she was ready to stay until 5pm on day one. She has decided how long they can deliberate. Most of the time the judge leaves it up to the jury until at least 5pm and then might make arrangements for later time if they are close.

They sure do go home earlier than most jurors.

I think its a travel /traffic issue.
Its a large county with some of the worst traffic you will find - so imo the plan is to get a jump on the 5pm traffic or wait until or after 7

I'd love to blame the judge or maybe even Hank - or the corruption.... or a million things but it's just a CW issue - plain ole nasty bumpertobumpertobumper I suspect.
I also think they were told when they signed up what the time expectations would be. They all meet up somewhere at a parking lot and get bussed over.
It's a boring reason but I bet its likely esp with a lot of younger jurors - childcare issues etc. / and if one has obligations the all have to go

As far as I recall Judge Cannone has had a shut off time for court proceedings every day before 4 p.m.

However, in her instructions she said she would let the jury deliberate until they inform her that they were done for the day. She would send in a message inquiring, if memory serves me well

Phone did 'beep' when it was said the jury went back into the court room, so I ran in the house and saw nothing, but they did go in and sent home.. etc.. SO, it works. I typed in law nerd into the spot on phone where it has the app store icon. I am not good like that so it is a miracle. but.. otherwise, KEEP CHECKING.
