Thank you for taking the time to straighten inaccuracies of my interpretations as it is not my purpose nor intent to confuse the discussion nor interject falsehoods. Hence, I shall bow out of posting, att. However, I'll continue to check for updates. I am friends with a delightful Italian Marcotte family out of Boston.

I am sorry to see you bow out of posting. Especially due to something directed at you . Maybe you will change your mind. With so little known , there are many positive people trying to figure things out. Your input is appreciated. Thank you.

In my opinion, the only person who could know it all would be someone directly involved. There is no way to be certain about what happened otherwise because facts have not been released. We speculate and toss things around with consideration for everyone's thoughts , not just one way. With hope and belief that law enforcement have plenty and thankful for their work.

Even if there's no a resolution now, who knows what may happen down the road. As they say, "time is a gentleman."

Nicely said, JEF. Thank you.

Not much is known and/or confirmed, no reason for you to bow out, DeDee.

One other thing. Repeatedly stating there is no 'boogy man' or whatever attacking her..minimizes the situation. This is not Fiction. It is a real tragedy. This woman was attacked on a Sunday afternoon. Whether he was in a car, on a bike, jogging, walking , in the bushes, or standing in his yard as she ran by,etc. She was attacked and killed. She deserves respect in regards to what happened and justice as others say.

Stick around DeDee, we need your thoughts.
I get my interpretations challenged all the time, and that's a good thing!
We test our thinking here, and collectively come up with some good theories, and even some great leads that are respectfully submitted to LE for consideration. We all have our areas of contribution, if only to encourage and pray for the families. Stick around, and keep contributing! This is all about Vanessa and her family; nothing else matters.

You are right. It is open for various good leads and we all have our areas of contribution. There is such little known, so much can be helpful. Nice to stay positive . Conflict doesn't help. Yes, this is about Vanessa and her family who we can respect in our discussion.

Although Vanessa's family's surname may be of French origin, Marcotte is also an Italian surname. I've seen it on Ancestry immigration records when researching my own surname. Perhaps it's a misspelling of the original Italian name, but I have seen it. Just an fyi.

I believe there are three possible reasons for the DNA collection and I also believe this killer is smart enough to figure out all of them.

It's not going to be easy to catch him. But that doesn't mean it won't happen.

DeeDee, I hope you stay. All the talk and ideas help.

Interesting. You may be right. It seems probable they are dealing with a smart, calculating killer.

As for the cart path, I think the way it's being explained is confusing because I misunderstood which path was being referred to. When I've used it, I've meant the path where the body was found, which is in No Way related to the path at the end of Connor Lane at this point. That path (where the body was found) ends not far off Brooks Station Road. It is overgrown. A car could drive down it a short distance.

Thank you. It is confusing. Somehow, I am still somewhat confused about that.

Yeah I'm wondering what LE would hope to gain by doing this. Any ideas?

They can narrow the field. The perp certainly wouldn't volenteer, but they can elliminate lots of people.

I think I see what you are saying. So path where she was found is off of Brooks Station Rd.. Is it not part of Connor Lane or it is the beginning of Connor Lane? And is the cemetery further down this path and/or lane, but close?

Sorry, I am editing this now, after re-reading what you said. You say the path 'ends' not far off Brooks Station Rd. and then overgrown. So not part of Connor lane?

I am not sure how this got so confusing?

I don't think he is particularly smart; I think his family is protecting his identity. It's going ton come out anyway. If my speculation is correct, they are really doing the wrong thing. Really wrong. All opinion and speculation only.

Thank you for the input. I think it is both. You are correct, that is very wrong. I do believe you that it will come out anyway.

I think it only appears disorganized due to the unexpected level of fight she put up , leading to rushed cover up. Yet, he still knew what to rely on spontaneously and made it complex enough for a longer investigation. JMO

Even though such time has passed, if there is anyone who knows something who has not come forward , please do. They did say tips could be anonymous and every piece helps.
