What do you guys think about trooper B’s statement testifying that proctor stayed outside w the car while B entered the Read residence?
That was sus to me.
Yeah MP has some explaining to do, he should not have been on the case. However the Reads have cameras so anything shady there would have been picked up.

Now with that in mind

Watch the Nightline interview again
Will do this evening….So can’t wait to see Karen’s first few texts, you know the ones when he’s supposed to be in the house.

Yeah Jen was texting John. She also called and gave him directions I believe.
She didn’t want to go inside the house because HIGGINS was there - in my opinion

That was some shady crap on her part. I see her as a complete narcissist, it’s all about her.

I like when he asks her about how much she drank and he calls her out on the 4 drinks. Wellll…….lol

I’m claiming that it’s ridiculous to say you had a dog who pawed at you and didn’t leave any marks as evidence that another dog somewhere else in the world is incapable of doing that. JMO
I said a lot more than that in reference to the claim those injuries came from a dog at all.

Also if I recall correctly, Karen originally claimed she separated from O’Keefe at the waterfall -

She spent 20 minutes or so driving around looking for before calling the other two women

THAT was going to be her original story!

…and “on top of everything, “ hit something with my car but didn’t look at the damage”
Said Karen Read
I agree that was her original story.... until Jen told her that they saw her parked out the front of the house, then suddenly the story changed.

Inexplicable other than concluding Lally is shady and an idiot. JMO

What are the legal repercussions for him if any? Does defense make motion for sanctions against prosecution? Is this judge likely to issue any sanctions and/or reprimand prosecution in any way for creating this deception.JMO
All good questions. Plus many more questions I could be asking pertaining to how this entire case has been handled and if anyone will be held responsible.JMOO

there was texting back & forth with someone in the house prior to them arriving at the house- if I recall correctly …
Yet Karen claims she didn’t think they were invited or that she specifically was invited -
IIRC, the victim was texting with Jen M. who was providing driving instructions to the Albert home, and when JO failed to show up, she was texting him from inside the house.

I’ll never be able to catch up :(. Sorry if this was discussed already. Was Jennifer McCabe ever questioned on the stand about her approx 2:30am google search regarding “hos long to freeze to death” (something like that). Didn’t the defense press her on that? I think I read or heard somewhere that she said KR asked her to search that but that makes no sense at all based on the time. I have not seen anyone question her about that. Re-watching her testimony. Am I missing it? Can’t imagine why the defense wouldn’t ask her about that. They’ve been asking her about texts and phone calls so why not that one? MOO TIA

Indeed, the defense did press her on that issue. And, from what I understand more will be coming about that when the defense presents it's case. JMOO

Perhaps after he exited the SUV - he became nauseous and walked away from the house to throw up - out of view of the house & Karen -
Karen claims 10 minutes went by before she moved the SUV.
Maybe he urinated & kept throwing up. Maybe he was bent over puking when she hit him -

Perhaps he was able to briefly sit uo, vomit again before losing consciousness
Possibly. How would that explain the blood following a similar flow pattern though?

From the prosecution’s statements and the affidavit JOK suffered severe skull fractures and LOC immediately as a result, causing the incapacitations that the ME and Lally detail during trial. Unfortunately that means he would have been unable to sit up after suffering his head trauma and may explain why vomit was also in his mouth the following morning as noted by the EMT.

Also, his clothes were saturated with blood and vomit which may also indicate that he was not crouched over on his own accord to avoid getting vomit on his clothes but was in desperate need of help or support of some structure or object at the time to hold at least his torso up as the bodily fluids were expelled downward. In other words he could have been in a weak, injured state but still conscious during this period of time.

He didn’t remove his clothes tho.
I know. I mention that because in addition to be incapacitated, his clothes were also likely getting wet from the blood, vomit and snow as he laid outside. According to National Weather Service, being unable change out of his wet clothes, in addition to get inside or call or scream for help, could have also put him at greater risk of developing hypothermia, especially if any of clothes were made of cotton because it holds onto to moisture.

Oh agree.

I don't recall hearing that bits of the taillight were found embedded in John's clothes. But, I admittedly zoned out during all of that boring testimony. Was this confirmed?

If I'm being fully honest, I haven't given an awful lot of thought to the merits of Karen's cover up conspiracy. Among the many reasons for this is because we're now a significant way into the trial and I haven't seen a single piece of evidence that goes to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Karen Read murdered John O'Keefe with her car. Instead I'm seeing a terribly executed criminal investigation and I gravely fear that the evidence that otherwise would prove how JO'K died (let alone who caused him to die) has either been mishandled or destroyed either through incompetence or on purpose. This man's poor family did absolutely nothing to deserve this and whatever our opinions on this case I'm sure we all have huge amounts of sympathy for the O'Keefe family.

So what's left? Well, without even attempting to predict what absolute madness will take place in that courtroom while Trooper Michael Proctor is sat in the witness box, the CW needs expert witnesses to prove:

- that a Lexus SUV travelling at 24mph colliding into a fully grown man can cause a significant amount of the injuries that were found on John O'Keefe's body
- that a Lexus SUV travelling at 24mph colliding into a fully grown man can cause its' plastic tail light cover to completely shatter into multiple pieces and scatter all over a lawn

You might be able to tell from my tone that I'm not entirely optimistic that they will do this. But if they do, then and only then will I really consider whether the defense theory has weight or if it's as BS as some people seem to be very convinced that it is!
