you. I really liked Beth!

I think Lawyer You Know is pretty good.. I think he is followed by a lot of people that think Karen is not guilty or that there is reasonable doubt, but I 'think' the majority that are following do think that IMO. He tries to be realistic about the testimony and doesn't always side with the defense. Oh, and I have watched a few of the Justice Served ones, only because they had an accident reconstructionist on that knew Welcher ;)

But I do agree, there is a lot of people running streams with commentary, lawyers doing podcasts, etc. I don't wanna hear someone else while I'm watching LOL

Can you imagine Officer Dever responding to your 911 emergency ? What if your kid is missing… if your partner threatened you…or if you were hit by a drunk driver? Are you confident that she would listen objectively, document carefully and advise you kindly? Would her report be the same if say, the commissioners son or grandson was with your kid, beat you up or drove into you while intoxicated? She’s tainted and it’s scary to think that she’s probably not the minority.

Why is it such a struggle for even one of the cops with any role in this case to do the right thing?
Why is it a struggle to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’? So irritating- I feel sorry for the jurors.

There is an officer from Dighton that may be called... he only saw a small crack or a missing piece on the tail light at her parents home, it was not 'destroyed'.

So there is hope ;)

That would be GREAT!! This is the first I’ve heard of this officer and what he saw

Man, these people having to recant things to the FBI. That’s wild. I’m really hoping this opens the door to the full story of the FBI and ARCCA.

I hate that my handle is just wanna help. I joined during a local missing girl case (knew some of the people related to people in the case and lived in the town) so at the time/ in that case, i was helpful;) other cases, not so much 😏

So help me out here. I didn’t watch trial 1. Why can’t they say FBI? I find it ridiculous they have to say “other law enforcement agency” and i find it hilarious that Ms. Devers is the one who let it slip by saying FBI.

What makes the FBI get involved in some cases and not others. If i was a juror I’d be like wait what- are we going to get to hear from the FBI? I’m so confused by this.

Is the FBI investigating the misconduct of local LE and letting them hang themselves further during the second trial? I don’t understand what they are doing.

Picture getting off the jury and finding out all the extra?
I think it would kind of make me mad.
I personally think the scope of the truths in this case has been limited and ,the kick is the people who are supposed to uphold justice have completely failed Canton.

"The federal probe into Karen Read’s murder case has been closed, prosecutors confirmed Tuesday."

“There is no longer any federal investigation into the investigation of John O’Keefe’s death or any related matters,” Special Prosecutor Hank Brennan said, according to a report by CBS News. “It is closed. It is over.”

"Last week, sources told NBC10 Boston that the federal case was over and no charges were mounted against law enforcement."

Interesting, IMO, that the investigation was closed not long after the report from Aperture had been submitted, with new data from the Lexus.

“There is no longer any federal investigation into the investigation of John O’Keefe’s death or any related matters,” he said, noting that he had permission from the US Attorney's office to reveal the news. “It is closed. It is over.”

“The Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office was contacted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Let me make crystal clear, they made clear that I could inform the court there is no longer any federal investigation into the investigation of John O’Keefe’s death or any related matters,” Brennan said. “It is closed, it is over.”

I ,Just today saw him mislead an entire courtroom in this exact fashion.
I need a more trustworthy person to present facts to me than Hank.

Judge Cannone:
"I see now how the federal investigation began and when it began"

Adam Lally:
"what is also clear from the federal grand jury is that this was an investigation which was initiated by the defendant and Mr Yannetti. So to claim that he was in the dark, or didn't know about this federal investigation, every bit of discovery that the federal government has from the state case was provided by Mr Yannetti. Nothing was asked for from the commonwealth, nothing was asked for from the district attorney's office, the state police, so again, what I was intimating before in reference to the motion to dismiss, I have no idea what they have seen or what they haven't seen, how much of the file, how much of the discovery or anything else, it's all sort of been provided and colored by Mr Yannetti. And this goes back to November of 2022, so to then claim that you were sandbagged or didn't know about an investigation that you initiated over a year before, until late in December of 2023, I think disingenuous, I think disingenuous would be about the nicest term that I can come up with for that."

I do not think the investigation is over.
Legally , they have been granted the permissions to lie to the public .
Early 90's ish.
Law enforcement has no obligation out side of hand on bible in court, to tell us the truth.
