If the judge didn't forewarn the camera operator that a juror was going to enter the courtroom so they shouldn't capture them, then it's her own fault the juror was caught on camera. How was the operator supposed to know what was going to happen.

Seems like she's angry and blaming someone else for her own screw-up.

"Punishment"?! For what is clearly a complete accident on the camera operator's part.

The people being punished are those following the trial who value transparency in the justice system!

My understanding is that the juror had an issue/concern about something, and is called to sidebar to join in with judge and counsels. However, juror is caught on camera. Two separate issues. moo

Mood continues to be tense.


And now another juror enters the courtroom.They are at the sidebar.


I believe these 3 jurors sit next each other.


And now a 4th juror enters for a sidebar.


That juror leaves the courtroom.Sidebar still going on



The jury is not in the courtroom.


The juror who had the first sidebar this morning is back.


That juror leaves the courtroom.


The second juror has returned for a conversation, and leaves the courtroom quickly.


And now the first juror is back for their third conversation with the judge & counsel.

We are back. Another juror is brought to sidebar.Clerk says audio feed is allowed. We are working to get that streamed because its from a different source than the pool camera.

Court Clerk just confirmed for me we can record and live stream the audio from the source being provided

A 3rd juror is brought to sidebar. These conversations are private so we don't know what the issue is

After that juror walks out, a 4th is brought to sidebar

The juror who first went to sidebar this morning has returned and is back at sidebar

Ok, sidebars have ended (for now). A 5 minute recess is called. Court clerk tells me we can air court zoom feed including the video. I'm not sure what the feed will look like but we will soon.

In the Karen Read trial, now a second juror is being called up to the bench to speak to the Judge and lawyers. Lots happening here. #karenread The families of both defendant and victim wait patiently to hear what's happening.

Now a third juror - all of them female BTW - has come in to speak with the Judge at sidebar.

And....we have a fourth female juror coming in for a chat.


Now the first juror who spoke to the Judge about whatever this issue is...is back.

Alan Jackson and David Yannetti are making points with the Judge. The first juror (who appeared on the pool cam) just walked out. I do not know if she has been dismissed. 3 other female jurors also spoke to the Judge.

Now one of those 3 other jurors is back in for a convo with Judge Connone. Would be nice to be a fly on the wall. It's brief - she is escorted out of the courtroom.

The initial juror who appeared on cam is back here at side bar for a third time.

Now a different juror has been brought in for a private conversation with the judge and attorneys at sidebar. This is NOT the same juror as the one brought in earlier.

Reminder: a male juror was dismissed earlier this week for "personal" reasons. There are currently 16 jurors on the panel.

The second juror leaves the courtroom. The judge remains at sidebar with the attorneys.

Now a THIRD juror has entered the courtroom and is speaking with the judge at sidebar. The juror is laughing and seems at ease. All three jurors brought in so far are women.

The three jurors brought in so far all sit close to each other in the jury box. No indication if that's related to why they are being brought in.


Now a FOURTH juror has been brought in for private questioning by the judge.

Fourth juror exits. Judge and attorneys still at sidebar.

So far no indication that any of the four jurors has been dismissed. We haven't seen any of them leave the courthouse.


Now the original juror who was brought in this morning has been brought back. She's back at the bench talking with judge and attorneys.


The judge was leaning in and speaking soft with that juror, who was nodding her head. The juror has now left the courtroom.

Now another one of the previously questioned jurors is back at sidebar for less than a minute and leaves again. I think she was the third one.

Now the first juror is back for a third third trip to the bench.

The juror holds up her hand as if to have good-bye and exits the courtroom.

Court is now in recess for five minutes.

The trial started with Judge Beverly Cannone speaking privately with four jurors. It's not clear why each juror was brought in one by one for private conversations.

Earlier this week a juror was dismissed from the case for "personal reasons."
