To steal what Hank said in his closing.. what’s hidden in the dark will ALWAYS come to light.

I am so glad the jury was able to see with clear eyes.

Can they appeal the verdict?

So happy!!!!

I agree - good lawyers who exposed SO much misconduct, corruption, and plain old sloppy behavior in this case.

Karen read is factually innocent ❤️

It’s sad to think of how many poor people have been wrongly convicted because they don’t have the means for a great legal team

Good verdict, but is ole Jim a bit, well, you know…

Hmmm. She’s lucky she had good lawyers!
Yes, she was. How many times are innocent people convicted by this type of lying and prosecutorial misconduct because they don’t have the resources to get good lawyers. They get away with this because of Qualified Immunity. If these clowns could be held responsible for their actions, it would cut down on this garbage. Her only recourse is to sue the city or the county because the lawyers (judge included) are protected.

So the CW is apparently going to appeal the verdict.... /s
I hope this isn't the case. Maybe they should spend more time looking into the mistakes, negligence, abuse of power, mishandling of evidence etc involved in this case...instead of trying to string up a woman who, from all the evidence they have, has done nothing wrong. JMO.

Are you sure?

Yes, I would bet my life on it. Why would the judge tell the attorney's they need a date for the sentencing and ask if they could do it next week?

I was joking - /s means sarcasm

The judge asked for a date next week, the defense asked for it to be done today. They sidebarred and it was agreed to sentence today to a year of probation and the 24D.

They can't, it would be double jeopardy.
She's safe :)

Thank god, sorry it's just sort of expected by the CW at this point so I fully believed it instantly eek.
