The timing is what is throwing me off here too. I just can't imagine he left the bar at 1:20am and stood around in that area across the street for 20min in that weather before messaging his friends to leave. There is no way he would be enjoying a smoke for 20min in that temperature. There is no way he would be on the phone for 20min in that temperature just waiting around outside. He had no jacket! If the bar has surveillance that he left at 1:20am and the next time he is seen is 1:40am right across the street then where the heck was he for those 20min? There is no way I believe he was just standing around between the bar and the market for 20min! Did he go inside someplace between 1:20 and 1:40? A car? A store/restaurant that was open?

I think this is where we are all getting upset -- how stupid - management and their statement -- we all caught on pretty quickly that one time stamp is 140 another 4 minutes later

so in twenty min he went poof---- on no cameras anywhere in an area , that those here are familiar with is just not possible

poof a short spaceship ride UP and then a drop off across the street

and if you look at his body language on the shot with him standing there - to me it fits, staring at the bar waiting for his friends , to come with his coat, and not be alone, scared, buzzed and hurting from the cold

its a "waiting" posture check it out agian

IMOO... I think this will be a drug issue. The vague comments from family, seems to be a change in appearance also. Hopefully I am wrong but the Heroin around here has been deadly.

concur i think there will be a subastance abuse history also -- but what do with him vanishing from cameras -- if it was an drug related abduction there should still be something on video

if we are doing he started flirting with some hot girls in a car there should be some video of him talking or standing by there car

Can anyone who has been on that steet tell us exactly what is next door to the bar and then the next stores and do you beleive that all these "neighboring" retai places have no cameras.

That is how LE is playing this-- its like there are big gaps in private businness not having cameras in a busy collage drinking part of a whole part of a big city.
its ludicrious, if I were family, I would go right to the bar, and walk store by store, and see if they have cameras, and then ask and confirm.

Thats just silly two retail outlets in a hopping part of town and they are the only two in the area with cameras on - even if closed silly silly insulting actually and they seem to be getting away with it -were close to a week with the same BS

That just sounds like a lie, heck NSA knows I just picked my nose (kidding guys!!)

How can this keep happening? Same story, different name, another month. In this case we have a picture of the young man outside with no one around. Yet, like the others, he vanishes into thin air!

I say impossible! There has to be a person or group that is out of camera range that calls to the person to get them to walk out of camera range too. They are then attacked and taken to the water area for whatever reason. If their flys are all open, that is a sign of the same person committing the crime, not just going to the water to urinate and fell in. In my eyes, that is a lazy excuse from LE NOT to investigate.

My opinions only.

It would be so helpful to know who else, if anybody, he was on the phone with that evening. The bar says they can see in other surveillance that he was last seen walking up the road to the surface artery. There has to be more than that if he was outside for 30 minutes before friends and cousins noticed he was gone. I wish we knew these two details.

last seen walking up the road to the surface artery.

if there cameras are that good! why cant they provide us with video of him walking across the street in front of their bussiness

I think mamagement knows one of their staff bounced and are being just like politicans throwing everything out there, confuse it, knowing that is a week media is gone......................and they prob will get away with it ...........

I hate to say it or even think it...but I agree. The 20 or so minute lapse in time is what's troubling me.

but my dear, we should have him on video dying or whatever

Ok i'm not sure why everyone is having a hard time buying this timeline. First of all, we can't be assured that the time that Bell in Hand has perfectly matches that of the surveillance photos from Boston Public Market. Let's just say there is a margin of error of roughly 2-3 minutes. It was 21 degrees with a windchill of 13 degrees. Yes it was really cold but if he is completely inebriated he wouldn't feel a thing. If he gets tossed for being too drunk as we suspect, he probably has no idea what he's doing. What if he chats up a girl outside? There are a few other bars there. And even with the cold there would still be people walking around outside. So he leaves the bar at 1:20am (bell in hand time)...talks to a girl...has a smoke with her outside --7 minutes. Looks at Boston Public Market...thinks its a place that sells smokes (he's has one left). Walks over...at about 1:30 am. Smokes another butt. 1:35am. Footage captures him at 1:40am (Boston Public Market Time) I think its totally feasible especially given his suspected condition.

but even that should have video (no you are not to watch!)

its this Ben Gazi missing video or Nixons 18 minute gap that is the core "red flag"

I dont know, a bussiness next door whose canmera caught him being dragged into a car , and they agree, for bussiness sake lets erase it

I dont know

Insomniac that I am, I was up at 2am on that newborn Saturday, and although I didn't have a thermometer handy as I stepped onto my balcony, I can tell you that -9 might have been the official average tempt for Friday the 13th, but it felt several degrees colder than that in the wee hours of Saturday morning.

I cannot fathum below zero -- I find 52 mniserable and the amount of time people in those enviroments spend putting on clothes and shedding them is just mentally exhausting !!!!!!!!

on off on off on off yuk

Yes, I believe there are not many cameras in that area, and the ones there are likely aren't pointed in a direction to see anything useful. They're to catch robbers and breakins, not scan passing pedestrians.

I hate to mention the Shane Montgomery case again, but there are a couple of things I learned from it. Three weeks after his disappearance, video footage was found showing him heading into a parking lot by the river he was ultimately found in.

Three weeks later. Just because no video is available now, don't give up hope that none exists or will be uncovered in the future.

I'm really SO saddened by the angle this story has taken. This is a very beloved, if troubled, young man who was driven to the train station by his father so he could enjoy a celebration of his birthday with his cousins. Then he went outside to smoke/make a call and horribly went missing.

I don't believe for a minute he scored heroin, or whatever other drug in that 20 minutes he was outside.

God bless you, Zachary Marr. So many love you.

I've been in that part of town; the map looks rather straightforward but it's a maze of narrow streets and odd angles. I suspect he went out for his cigarettes, got turned around and went the wrong way around the block, and eventually wound up in front of the Market thinking it was the door of the place he left. (Of course they weren't letting him in. It was closed.)

It does not take long to develop fatal hypothermia at those temperatures.

can you metally remeber like , on the same side of the street,

You've never been to Boston. If he was so bombed they would have likely just shut the door on him. I don't think they really care at that point. It's near closing time. The kid can't stand straight. They don't want him there any longer. They probably told him to call his friends and get out.

your mailbox is full !!!!

Totally. No door guy wants to be cleaning up barf or breaking a fight up that night

Lets say something truthful comes out -- what charge could the bouncer get for thrwoing a 20 year old person, with no clothes on in -9 degree and is dead.

could it be manslaughter??

I also have wondered if blood alchohol levels could be totally messed up being in such cold water for so long?

Also i forgot. There are i believe two or three different entrances to Bell In Hand. If he left one door maybe he tried to get back the other way but got denied. And maybe that entrance had no camera.
