I didn’t pay a lot of attention but considering Kearney and Bederow have been acting like it was a certainty that it would get thrown out, I would say bad. They are saying otherwise but it’s got to be disappointing. Kearney has also mentioned that in spite of the fact his attorneys have been paid and he’s buying a house, he plans to have a couple of fundraisers for his legal bills.

I started watching Accused but it's really bad acting and once you've seen the trials yourself, the dramatic effects of the movie are so ridiculous.

Fundraiser to buy a house???

He posted a fundraiser on Twitter yesterday and it doesn’t look legal. He keeps doing fundraisers and his fans keep donating so good for him, I guess. I just can’t believe people keep giving him money. He is on you tube almost daily and must have a ton of money from that and now to hear he’s buying a house is so suspicious.

Not only that, if you click on freekarenread.org it takes you to his give send go page. I don’t think that’s illegal but it’s crappy.

Also, Judge Belazos issued an 'Interim Order' today on the Motion to Disqualify, and the jest of the Order is as follows:

• Judge Belazos is deferring his ruling on the motion to recuse until March 13.
• Robert Cosgrove has until March 6 to put in writing whether or not he will have a special prosecutor to cross-examine Lindsey Gaetani (if she's a witness at AK's trial).
• If Cosgrove will provide a special prosecutor for Gaetani, the party has until Nov 23 to file their appearance with the court.
• And probably most important -- a footnote to the Order states: The court reserves on any ruling as to the scope and/or admissibility of any potential testimony by Ms. Gaetani.

Karen Read continues to fight the O'Keefe family in court, and new filings indicate that a recent mistake could be a new flashpoint in the long saga.

Peter and other lawyers have commented many times about how difficult this case is going to be for the O’Keefes and their lawyers. Most lawyers only take these types of cases on when they are very sure of a win because they get paid if the client wins. O’Keefe’s lawyer took this case on before Karen was acquitted and I wonder if at some point he’s going to talk to them about giving up.

I really wonder why Bibi, the California lawyer, jumped on board a couple of months ago. It seems like she’s jumped on a sinking ship.

I feel like I have been going through a master class of "Deny Deceive Deflect" the last ten years ish so I am chuckling a bit to think it's just Canton...altho living in Massachusetts I used to call it the Canton curse. Maybe the people in Canton are just less sophisticated at the sleight of hand...or it's been a way of life in their area for so long they forget to really hide it. Everybody scammimg everybody else.

Corporations sometimes call it "strategy".

Call me disillusioned, but if we dig below the surface in a lot of these cases - there is an underbelly of the 3 D's.

Look at the Epstein case which has its own thread here at WS - that was an open secret for years and years. Cover up cover upon cover up of the most heinous stuff with huge International ramifications.

Everytime I come to these pages - I am asking myself - who are these people?

Everytime I come to these pages I wonder why do I still care?? I'm beginning to wonder that very thing for several cases that I have followed for years....the Rhodens, the Adelsons and the Greenburgs for example. I guess because it is just WRONG but I need to accept that facts don't always matter.
