And apparently they haven't learned anything from Madeleine's disappearance because they still go off and leave their children. Not alone, but if it were me, I'd be holding on to the twins as tight as I could and wouldn't be able to stand having them out of my sight. That's just me, though. Obviously, Kate McCann sees the situation differently.

I dont think she would get very far if she became a campaigner for missing children, everyone knows that she left her children unattended and her curious behaviour as if she is hiding or not telling the truth. I would call her a hypocrit, as she is campaigning for the safety of children but did not keep her own children safe, the parents should be punished for what they did but instead they are getting plenty of media attention to detract us from the truth.

So true. And, this is the same person who can put few complete sentences together without her husband interrupting her, she can't even do a one-on-one interview, but she's now an activist? Does she mean 'they' are activists? Someone needs to put a stop to the McCann's vacation that never ends, Kate needs to get out of the sun, her brain has gotten as much as her skin. Be present for your other children Kate and quit running from them, believe it or not, they need YOU during these early critical years.

Photo shoots and globetrotting around the world are obviously more important than their twins. At least they are too young to really understant the severity of this, Im sure the parents will come up with a good story when they are older and want to know what happened to their older sister, or even if they tell them they had a sister at all. I am so angry right now that Im writing what I really think, and imo I think that the parents will not be truthful when telling their twins, as they havent told the truth so far.

They have barely given those twins a thought, IMO, except as props for photo shoots. I don't think they ever gave the kids much more than a thought. I think they are extremely selfish and I think they had those children to use as accessories, like a purse or a hat: "Look at our kids!" I don't know for sure what happened to Madeleine but I think the parents know more than they are saying...and I do find it curious, as someone has posted, that we've heard nothing at all from the friends they were traveling with, on any of it.

I think it's time they pack it in, go home to England, and try to put a little normalcy and more attentive parenting into the twins' little lives while they do what they can from England to try and find Maddie, but I think the reality is, she is gone forever. And Kate, if you're going to quit being a doctor, do it to be a SAHM for your remaining children, not to travel some more and be an "advocate", b/c you and your husband are poster children for selfish, self-centered parents.

Well said, how can they be advocates for other missing children when they couldnt be their for their own children, I feel sorry for the twins, I feel they will never know they had a big sister.
I agree their friends need to be investigated further, one of more of them most know something. Somebody does.

I'm new on the board and just wanted to say you guys are all saying exactly what most of the general population is thinking. You're educated professionals in another country, and you up and just leave these tiny kids all alone in a strange hotel room? If that were someone with no means they'd be locked up. Both of them and their other kids would be in the system.

Welcome to WS.

I missed if you all saw this, just skip over if you had, but I had a google alert in my box this morning, I, myself, hadn't ever heard the parents say she may never be found...did ya'll already see this?

I find that to be an VERY odd statement. I always thought that a parent of a missing child never gave up hope! Not ever! Look at Etan Patz (sp?) His mother never moved from the apartment they lived in and never gave up! That is just ONE, I could name 100 more. NEVER before have I heard a parent throw in the towel conceeding defeat this early on in somthing like this.

I wonder why the British journalists, any journalists or investigative reporters, haven't found out or looked for a name, a word from these friends at the resort. It's unheard of.

This sounds like another suggestion by the PR team to rehabilitate the McCanns' image.

100% agree.

Hi Y'all,

SALEM:-

Given that the family never asked him to start working on the case, I'm not sure where they get the nerve to ask him to stop.

In addition, I agree with him that they will find Maddie very close to where she was taken. He also says the Portugese police know what happened to Maddie and are not to be trusted. I agree with this 100%. The PP's actions in this case have left a lot to be desired. Their refusal to search the site last week until they received a bunch of negative press was very telling.

And the parent's refusal to hire a private investigator is also very telling in my opinion.
There was another psychic quoted that said he believes Kate McCann was withholding information.........

I believe the father was interviewed for 13 hours early on in the investigation and the mother for 4 of those hours, the British Lawyers were bought in the day after...could it be that the 'interviews' threw up some uncomfortable questions and the police are looking into them as possibly having more of a direct hand in it? Although they (police) have declared that they (parents) are not suspects....with this other case going on with the Portugese mother who was allegedly beaten into a confession and the daughter still not found, which incidently does anyone know when this claim was made by the Portugese mother? had the complaint been lodged before Maddie went missing?....just wondering if there could be a 'smear campaign' going on?

I do believe the Portugese police may have a good idea what happened to Maddie but I cant understand why they are not doing more? Is it that they are covering up a 'problem' that exists within their community or do they suspect the McCanns - if its the latter, I would have thought it would be in their interest to prove it, it would go some way in exonerating them in the Portugese mothers case.

Please forgive me y'all but I'm wound up by all of this this am and am talking my mind:- are they so confident she may never be found because he is confident she's well hidden?

CarpeDiem

I understand to a certain extent as we discussed before why the 'freinds' are keeping quiet, but I'm astounded that the Nanny back here in the UK has managed to stay quiet, the press over here love a 'story' - they could be treading carefully due to the furore that was caused over Robert Murat with his name being put forward by the Sunday Mirror journalist...I'm not at all sure on this one.

Filly - Welcome!

I feel so fearful that this may remain unsolved.

I am not worried this will be unsolved. I believe the truth always comes out...it might take awhile tho if people are really thwarting the investigation on purpose. However, it could be too late for Madeleine. Sad to say.

  • #332
I think she's dead. If she has been kidnapped, and alive, some sort of sign of live would have been given. Either to force the parents into paying ransom, or (in the case she's kidnapped by someone who "loves" her) to let the world know that she's still alive. She's probaby raped and killed on the same day.

New people have to take over in the police department, one would think with charges pending against the chief and other officer's, that would already have happened.

Unbelievable the McCann's aren't out putting ONE poster up, while at the same time meeting people, talking to locals, checking the area.:banghead:

I know, I keep bringing it up as I know some reporters read these boards. Someone should have the balls to get and give the answers that could shed any bit of light on this case. There ought to be Justice for Maddie.

I have seen a couple of names mentioned--one a fellow cardiac counsultant working with Mr McCann who was on holiday too.. The statement from him was wishing the best for the family (paraphrased). and in only one article. Will look for link when I can.

But that is it!!! Docs will never talk about Docs...imoo

The nanny IIRC went to the states to visit family in US during their one week holiday in the Algarve. Haven't seen anything about her. :silenced:

What about neighbors, playmates families, etc. Unbelievable:snooty:

The McCanns only worked and lived in their current area for two years IIRC. Prior to that they lived in Amsterdam--maybe some connection from there????? Who knows?????

Velkommen til Portugal:D ......

And they still have not requested assistance from Britian- Interpol-or other agencies!!

I agree. Where are all these sensational journalists who still don't let Princess Di rest in peace.

Madeleine's story is happening NOW!!!!

And is definitely being handled in a very odd manner-to say it mildly ;)
