It's that looking in the face of evil you read about in horror stories. IMO
I think the Alberts and McCabes would do very well to just shut the hell up, personally. They're not winning this one in the court of public opinion, and they do have something to lose here!

Not only was Karen Read acquitted of John's murder, she was acquitted of any offense that could have related to her hitting him with her car. Unanimously. In a jurisdiction where double jeapordy applies. There was no collision. So that leaves the people in the house as the only people who ever could be held criminally responsible.

Fortunately for them, the evidence against them at present is circcumstantial at best and no LE agency appears to be remotely interested in prosecuting a case against them. But that could change!

And look what happened when Karen did those interviews, they ended up being used as evidence against her in her retrial! All the McCabe's and Alberts are achieving in front of those cameras is self-incrimination!

I thought he was severely injured at the time and died in the ambulance or at the hospital?

He was dead when they found him. In MA, if someone is found in the cold efforts must be made to warm the body before death can be declared.

The big question I have for the Pro Karen camp is…if she went back looking for John, and she thought he went inside the house, why didnt she just go to the front door -bang on it and ask the Alberts? Or…after she “immediately” found the mound of snow that she knew was him….why didnt she THEn start slamming on the door? Or what didn’t Jen call the Alberts?
My guess is she didn't even know the address and probably didn't know how to get back .. the reason she called Jen in the morning.

You mean you expected her to go bang on the door instead of helping John? I don't see the logic in that, sorry. Now Jen... she could have done that once EMTs were there, but she was too busy talking to everyone.

All IMO

I for one would very much like to see Dr. Rentschler's slides that were first the subject of redaction then limined in their entirety by the good judge BC. While he made an effective witness, I believe that having some portion of that PPT in evidence such that the jury could peruse/review the slides would have made the jury's task simpler and reduced the period of deliberation.
I also believe that much of the hearsay based redactions were result of Dr. R. relying on, or quoting from Dr. W. of ARRCA. Seems to me the same thing applied to the reports of Burgess and Welcher; Welcher quoted Burgess's findings and even incorporated slides from Burgess in his own presentation. Of course they were hired guns of the CW....No objection sustained.

Alessi and Yannetti are doing a live interview tonight (7:30 p.m. eastern), not sure if the person interviewing them is an approved source but easy to find on YouTube, I'd imagine.

Hi Knitpicker! I see you on the Dan Markel posts a lot. Can’t wait for DA trial, can you?

So you know about my view of this case, I’m not pro Karen, I’m pro evidence. The evidence did not support her guilt. In fact, the evidence supported her innocence. If you haven’t already, you ought to really dig into the wild impossible evidence, and the strangely missing evidence of this case. Since you’re familiar with the Markel case, it’s like someone deleted the evidence of the perps and inserted evidence to frame Wendi’s boyfriend, or something like that. It’s THAT outrageous.

I’m not a cop at all and I am pretty sure I would throw on pants and go outside if my good friend was found dead on my lawn after being invited to my house. How can he think this sounds reasonable to normal people? He is stone cold.
Not a cop here either but I would put on my big boy pants and go outside no matter who was out there lying in my yard, or any of my neighbors yards for that matter.

And Proctor said last night.. he wouldn't change a thing in the investigation.
I’d pay $4 a month as a Guardian if we could have the eye roll emoji 😄

I think there will be lots of MSM that will be enlisting their continued commentary; and I believe that of Officer Higgins as well who was conspicuous by his absence in the ABC interview attached upthread.
Higgins was undercover with ATF IIRC. I do not know what form his reassignment took but earlier it was clear that BA was trying to create at least some perception of separation between himself and BH.
Be sure to tune in for next week's episode.....

What an insane thing for BA to say.
I didn't go out to help a man, a COP, dying on MY lawn because I work for Boston not Canton. WHERE is the humanity?? It is absent in all these witnesses.
maybe a quote they can use in the civil case?

what makes this acquittal so sweet is that the jury spoke and despite a judge that did all possible to insure a CW win it did not happen. The defense won IN SPITE of her rulings and the way she conducted the courtroom.
It’s pretty beautiful that her bias overkill rulings lost 👏

When feeling the pressure of the crowds of fanatics on the scene, day after day, one even glaring at them in the courtroom and being barred, hard to say what people would feel about that until you're in that situation. The jurors are not bots in a bubble and they have lives to protect from the craziness. The whole Karen worship at the courthouse was an travesty to justice. The defense's strategy of making her a media star didn't serve justice, it put unfortunate celebrity on her jurors. ALL just my opinion.
Who is..."one glaring at them in the courtroom..."?. Turtle Boy?

First question is do you think the jurors knew who TB was? You seem to imply that they did, since feeling intimidated to vote a certain way by the presence of a stranger in the court one day doesn't make sense otherwise Imo. So, do you have a link to show that?

Alternatively, do you have a link to show that jurors who had heard of TB were admitted onto the jury, or that certain jurors ( some or all ?,) lied in voir dire about not having heard of TB? Or a link that the court didn't screen jurors for knowledge of TB at all?

I also think you need to provide a link to the trial day and a timestamp that shows this jury glaring happened, since you assert it took place. And if you are suggesting TB was barred for glaring at the jury, let's see a link for that too please.

Would anyone here know why JOK's headstone says, "It's only a movie".
Tara Kerrigan actually answered this in her interview with Boston Magazine.

She said John would say ‘it’s only a movie’ after the death of his sibling. So I think John’s family was referencing that feeling of unreality upon losing him.

Love Nicole Albert's comment about having no idea anything was happening until Jen "burst" into their bedroom. Liar. Jen called at 5:07 am, almost certainly to warn them that she couldn't persuade Karen to go to Tom Beatty's house and they'd be coming by. The phone record is clear - they spoke.

And Brian Albert's total non-answer about why he didn't come outside. Despite the fact that so much was going on right under the window of the bedroom he claimed he was in.

I'm hoping the FBI is still lurking in the shadows. And that these awful people don't get away with this crime. The Birchmore case gives me hope that they will not.

Yup. You know that old saying, "Loose lips sink ships"

Though, I cannot stand to watch them and fear my TV would be destroyed after I hurled my shoe at BA's face on the screen.
