Never heard of anyone having pictures of her. Why wouldn't the person who took pictures take or send them to LE with information as to where she was seen ?

It sounds like they had seen someone who strongly resembled her panhandling a few times while driving in RI I believe. They had said they took a few pics of whomever this panhandler was the next time they saw her and sent them to LE. I was just curious if they ever heard anything back or if it was even investigated.

I remember reading on here someone thought they saw her panhandling and hanging out with homeless people in Providence, R.I. They said they were going to try to take a picture of her. Who knows if the picture even got to the right person who was investigating her disappearance.

Did anything ever come from this? I found it interesting two different ppl on here reported perhaps seeing her panhandling. Heard her case on the vanished podcast and it always stuck with me. Feel terrible for her loved ones. Prayers

According to LE, no leads came of this.

'We just want answers' — Hanson woman still missing after 5 weeks

LE says that they began to receive multiple tips that she was seen panhandling in Fall River.

From that article:

In recent weeks, police had received tips that Crispo was seen in Fall River. Hanson police have been working with Fall River police detectives to follow up on potential sightings and have visited areas of the city to see if she is staying there, but Miksch said none of those leads have led them to Crispo.

"We can't rule out it was her on one of them, but we also can't get a positive ID," Miksch said. "Fall River is still very much aware and checking areas to see if she decided to pop in with the homeless population. We've also put alerts out to Brockton and Boston."

I don't understand why he didn't pull into driveway when he dropped her off since her car wasn't there, then once she cleared his truck, he could have backed out onto dirt road. That's what I would have done but I'm not him.

No reason why he couldn't have done that; Sandra did it every time she left home. I think I turned around at her neighbor's house and backtracked because the rest of Spoffard looked kind of sketchy and I wasn't really sure where I'd connect with a "real" road or whether Spoffard became unpassable or a dead end at some point. But he knew the area, of course. I remember thinking I could have pulled in and backed out of Sandra's, but there was no way I was doing that! I felt like enough of an intruder as it was.

Thanks for posting this up. When I saw the two of those people mention the panhandling thing it always made me wonder what if. Happy to hear LE looked into it at least

You're welcome. LE seemed to have taken it pretty seriously as not only did they check out homeless encampments in Fall River, they expanded their interest to homeless populations in Brockton and Boston.

The fact that he didn't pull into the driveway made me think what if ? Because he worked late was he tired and stressed ? Was he late getting to mechanics if he had a time he was expected to be there ? Added stressed. He had 3 boys in the back of the truck that might have been noisy and a distraction as they were shouting and waving goodbye to Grammy that he also had to get home, feed dinner and get ready for bed because his wife would get home from work around 9 pm or later. I am not sure SC even cleared the truck before he started moving it.

I guarantee you that if LE wanted to know his exact movements and to check if they correlated with his story - i.e., we left her house at X time and then drove straight home, where I stayed taking care of the kids until Y time (or whatever it was) - they could easily find this out. They can track all of his movements from his cell phone data and the GPS data in his vehicle and match it up with surveillance camera footage on his route, etc. And if he was being clever and turned his phone completely off? If that's out of character for him for that time of day, LE will be all over that too.

Very difficult to conceal the type of activity you are theorizing IMO.

I agree with it being difficult to conceal the activity I am theorizing, I am just exploring another possibility however slim.

I wish we knew what LE has and has not actually investigated. Her family has indicated that a full criminal investigation has not been done, presumably because she's still considered a missing person and there is no actual indication that a crime took place.

I would like to know what LE has investigated too. We heard that LM found some evidence in the house that LE has but we don't know what she found or if LE "considers it evidence or not". No eyewitness who saw her leave the area of her home with someone or alone.

That’s great to hear they went that far into that tip. It’s sad when you see/hear about some of these LE departments who do the absolute minimum.

Your right about LE who do the absolute minimum. I can't say that was the case with Kelsey Berreth missing from Colorado but I do remember reading it was her parents who found blood evidence in her home, not LE.

They were looking for a missing person. So I agree it's great that they followed on these types of tips, it remains unclear if they've ever done any sort of criminal investigation.

Good afternoon/morning! I’ve been following this case since the beginning but somehow missed seeing the interview Bob Ward form Fox25 Boston conducted with LM and her husband. I only found a 30 sec clip from that interview online. I’ve also tried doing a search on WS and SC doesn’t seem to have a media thread. Does anyone have the link to that interview handy? Thank you so much:-)

There doesn't seem to be any evidence of this being a stranger/abduction/ foul play case. There seems to be very little to no evidence. Anyone have a suspect or POI (person of interest) in mind ? I have a couple of possible ones. Not going to name any though.

If you Google Bob Ward on Sandra Crispo and click on article that starts with 10 months later, you can hear it as I just did. It's an interview with her daughter.

Not sure if this is the one you are looking for, but here is a direct link. Great shots of the exterior of the house and you can briefly see Spoffard and how narrow and close it is to the house.

One year later, still no sign of missing Hanson woman

"It's not like her to not answer her phone."

Thank you for the suggestion and link, I appreciate it! I have seen that interview with LM but I am looking for an interview Bob Ward did with LM AND her husband. I vaguely remember some members commenting on how LM’s husband was very emotional and teared up during the interview when talking about his mil’s disappearance. Does anyone recall that interview?
