Amanda Marr said she picked up Zachary from North Station at 6 p.m. on Friday and the two drove back to her apartment in South Boston where she prepared dinner for him: chicken, chips, guacamole, and hummus.

She said they had a drink before leaving to go to the Bell in Hand about 10 p.m. She said Zachary Marr stepped out to smoke a cigarette several times.

At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Zachary sent Marr a text that he was going out for a smoke, she said. About five minutes later, she said, he sent her a Snapchat saying that bar staff was not letting him back in.

During a brief text exchange Zachary told her he was “Out front.” At 1:50 a.m. Amanda Marr and the rest of the group made their way outside, but Zachary Marr was nowhere to be found, she said.

“I was trying to stay calm,” she said. “Maybe he went for a walk.”

Another cousin searched around the corner and found no sign of him.

Amanda said she figured Zachary might have spotted a friend or met a woman, but she thought she’d hear from him later that day.

By 10 a.m. on Saturday there was still no word from her cousin. She said she contacted police and took to canvassing the area where she got surveillance videos that place Zachary Marr in front of the Boston Public Market near the bar at 1:40 a.m.

Why would she say that, honestly?

@JeannaT
It's not unheard of for a guy out at a club to leave with a pretty girl. Maybe his friends were hoping he got lucky, instead of... unlucky.

So...he went outside to smoke and make a call and a girl walks by...they hit it off... And he vanishes without calling anyone? Wouldn't the girl be seen on surveillance with him?

Right. No. It didn't happen. I think his friends were just up all night freaking out and throwing ideas around. We pretty much know whatever happened, that wasn't it.

I've read his facebook. He's not gay. That comment was a joke.Read other posts, then check out his friends. He was definitely into women.

Well, then that takes me back to one of my first posts in this thread, that a woman (or someone who looked like a woman) abducted him.

I don't have any idea now. Early in his disappearance I thought it was a woman who lured him away.

Confused by this post. He was obviously seen out by many people Saturday night and was captured on surveillance video until around 1:40 am Sunday morning.

He went out with his cousins Friday night into Saturday morning.

I read those comments about seeing him on the Boston PD facebook.

If this witness saw someone who looks so very similar to Zachary, that's one thing. If he actually KNOWS Zachary and saw him, that's another.

Facepalm! Sorry. I couldn't sift through the million FB comments to see that one. Does it appear credible?

The comment is made by JM. Says he was seen dancing at Paddy O's on Saturday night. Who knows, but family members addressed the comment...maybe they can get video from that area.

None of us know Boston really,” said Jeremy Wuth, a cousin of Marr. “We’re all out from Leominster. We’re not here all the time. Anything could’ve happened.”

The bar released a statement Monday saying surveillance video showed Marr leaving the establishment at 1:20 a.m. “The video clearly shows that Zachary did not try to re-enter the Bell in Hand,” read the statement. “Other video has shown he was last seen in front of the garage heading towards Surface Artery.”

Bell in Hand Tavern said the video shows other customers leaving and re-entering after 1:20 a.m. and said Marr would not have been denied access.

“We hope that he is found soon and we are cooperating fully with police and the family to help in any way we can,” read the statement.

Marr and company were in the city celebrating his 22nd birthday. Marr left the bar to make a phone call, but when his cousins got outside, he was gone. Relatives handed out fliers Monday to anyone, hoping someone may have seen him.

Marr’s family said he has had his struggles, but he’s been working full-time, recently got promoted, and is also in school. They told Newscenter 5 he’s a good kid and is so loved.

“So many people have been gracious in sharing his story,” said Jessica Fortier-Gross, also a cousin of Marr. “We miss him. We just want him home.”

It turns out I saw the comment and passed it by because I incorrectly thought he was missing Saturday night/early Sunday AM. I'm taking it with a major grain of salt because of the nonchalance of the commenter. If he knows Zachary and can confirm he saw him, I think there would be a great deal more urgency. But I'll stay hopeful that he's out there and safe somehow nonetheless.

At least this potential lead can be confirmed or dismissed easily by video surveillance. I'd have to think if he was out the next night having a good time, others would come forward with info as well. Living in the Boston area, this story is all over the news.

according to this article, he was probably staying with his cousin who made him Dinner. I wonder where they parked. According to this, he was seen at the Boston Public Market. According to their FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Boston-Public-Market/848877121869970?fref=ts there is parking that you wouldn't even have to go outside, elevators etc. If they parked there ( again, don't know where they parked if at all) there could be something hinky with that garage. Again, just guessing!
