She’s sending the jurors home.
During closing arguments.Vinnie P saying the jury was not allowed to take notes???
That's what I get for walking in on the middle of the conversationDuring closing arguments.
IMO.
Keep your head up, lady!!When asked how she feels about the jury, Read said, “I feel well, I feel strong, and the jury will do the right thing. We choose them.”

Karen Read speaks out after judge in her retrial denies request to amend verdict slip
Read's lawyers argued that the slip's current language has the "potential to confuse" the jury.www.yahoo.com
Of course it was. She rules that courtroom with an iron gavel. From what I saw, the deliberation clock was running right up until the jurors got to the courtroom. Did anyone else see different?
Which means it was Judge Canonne's decision.
IMO.
If it was her decision I have to wonder what the jury thinks of her. What is the reason for going home so early today? Siesta time? Please don't let there be another mistrial.![]()

Can't speak for all of them, but at least some of them should share my opinion of her.If it was her decision I have to wonder what the jury thinks of her.
Sounds like she wanted them gone. IMOHer Honor told the jurors that they've been working hard today (true), and that it's a beautiful day, go enjoy it.
Something to that effect.
I'd like to know what the jurors think. Do they want to stay later? Do they know that they can request to?
IMO.

she was ready to stay until 5pm on day one. She has decided how long they can deliberate. Most of the time the judge leaves it up to the jury until at least 5pm and then might make arrangements for later time if they are close. Her Honor told the jurors that they've been working hard today (true), and that it's a beautiful day, go enjoy it.

yes she was pretty clear that it was a beautiful day and my guess she wanted to enjoy it.Sounds like she wanted them gone. IMO
