Will be interested to see how the Judge acts during charge conference this morning.

Yes. There are rules which apply to the admissibility of evidence in every criminal case.

I was simply pointing out that 3rd party culprits do not create reasonable doubt in trial 2.

What not permitted became a growing list including not being able to an expert witness not being able to refer to the wounds as dog bites. She did conceed to animal bites being stated.
Are there any dogs being protected with this decision?

The Sallyport cannot answer how Karen broke her tail light as captured on video in the 8am hour.

It's possible the missing sallyport video could answer the question of how the taillight ended up in so many pieces. JMOO

To see one person with a PhD discredit another person with a PhD is not something we will see often. After all, this is the highest educational discipline one can achieve. Some of us recognized how Welcher was trying to con us with his blue paint reenactment. It was evident that Dr Rentschler was disgusted in the "science" that Welcher portrayed in his testimony. Professionals who've studied and practised their discipline hate it when other "professionals" claim to follow scientific protocols yet don't actually. It gives the field a bad name when certain characters portray their work as science that is no more than quackery.

I predict not guilty on Monday. I think this jury will want to talk for a day.

Awkward if they ever run into each other at a future conference. lol

Will they have to sit over the weekend once it gets sent to the jury?

It's possible ARCCA already knew about Aperture's quack science already! The difference between the two org's professionalism, knowledge and presentation really stood out!

The defense should get an answer on the "Missing Witness" motion today too, I would think?

RE: Proctor, BH and BA

I can see Proctor.

Not sure about BH and BA?
What happens with a Missing Witness motion if it's granted?

RSBM

The defence did not discharge it's evidential burden to even raise the alternate suspects let alone that they establish a reasonable doubt. The CW does not have to disprove every speculative theory the defence can come up with.

Was it because the judge would NOT allow it?? Not even a one breath....

Do you mean could they meet on Sat and Sun? Idk. I believe I’ve followed one sequestered jury that met over the weekend, but the courthouse is closed so there’s not usually staff for that.

Wondering if fellow sleuths have an opinion on this. I have been thinking ....it is clear this jury is ready to be done (per reports from courtroom and from judge) and they are aware this is the second trial . I wonder if there is more pressure to render a verdict and that they would be really hesitant to be hung again? It sounds like the demographics of this jury is much different than last time. I can't even imagine a third trial.

Most commentators agree that with the limits on closing they SHOULD get the case before lunch today. They would not deliberate over the weekend.

The video was so poor, we may not have been able to see the tail light.. BUT.. I am sure we would have been able to see if someone was breaking it!

The video cut from 5:08-5:50pm

In case anyone needs a reminder.. the video or I guess the video of the missing video was shown to YB.

That's obviously because SOMEONE edited that video and cut parts out. I would like to know who knew how to edit that security video. No cloud to protect the security of the sally port. Pretty corrupt. Why bother having security at Canton station if videos can be destroyed??

What else has been deleted in the past?

The judge gave the jury the day off today and hoped the jury would get the case on Friday.
