These all seem good for KR! Interesting question about the timeframe for the OUI. They make a good point by questioning that and they are clearly doing their due diligence! IMO

Exactly! Putting NG and G boxes by each separate charge was obviously less confusing but Judge/CW wants it confusing
It is infuriating. The jurors aren't lawyers. They should have made it very plain and simple for the jury to follow.

It’s not clear, Cannone. Stop defending how it’s clear when read hand in hand with the instructions.

Since I mistakenly didn’t realize she was charged with a simple OUI, I can’t even remember what was testified to in this trial about her actual drinking. Was it just this “reverse BAC” and the vid clips?
Yep, that and the blood draw from the hospital. But blood draw in the AM doesn’t prove drunk driving in the PM (or I guess early morning, 12:45). She could have gotten home and had several drinks before going to sleep. Definitely not EBARD to convict IMO

I’m glad they are questioning the verdict form just so the judge realizes it is confusing! I think we will have a verdict today! IMO

Will be interesting to see what Bev does on that third question.....if she is not clear then I think it will just be NG with no lessers as it is clear they don't want to risk manslaughter with the OUI

the judge knows it is confusing that is why she insisted on using them

do any of KR's video clips have her talking about drinking? and how much she had to drink?

  • #692
Whether she's guilty or not, it's in absolute poor taste the way she is behaving in public.
Says who? Those that follow convention and have expectations for how others "should" behave?

  • #693
those were excellent questions so I think we have a smart jury.

Can anyone get a link to law and crime verdict watch at all? I'm having issues finding one, maybe my location, and would like to watch without the commentary on court tv. TIA!

I hope they are thinking if it’s based on 1230am OUI, it’s not guilty because they shouldn’t have been able to use some weird reverse blood alcohol to prove that. She very likely did drink after she got home. She was upset and stayed up much later making phone calls.

For OUI: videos of her stating she had several drinks, videos of the bar showing her with drinks.

Against OIU: backward BAC unreliable, waterfall witnesses stating she wasn’t impaired, car that followed her to 34 Fairview didn’t notice impaired driving, she could have gone home and drank more.

Melanie Little commented and I agree they can't prove she was drunk so that should not be an option either but defense wanted it to be safe. ML said it was Karen that wanted it on as she can't do this again.

Wow I’m not surprised at these questions. That verdict form was a huge issue. Sounds like only thing they are talking about is driving while intoxicated. Which imo shouldn’t have even been a charge by itself as an option. 🙄
I’m catching up. I can only find 3 charges. What is charge 4?
