Well, I'm not sure how else they could ask some questions then. I think it's asking for clarification, and it isn't hypothetical really. If they want to find her guilty on one of those included there, they are asking if it makes her guilty of all of them. I guess they could have said is count 2 all or nothing. If it's confusing, that is the judge's fault, and she should be able to clear it up weather it's a hypothetical question or not. That is a big charge included there with the OUI one and if they don't think she's guilty of count 2, but do think she was guilty of OUI, then I can see needing clarification because I'd vote NG on all before, I'd vote guilt on OUI if it meant she was guilty of count 2. Why is the form so confusing would be my question.
Right, so they would have to respond to her and say ‘We are locked on a count. If we hang, will we hang on all counts?’

But they haven’t yet… don’t know what it means

I read something about how there are really strict rules about court staff working (not sure if it's a union thing or something) hence the hard 4pm cutoff.
I think they need to make an exception for sequestered juror situations. I mean union or no union, can't people work overtime on a rare occasion? These jurors have given up their lives for all these weeks and now they can't even go home at night for this trial, but some court staff can't stay late or come in if there is a verdict after 4pm? Make it make sense.

I think they can make some exceptions - the first day the jury started deliberating (late on Friday) there was a possibility of them staying late. I'm not sure if they are restricted to number of days or only on certain days or something?

I thought Vinnie said earlier that no court Thursday or Friday. Hopefully, it’s a verdict.

I'd heard none on Thursday but they would be back on Friday.

If they really wanted to know the truth -instead of just wanting to go after Karen in civil court for financial benefit - they would lobby the Canton police/MSP/DA to reopen the case

JMO
They may have to work through the MSP but they may very well do better in terms of both proficiency and result if they can somehow incorporate the USDOJ in the renewed investigation. The DA and Canton police have pretty much established their ineptitude and duplicity; and there is obviously need for a culture shock in both offices. We have also witnessed the biased mentality and obstructive attitude of the MSP in the form of Bukenik who apparently cannot make a straightforward response to even the simplest of questions.

Good grief, let there be a NG verdict today! I'd like to breathe again.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was beginning to think the judge was working part time.

See above - on this page - I guess it's in the wording. The use of "IF" makes it hypthetical. A nono iin Mass.
She might have asked them to reword - saying per law I cannot answer hypothetical questions but if you reword it perhaps I can
But no not this Judge
They could say -
Does each charge stand on its own?

From what I see most think the verdict is still coming today but who knows - JMO

I hope the jury knows that if they covict her on the OUI it could amount to jail time assigned at the judge's discretion. That scare me. Karen has suffered enough and has paid her dues on that charge where others at that party, will never pay. Imo
What about the other partyers that night ? All driving drunk - yet KR gets charged years later without a breathalyzer and has to pay attorneys to defend against something she didn’t do?

Well at least the jury are asking the question this time. Makes me wonder if in the event of another deadlock their note will state that they have reached a verdict on some charges, but not on other(s)?
