Imo, as far as this trial goes: Turtle Boy = Noise

What Turtle Boy does not equal.
* video of intact tail light at 5am
*video of tail light at 5am without 45 shards missing because it appears to be very much intact. Moo

Prosecution better get cracking preparing to counter that when Defense is up. Better find a way to discredit that vid or, as was suggested upthread somewhere, make a case for KR changing the headlight between 1 and 5am (sorry but really??). jmo

Police took her phone and did an extraction, so shouldn't be hard if she made 'some calls'. Though who knows, maybe she happenned to keep a spare on hand at all times or in JO's house or something, and just got out the old tools after a night out of pissing it up and just changed out THE ENTIRE TAIL LIGHT herself. Easy peasy (not). Moo

But regardless, it isn't Defense's job to look into that imo remote to non-existent possibility, so the Prosecutor's investigators better get a move on if they're going to try countering that 5am evidence of NOT BROKEN INTO 45 SHARDS TAIL LIGHT in such a manner. Jmo

EDITED headlight to tail light whoops

@SueNBCBoston

#KarenRead, the defense team, and her supporters are I.
The courtroom.
Alan Jackson is not here today, and the court was notified of his planned absence on Friday.
It’s expected David Yannetti will finish the cross of ATF agent Brian Higgins.

@FallRiverReport

Good morning. We are here at Norfolk Superior Court for the #KarenRead trial. Today is going to be a very emotional day. I have been told that after Higgins has completed his time on the stand, John O'Keefe's niece and nephew will be called to testify.

The rules surrounding minors testifying are obviously different. From my understanding, there will be no video and no audio of their testimony on the stand today.

It seems as if the only way for the public to know what is asked and answered during their testimony today will be what is reported by those of us in the press box.

We are allowed to share the dialog with you but can not give their names, nor any other personal information.

While we wait for everyone, Karen and her team are here today, minus Jackson, who we knew would not be here today. Karen's family is also here and seated.

We expect John O'Keefe's niece and possibly his nephew (children he adopted) to testify today. We will not have video/audio per judge's order when/if they take the stand.

Honestly? I am not the proponent of “thin blue line”, just trying to be practical (the famous anarchist armies ended up with own police, so much for police-less society).

Honestly, at this point in time, I can’t even define how wealthy Canton is. Per data, wealthier than my area, but it is hard to process or believe knowing that the biggest employer of Canton is Dunkin’ Donuts. My feeling is, just a blue collar one, no?

So, no sure how “influential family” fares in an 28K blue collar town? But, surely the cops had the chance to check KR’s income or connections when she moved in with JO?

A few demographics. Canton's not a blue collar town. White collar workers outnumber blue by more than 10 to 1. Per capita income is quite high relative to the state as a whole.

And that largest employer is not a donut shop; it's the international headquarters for Dunkin Donuts.

Yannetti up with the cross.
Asking if the complete text exchange was provided.
Says complete exchange with Read was, OKeefe’s were not.
Yannettii says I’m about to ask you a series of questions to be answered yes or no.

Defense attorney Alan Jackson is not in court today (pre-planned, all parties were aware). This brings up an interesting situation that I'm not sure I've ever seen in my career where a different attorney takes over mid-questioning. That's a very interesting dynamic to now face a completely different style.

Higgins says he didn't transfer anything off his phone including photos and videos when he threw his phone/SIM card away in a dumpster on a military base. Higgins says he was cutting through the base at the time
