Well, let’s say he slipped leaving the car. (Going w argument in the car ). She might have been pissed , idk.
Speculation, then she reverses as CW claims. He’s in a position where his torso is actually in the middle of the carriage. His reaction could be to cover his face etc. but he uses
his RUE and hit him in the back of the head early or later . Issue, is the lawn placement, can’t account for that without more info . As I said, still on the fence.

So what do you think caused his arm injuries? They've been called lacerations, scratches, and famously, "furrows". Aside from them, he has no significant injuries below his neck. Just bruised fists. Both of them.

They're not road rash. I know road rash and they ain't it. Literally no one in the "She did it!" camp has ever been able to come up with a plausible story to explain them, especially in conjunction with that small but deep back of the head wound that disabled him before hypothermia set in. But if you want to take a crack at it, there are many ears out here to listen.

And why do you think the adults in the house that night are lying so much and behaving in such peculiar manners? Phone and internet records have proved them to be terrible liars. You don't think they're hiding something? Would you behave like that in this situation? Assuming you had nothing to hid, of course.

Finally, anyone with kids knows that head injuries bleed like a mothah. Where did the blood go? The Canton PD barely had enough to scrape together to store in the Solo cups that ended up next to her car in the PD sallyport.

Yeah I am also. I’m definitely not on board with the dog bites. They are abrasions, not bites. That’s what I see…..
Could you post your source? What I have seen are deep lacerations that would requiere stitches.

Day 4: Jury tours crime scene, sees Read's SUV

May 3, 2024
Jurors were taken to visit the Canton neighborhood where John O’Keefe died on Jan. 29, 2022.
Route 128 was temporarily closed by Massachusetts State Police between Dedham and Westwood as the jury was brought to Canton for the tour. Jurors arrived to the Fairview Road neighborhood at approximately 11:35 a.m.
Read's Lexus 570 SUV, the one that allegedly hit O'Keefe, was also brought to the neighborhood for the jury to view on Friday. One tail light was missing and a small dent was visible on the rear hatch.
Reporters were kept about 300 feet away during the jury's visit and could not hear anything being said. They saw jurors taking turns looking inside the vehicle and at least one who crouched down to look underneath."

Both children described an incident in which O'Keefe asked Read to leave the house and she refused. "She said no. She was swearing. She got very loud," the niece said.

The night O’Keefe died, the niece was home alone and remembered being awakened by Read at 4:30 a.m. She said Read shook her, left and came back and told her to call O’Keefe.

"She was just pacing down the hallway, asking what could've happened," the niece testified. "She said, 'Maybe I did something.' Later, she said, ‘Maybe a snowplow hit him.’”

<modsnip> I am well aware of heads bleeding like crazy. Don’t we all put ice on a wound to stop bleeding and swelling ? He thankfully had that in his corner. I’ve stated a few times I’m not in on one theory. Trying to think things thru, it seems many here have made up their mind without all the evidence. Disappointing imo.
All I suggested was why not a tailpipe, it’s on the right side of her vehicle ? Or, the quwerky fire hydrant with its appendages sticking out ? I’m not suggesting KRis guilty, suggesting playing devils advocate that’s all.

How long to die in the cold? The text was at 2.27am. Read McCabes answer, technically she was not lying....
Did you delete that search because you knewthat you would be implicated in John O'Keefe's death if that search was found on your phone?" Jackson asked.

"I did not delete that search," McCabe said. " I never made that search at 2:23. I never would have let John O'Keefe out in the cold to die because he was a friend that I loved."

I vacillate with what I think about this case. the injuries have not been explained in a way I can understand. people do get hit and killed by side mirrors smashing them and this Lexus is 6 ft tall.
but this car has every warning system - unless they were disabled or ignored. looking forward to hearing the accident experts' testimony.

Running through possibilities. As any concerned partner would.

Look, there is no question this wasn't a happy relationship at this point but that is not evidence of murder. And frankly, I think it's unfathomable that people actually argue that it is. She's a smart person and probably would have found a far better way than to use a taillight on a public street in front of a very well occupied house with many comings and goings.

Karen was not a dependent woman who wanted marriage and kids. There has been testimony she wanted neither. All indications are she was concerned about the kids, but she was resentful about how O'Keefe used her to care for the kids when he wanted to go out drinking with the menfolk. Like that losah Higgins. But she didn't need his house and she didn't need his salary. And she had no reason to kill him. With a taillight. On a public street. In front of a very active home.

I wonder if a male defendant conferring with his female attorney would be accused of being “flirty.”

I dont think that a juror looking at the undercarraige of the car, is a good sign for KR defense.

Could have been lying so the tires did t run him over directly. Just saying, looking forward to the theory CW will present. Still on the fence.

So was he already laying down when the car hit him only injuring his head and right arm, or is he approximately 3 to 4 feet tall so the taillight got him in the back of the head causing him to fall forward but only in a way that the vehicle would then run over only his right arm?

No source, I said what I seen (when I look at the pictures). On the stand the medical doctor I believe called them abrasions also.

I don’t see that happening as he had a sweatshirt on. I don’t think we will ever really know. Heck I come in from mowing and mulching my yard with bruises and scratches and have no idea how I got them. Getting hit by a car or being in a fight….it would be hard either way to explain all injuries one could get.

KerR's testimony spoke volumes. Linked article worth the read. KerR is also the only witness... the defense did not cross -- thus far.

It interesting how someone is able to recognize a mound of snow as JOK from inside a vehicle. The body fully covered by 3-4 inches of snow, that was testimony.
During a blizzard?
KerR didn't determine its a body until she got up close. moo

As they approached 34 Fairview Road, “All of a sudden Karen said, ‘There he is! There he is! Let me the F out of this car.’ And she started kicking the door,” Roberts recalled.

She said she didn’t see anything at the time, but she unlocked the door and watched as Read ran over to “a mound of snow.”

“At some point, I realized it was the shape of a body,” she added.

Roberts teared up as Assistant District Attorney Adam Lally played police dashcam footage from the scene. Choking back a sob, she recalled the moment she realized there was a person buried in the snow. When she ran over and cleared snow from the man’s face, she said she recognized O’Keefe, her longtime friend.

“He had blood coming out of his nose and his mouth, and his right eye — it looked like a golf ball,” Roberts said, adding that O’Keefe was also bleeding from a cut on the back of his head.

This makes very little sense. Instead of carting an allegedly dead body away to hide it. The body is deposited on the front lawn?

Oh to see that sweatshirt. Answers a lot, but only a piece of it, don't know what part really, a square, was sent by Proctor I believe, to a lab, where 'it' came back with no dog dna, but pig DNA. That shirt was on the floor of the ambulance, hospital places like that it sounds.
