Yes from what my feeble mind can remember of the pictures they were growing and rooted. So wouldnt LE have cut them and taken it in as evidence is what I mean?? And they might not be there when you get a chance to go FM.

It's possible that they have been removed however the photos of them that you saw were taken by the media and if law enforcement was intending to remove them as evidence seems to me they should have done that before allowing anyone outside of the investigation to access the scene

I, too, am very interested in the burns. Let's confirm the torch theory or eliminate it completely.

It is my personal feeling that no accelerant was used. Not unless Perp stashed it as the CS prior to the abduction. Adding an accelerant under the dry conditions would have done far more fire damage than what we see in the CS photos.

I had thought about stopping and walking in the woods myself, but time was an issue.
Personally, going in the woods alone being an issue never crossed my mind. I doubt this guy is targeting males, and I think that's the last place he is hanging around, waiting for someone to show up, but I guess you can't be too careful.
I was just thinking if I did go, would I call the cops in advance, and let them know I'd be parked? Not a bad idea to give them a heads up, but then I was thinking they may tell you to stay away, not sure.

I have been looking at google map to try to see what that area is like and I am confused about something. There is a road on the map called Hubbardston Rd. It connects with Radford road which was mentioned to do with her running routes. The houses on Hubbardston road are right around the corner from the crime scene, taking Radford Road from Brooks Station and this Hubbardston road has not been talked about much. Also, If you avoid the street and go north from the crime scene through the woods instead, it would take you right by the pond there (if something were to be thrown there) and come out on Hubbardston at houses just down the street from the store that was also talked about? It is very close , but not been discussed much if at all in here?

Another thing. Following Google Map down the BSR...it shows a long straight stretch around the area , making it easy for someone to look both ways a long distance to see if a car is coming.

I see what you mean about Hubbardston Rd. With those houses being closer to the road it would be easy for someone to lurk. I haven't looked, but I am wondering if there are any cams on those houses. I know the Google images are older, and some may have installed cams since, but I am going to look.
Also, you are right about that stretch of straight road. It would have been easy for someone to watch for cars. Google maps make that road look much longer, but still true.
I still believe that VM was on the same side of the road as the path, because that stretch of straight road would have worked against him if she wasn't, meaning that if a car was further away, they still may have seen him dragging her across the road from afar, if that was the case.

It wouldn't surprise me if you enounter LE parked behind your car when you exit the woods sitting behind your vehicle running the plate number, and after what happened there, if the officer has reason to believe "his/her life is in jeopardy," or if he/she believes that you are "armed and dangerous, they can pat you down."
One year mandatory jail time for an unlicensed handgun in Mass.

Looking at it more, I can see what you said earlier about someone hiding out there, on the side of the road, in the bushes. It seems like a difficult place for a vehicle to pull over and very obvious if someone did. It is not like roads with a larger breakdown lane. Looking closer at the area gives more perspective. It seems someone would have to be walking, hiding, biking, or running. Not sure what part the vehicle plays in it, clearly some part it would seem.

LE had put up cameras at the crime scene a couple of months ago to record plates of cars stopping there. I'm not sure if they are still up or not, but I am guessing they still are.
