They sure do go home earlier than most jurors.

From what I saw, the deliberation clock was running right up until the jurors got to the courtroom. Did anyone else see different?
Which means it was Judge Canonne's decision.
IMO.
Of course it was. She rules that courtroom with an iron gavel.

What is the reason for going home so early today? Siesta time? Please don't let there be another mistrial.

If it was her decision I have to wonder what the jury thinks of her.

Her Honor told the jurors that they've been working hard today (true), and that it's a beautiful day, go enjoy it.
Something to that effect.
I'd like to know what the jurors think. Do they want to stay later? Do they know that they can request to?
IMO.

Can't speak for all of them, but at least some of them should share my opinion of her.

Sounds like she wanted them gone. IMO

To coin one of Brennan's favourite words, I think a mistrial has been the most "inevitable" outcome all along.

she was ready to stay until 5pm on day one. She has decided how long they can deliberate. Most of the time the judge leaves it up to the jury until at least 5pm and then might make arrangements for later time if they are close.
