No man is worth that. You take your children and leave. If you have no help and resources, that is what shelters are for. Period. No excuses.

Off topic - I have the same height and clothes size and I am obese. If your BMI is over 30 (so weight over 190 pounds), you are medically obese.

BMI is not a good measure of obesity. I know it is what is generally used, but it is not a good measure. With out knowing her bone structure and body fat percentage, you can't assume she's obese just because she's a size fourteen.

I am one of those women who lost weight while pregnant. I am overweight but not morbidly obese. I had the dr get on to me because he thought I was trying to lose weight during my first pregnancy. I only gained six lbs and had an 8 1/2 lb baby. Nope, pregnancy just did something to my metabolism. I ate whatever I wanted. I was not sick. However, I had the belly and there was no doubt I was pregnant. With my third baby, I weighed less at delivery than when I got pregnant. I might have been able to hide that one if I had tried.

R. Rivera charged with growing marijuana. They have filled 12 hazardous material dumpsters and have 25 on hold to be able to remove all of the filth and debris from the residence. They are having to remove floors, ceilings, drywall, furniture, dirty diapers, vermin, insects, and dead animals - in addition to the 3 dead babies. The bill (already @ $25K) will be sent to Rivera's sister who owns the home. The Board of Health has taken over.

My sister-in-law concealed her first two pregnancies. It really is not that hard to convince someone that you are just getting pudgy... We all suspected, but she was able to convince us that she was putting on a bit of weight. She never wore maternity clothes, and looked chubby, but didn't carry it all directly in front so it was believable.

Total speculation on my part, so warning - is it likely that there was drug use in the home both by mom and dad, and since they were "altered" that accounts for neither of them knowing / realizing there was a pregnancy? If you don't get prenatal care, eat properly, avoid some things, etc - well, couple that with drug use and it could result in low birth weight baby, higher risk pregnancy, birth defects or even early term miscarriage. Just a though, completely MOO.

Based upon the pictures of the cleanup of the home, I suspect the infants were kept in the upstairs (2nd floor) room where the air conditioner unit was originally. Those windows are the ones where workers can be seen dumping trash into the blue dumpster below. There was one report that indicated the main floor of the home was not nearly as filthy as the upper floor.

I saw where he is 37 and she 31. He is the Father to the 13 y/o and 10 y/o and she was pregnant in highschool with the oldest so he must have been about 24 at the time. Did he never enter the 2nd floor of their home? Did his Sister (the landlord/property owner) never enter her home? I wonder if the 3 y/o what made the babies cry this time - that was unusual? What happened when EM was gone before? Who comforted the babies then? I can't get this case off my mind.

So, if she was hiding dirty diapers in the house, how could she then be purchasing diapers and no one know? For 3 years! varying sizes as they grew...They had lived in that house for 3-4 years...So, she evidently moved in pregnant with the 3 yr old. Did she move the deceased infants into the home?

Very strange, especially for the oldest 2, there is no way they didn't know about the surviving 2 youngest. The intimidation of a witness charges were involving one or both of the 2 eldest.

Prayers for healing for all 4 surviving children. Let them get the best care available, please, and go to wonderful homes.

If the 10 year old approached a neighbor about how to make a baby stop crying, clearly THAT child knew there was at least ONE additional child besides the first pair.

This is just me but if I was told no more children because we couldn't afford it. I would be using protection. If I got pregnant and feared the finding out I would give that baby up. Conceal away..... Give it up.
If I had a baby on the floor and feared the be finding out. The baby was a stillborn then I should call the cops.the er Or at least my parents or someone.
If I had a stillborn and feared bf from finding out. I would definitely not have it in the house.
Then again I am only guessing what I would do. There has be a mental issue.
I wasn't clear on if they were going to see how the pets died.
Why wouldn't anyone that smelled the smell not call the police?
How could you not see your daughter, friends people around her not see something going on. There isn't aby way that bf. Knew nothing. No amount of pot smoke could cover that smell. Who I their right mind let's their or any kids live I that?

Exactly what I said before and cannot comprehend, if you got pregnant once after you knew your SO didn't want anymore children, why wouldn't you get on birth control?? Planned Parenthood is all over the US. It really bothers me that she got pregnant additional 5 times!

Comments from her FB page haunt me. She posted numerous comments about food cooking and how "the house smells so good", she commented that "some people should not be parents", and posts about a missing 2 y/o child, or how no parent should ever have to face the loss of a child, and expressed sadness at the drowning of a 4 y/o. She posted last Feb. "homework done. . .dishes done. . . dinner started". Her friends comment on her domestic chores and she replies that it is not hard.

Pictures of 3 "grown up grilled cheese" sandwiches made with Brie that her "family loves", along with the picture of spanish rice make me sickened when I think of what they found those babies having to endure. Did she feed the babies those Martha Stewart meals that she boasted about making? Or did she just feed them with maggot infested bottles?

At the very least, she fooled many people and she was good at it for a very long time. Whether this was a "survival" instinct for herself and her older children - where is the "survival instinct" of a protective Mother of those infants? I do not know what mental illness she might be diagnosed with, what I do know is that she showed favoritism to the oldest 2 while profoundly neglecting vulnerable babies. She made choices to have at least the illusion of a "normal" home and "normal" parenting - so she knew what that looked like. I don't know the underlying issues that she struggles with but I do believe that children are not safe in her care. Clearly, there is some level of failure to protect on the part of the Father - even if he didn't know about the younger ones - he still had a responsibility to his older kids. All of this is just my opinion but I feel that some of those FB posts may come back to haunt her later.

EM's Atty states she is now in a suicide watch unit and he "said Monday he was skeptical of whether forensic testing of the remains could conclusively determine whether the babies were stillborn."

Perhaps reality got in with her fantasy life. Maybe if those babies were stillborn they simply don't exist . I'm surprised that there wasn't a breakdown of sorts sooner. Especially, if she was confronted with the reality that yes you have dead infants... Etc the condemeble nature harbor in your fantasy world.

Even I am obese, with the same data, despite having a lot of muscular mass, due to swimming and playing handball and volleyball in my childhood and youth.

Murray went to her mother after the pot bust, lived with her with boyfriend while pregnant the first time, lived with a sister in law, so when she got pregnant with #3?, #4?, #5? she had support, but chose not to use it, chose not to use birth control, chose not to go for free prenatal help, chose not to go to adoption agancy. Today there is so much FREE at clinics. She chose not to go to work for health insurance. She chose not to clean her house. But she did chose to be on facebook. JMOO

Her Atty is now saying that it is obvious things going on in her head were not real. Chairman of the local Board of Health says it was so contaminated most homeowners would not know how to go about cleanup. Costs are increasing to $30K and they may have to put a lien against the property to recoup losses for the local taxpayers.
