For years, military courts have been dealing with all sorts of post-trial issues because they don't have a SOP to record proceedings and transcripts from the court reporter take months, if not years, to get typed up and submitted to complete the trial record. Or the recordings get lost.
I wasn't suggesting that they should use a recording device instead of the court reporter.

Just that they should put in some speakers so the jury can hear the witnesses.

The next witness is a @MassStatePolice homicide detective, Trooper SGT YURIY BUKHENIK - he's a former US Marine who helped handle security for the Presidential helicopter around 2004. He became an Attleboro cop and eventually became an MSP trooper and homicide detective.

Bukhenik testifies he was debriefed by Sgt. Goode who had been at the crime scene. "We learned that Mr. O'Keefe's body had been transported to Good Samaritan Hospital." They proceeded to the McCabe residence before going to Fairview.

Sorry, I got off on a tangent. I was trying to show that courts are frequently behind the curve when it comes to tech in the courtroom.

Bukhenik says he drove his personal 4X4 truck through the snow to meet Proctor at the Canton PD at about 915am. They went inside and spoke with Sgt Sean Goode for about 25-30 minutes.

From the police department, Bukhenik and Proctor went to the McCabe residence. Spoke with Jen McCabe, Matt McCabe and Brian Albert. Says each interview was done separately and individually.

What do you guys think - is Bukhenik testifying in place of Proctor?

From McCabe residence, Bukhenik and Proctor went to Good Samaritan Hospital. They saw O'Keefe's body and gathered his clothing. Says clothing items were "in a pile stacked on top of each other."

Bukhenik describes the sealing of evidence, logging of evidence access, and evidence storage. Bukhenik says neither he nor Proctor had access to evidence storage room.
