Oh my. Is it just a coincidence that…

There’s not a single medical expert willing to testify that his injuries are consistent with being hit by a car?

There’s not a single expert willing to testify the damage to the vehicle is consistent with hitting JO?

There’s missing sally port video conveniently at the exact same time Dever told the FBI that officers were in there with the vehicle for a wildly long time?

There’s missing library footage? Missing ring footage? Missing former chief of police across the street footage?

There’s countless butt dials. And butt answers. By multiple people. All night long.

There’s multiple deleted searches and calls. That a ghost deleted I guess. Cause they all say they didn’t do it.

I could go on. And on. And on.

I can live with a coincidence or two. For either side. But this? No. It defies all logic IMO.
AND there’s 2 missing cell phones. One destroyed and thrown into a dumpster at a military base.

They cannot poll on the individual lessers within count 2 though, imo. Legally imo if they hang just because of the oui, after moving down the slip as instructed, the cw can retry the entire manslaughter charge again. There is no way out unless they can render a verdict of ng on each lesser as they move down the slip for count two. But there are no boxes to do that. Jmo
This is really disheartening if that's the way it works.

definitely not
As a resident I use the nickname "Masshole" as a term of endearment
So no in my world its definitely not for the Judge
I would just banish her from the state
I have a few states in mind that I would send her to but I don't want to offend anyone 😘
JMO

Ugh, she's going to send them home at 4pm.
This is excruciating.
IMO.

Jury, you have an hour!! Let's not drag this into another day.

She is not charged with simple OUI.
And that’s the problem. The defense asked for a separate charge JUST for OUI and biased bev and Brennan said no. They WANT the jury to be confused IMO.

The jury likely only wants to charge her with an OUI but they aren’t given that option. This was a problem for the jurors in trial 1. It’s outrageous that bev wouldn’t allow clearer language during jury charges when she had already not allowed a separate charge. This woman is really a piece of work!

It’s 4.55am here, after a full night of uni assessment work and verdict watching, I’m going to have to call it a night. I had hoped the verdict would be in by now, praying I wake up to a not guilty on all charges.

Q3: Judge Cannone has amended the verdict slip to clearly show that they CAN convict on a lesser included without convicting on the main charge. She is going to go over the slip with the jury.
Ok. I am glad for this. Because during jury charge she made it sound like they couldn’t.

I feel like we won't get a verdict today...anyone else? JMO.

I think with their question re:hanging on one count triggering retrial on all counts being unresolved, it might be tomorrow now.

I feel very badly for JOK’s family. They will never know the truth of what happened that night. Travesty on both sides, IMO.
I suspect JOK's family would respond to this comment in quite a different way than you imagine.

I was hopeful earlier but as it gets closer to 4, I'm thinking not today.

Did someone say there's a public holiday this week too, possibly on Thursday? So no court?

I've just turned my ceiling fan off. Felt like I was in the middle of "dueling ceiling fans".

Thursday is Juneteenth, a federal holiday. I think they will be brought back on Friday if they don’t have a verdict by Wednesday evening. No way they can go four days (including sat/sunday) without deliberating after deliberating for three days… it’s a mess.

I’m in Florida, and I’m so confused by the 4pm cutoff. We will make you very comfortable, we have A/C here (not too noisy), and ham sandwiches, and you will be deliberating until midnight if need be. But each state does things differently
