Regarding Barros’s testimony. I do agree he got scrambled by Brennan. But the take away I got was “ I saw what I saw, and that wasn’t it”. That gives huge credance to the idea of evidence planting. IMO, that was devastating to the CW’s case.

And this is coming from someone who thinks KR likely hit John. I could never convict with the evidence that has been presented.

Reminds me of the old quote: It is better 100 guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer…

I’ve got some minor visual impairment and have had a lot of trouble making sense of all the taillight pictures and video.
My question is this - I heard Brennan ask Barros if what he saw in Dighton was consistent with a photo showed by Brennan in court today . Barros answered “consistent”.

What did that photo show - a slightly damaged taillight or a shattered taillight? I’m not talking about Brennan’s very last question since it wasn’t clear as to which photo he was referring to.

hmm I'm not sure what you are talking about? was it near the beginning of his cross? I don't know if we were shown those pictures on the feed, they were just shown to Barros

I am rewatching now and just came to the end of his cross...

this picture is shown at the end, so it may be one of the pictures Brennan showed him earlier in cross?

The problem for me here is .. there IS snow here. The video/stills of it going on the tow truck.. there is NOT caked on snow on it.

That reporter on CourtTV who is at the trial said that some of those Waterfall friends were at the courthouse today…..so maybe we’ll start seeing them tomorrow?

Thank you to the person who posted this article about Dr Marie Russell. She was only 45 years old when this article was written, and now she's 70. She was considered a legend even 25 years ago!
It was interesting to read about her deciphering tattoos and codes/imagery on people's bodies which indicated secret messages. What a fascinating life of service she has lived!

from testimony today... this is what Barro's said was there and missing when he saw it that day.

The green was missing, the red was there still. Please don't make fun of my shapes, I would fail art class if I was forced to take it lol

the video should be cued up to the right time for that testimony, but it is hard to see the pointer he used.

He must have had a false memory because the part you circled in red is clearly missing from the dash cam still photo in the early am. Attached a photo if no X access.

Start at 8:25 She is pi$$Ed the Judge is making her answer. Her whole testimony is antagonistic but at 8:25 it really get good.

I thought she was going to have a hissy fit a few times.

Can the Karen is guilty folk kindly actually answer some fact questions?

1) Lack of bruises from impact? Now the black eyes are from a head wound from falling down, the only other bruises are on back of knuckles, car hits body with any force it leaves significant bruising.

2) Blood stains on front of shirts? This can only happen from being vertical for a considerable period after head bleeding

3) How does a piece of glass, yet alone a hair survive 60 miles during a blizzard on car?

4) How does a taillight get broken when there is no commensurate body bruising? Exactly which part of the body broke the taillight, if you say the arm, it is a hinged body part, it moves. If you say the arm is back against the body then body will bruise.

5) If the arm is bent at around 90 degrees, so that the whole arm impacts the taillight, the cuts on the upper arm could match, but the cuts on the lower arm will be at a different angle but they are not?

my take on the testimony...

Brennan did a good job of tripping him up about past testimony ... BUT... even on redirect... you don't remember what day of the week your birthday was? does that mean you have a bad memory? Barros: YES bahahaha (He will rewatch that and realize it was a dumb answer lol)

I think in the end, all I remember from that testimony is ... it was not completely 'smashed'. Brennan asking him about reports or pictures just annoyed me because the LE agency/agencies that were responsible for this whole investigation didn't seem to follow any SOP.

If anyone can give me a reason for WHY he would say it wasn't completely broken if in fact it was, knowing that he is implicating fellow LE officers, I will reconsider, but for now... I believe him.

For anyone interested... this is his testimony from the first trial... it's cued up to the start time and is not very long. I suspect the defense did not cross him and ask him more questions because they didn't know the answers. They talked to him this time around and knew the answer ;)

I LOVED the article! and your welcome ;) I came across it last night and I only read it because I thought it was interesting that she also raised her niece and nephew.

Very unique skill set in an ER IMO the care with evidence, the understanding of what may be important to LE, is awesome. It also shows how she seemed to zone in on unique things, like the tattoo's... dog bites... etc.

So, wonder what will become of the story now of all those red plastic tail light pieces, over 40 I believe, that proctor and berk found eventually in the snow 'where KR 'hit him'? Barros showed us they were intact except for the small piece that was out. What could they all be thinking nowwwwwww? IMO
Keek that is what I was wondering too. So if a state police officer is found guilty of tampering with evidence it's a federal crime and punishable with prison time. It seems like Barros proved that did happen. So will the Feds go after Proctor? Will he make a deal with them to throw some more people under the bus? I can't stop wondering.

I ***THINK**** she hit. Not 100% convinced.

I don’t have answers for your questions. I don’t think we will ever know what happened.

Reasons I think she hit him:
Her first thought in the morning was he got hit by a snowplow. She didn’t consider he was f-ing someone else, even though that is what she accused him of doing in her angry voicemails. When she went searching for him alone, she didn’t bang on the Albert’s door.

Her vehicle data shows that reversal maneuver at ~24mph. That’s FAST. Why did she do that? I think because John threw a cocktail glass to her bumper. It’s possible that is how her taillight broke.

I think her fast reversal maneuver caused him to slip and hit his head. The vehicle may or may not have made contact with John. Doesn’t really matter since she would be responsible for him slipping.

His phone stopped moving almost immediately after that reversal maneuver.

I don’t have answers answer for the scratches on his arm in my scenario.

My other theory is Chloe charged John, attacked him, and caused the slip and fall. But I have a hard time reconciling all the other stuff such as the reversal maneuver, broken taillight, etc.

I don’t think he got beat to death in the house. Too many people were there that night. I just can’t imagine all of them being “cool” with a murder.

I do believe Proctor planted evidence to ensure a conviction.

All MOO

I have not seen a THING about this. . I bet others will be all over this part. I mean to me, it shows , combined with proctor and berko in the sallyport, then next thing the tail light is missing and smashed pieces are found later at Alberts house. Something must come out of this with the defense soon I would think. Jury sounded like they focused big on this testimony about that per a court reporter blogger. IMO

I just love her. I could tell that she was a good person just from listening to her for a few minutes. Being a police officer is hard work and being an ER doctor perhaps harder. It is clear to see that she is compassionate about taking care of and helping others. I call her a hero. Imo

Yes, that’s the picture Brennan showed and Barros commented that it was not taken at Bill Reid’s house. I don’t understand what the picture was supposed to show or when it was taken - before or after it was towed.

I think the snow is confusing on the pics. If you click the link, it takes you to X. If you then click the photo, it will enlarge to show both Karen and John’s vehicle. Look at the right rear taillight on John’s vehicle. You also get a large white area on the taillight.

It looks pretty obvious to me. Not sure how people are missing it. JMO

That photo was zoomed in from a dash cam from a police cruiser that went and did a wellness check at John's house, for the kids. It was taken around 8am that morning, before she went to Dighton and it was not in Bill Read's driveway, it was in John's.

That picture, is supposed to show the missing tail light. But of course, not everyone sees things the same way IMO

I would also note that the still pic of it being loaded on to the tow truck, in Dighton from Bill Reads driveway, does NOT show snow caked on it and I feel like I can clearly see the tail light in it. Is that up for debate too? Yep lol

I hope that helps :)

If only some LE officers took actual photos of it before it was even in their custody. Crazy to me!

Commonwealth's Motion to Preclude New Opinion Testimony by Defense Expert Derek Ellington

New motion filed.. I see it posted on X, but I am not sure who is who on there and hate to be the reason Tricia needs therapy ;)

Looks like a defense witness submitted a new report on June 1st, something to do with the GPS of Karen and John's phones while in custody of LE.

Also filed today was ... Opposition to Defendant’s Motion for Discovery from Aperture

Welcher is doing additional testing now and the defense wants it and the CW assumes it is so ARCCA can respond to it. CW says that ARCCA hasn't even submitted their presentation yet.

oh my, the game playing in this trial is crazy lol

If I can find a reporter that posted this, I will post ASAP.

Hope this doesn’t cost me another $350k.
