Have been catching up on the posts, and boy you guys are good, Colomom, Calikid, your theories are spot on, I know a lot of other WS are thinking the same.

Just to add what Im thinking in reference to the LE, I think they are keeping information close to their chests, I do believe they know something but are not saying as it may impede the investigation, I sure hope Im right because if I am not then they are no further into the investigation than the first day Madelaine went missing.
The theory about the parents giving Madelaine something to make her sleep keeps coming to the fore, and I think there is a possibility that this could have happened.

I absolutely love Aussie Mike, he says it as it is, asks the questions we all want to know the answers too, lets hope they get answered.

I know that private people (Beckham, JK Rowling, etc.) have put up a reward, but we sure haven't seen any information on it lately.

I can't believe how short-sighted I am. I never even considered throwing her in the trash. I've been totally focused on a vision of them dumping her out in the countryside when getting rid of a body in town makes so much more sense. I pray if it's true that Madeleine is located quickly. I do think the Portuguese police are more on top of things than we know.

I truly hope that Madelaine wasnt thrown in with the trash, but it sure is a possibility.
That could explain why the mother was yelling "They have taken her", to throw everyone of the trail until the trash was collected and taken away, the sniffer dogs would be a great idea to help in a search of their rubbish tip.

Hi CaliKid, I truly apologise, I'd attributed your post to colomom, gee I really shouldn't be on the computer at gone 2 in the morning....my brain is so frazzled, I have no idea what I have read and where. That post was a work of Art CaliKid and I firmly believe you are spot on.....

this is a brief summary (due to the early hour) of how I 'feel' it went down, there was an 'accident' in the apt. as they were bathing the kids and preparing for the 'party', whatever happened, as Dr's they panicked because they would lose their medical licences, their newly attained lifestyle (they hadn't been qualified for that long):-

Finished medicine and working as a cardiology registrar in Leicestersince Jan 2000 (hopefully temporarily).

(incidently that 'freinds re-united entry used to have a jokey reference along the lines of 'anyone up for a spot of babysitting'...until it was getting a lot of discussion on the forums)

frightened they might lose the twins...etc. I dont feel she was an entirely willing participant, I feel he is very controlling, I'm sure I read somewhere he was in the Army at sometime, have been looking for the link all day, I think it was in the interview regarding their faith with the Catholic mag - I could be wrong, my brain is like mush right now. I think he emotionally persuaded her and he hid that poor soul, I dont think he would have done it nearby, discussion on DS tonight and a link posted that suggested he did have use of a hire car, but not entirely confirmed, I feel they came across some remote spots during their stay, remember when they went for that controversial 'jog' to the mountains, mentioned they did it in 19 minutes or something?....all his previous blogs conveniently removed from the official site!! If they can jog it in minutes, how long would it take in a car?..........he could have 'done the deed' in the space of half an hour....they left for dinner @8.

As for their prolonged stay in Portugal, now I'm seriously wondering if that is their choice, there was a lot of debate as to why they kept leaving the twins behind while they were off on their mission of finding Madeleine....perhaps they were made to leave them as a 'bond'?....if they are staying there of their own free will, perhaps they want to remain near the 'scene' perhaps they/he has already been back there, plus I think it easier for them to control the dilemma in Portugal, they can be more hands on and maybe want to be in touch with the PLE to try and ascertain if they are gathering a case against them.....hopes this makes sense - is nearly 3 in the morning.

We definitely need to know where the investigation is at. Do the LE know something and not telling or have they come to a dead end. Wish they would tell us either way how the investigation is coming along.

Great post MG. It's funny you should mention this because this is EXACTLY what I think. Whatever happened to her was an accident, although it was probably preventable. I even think it's possible Madeleine might have been whiny and misbehaving and GM hit her. Anyway, I do believe this whole bit is the father's idea and KM went along with it because she was talked into it. After all, she was the one who was much more torn apart after Madeleine went missing- almost to the point of collapse.

That's what I mean about needing to know the McCann timeline from when Madeleine was last sighted by a non-family member or parent's friend and what they were observed doing after that.

Interesting idea, making the McCanns leave the twins to ensure their return. In fact, all of this makes sense. Good job!

I think (IMHO) Dingo, that the HUGE number of souls sending prayers heavenward is amazing. Really remarkable things happen when that many people are of one mind.

I hope (with all I am) that this case does not drag on that long. That would be very hard to accept. Maddie deserves peace and rest, one way or the other and I will fight for her.

Colomom I admire you for the way you can get your points across, I wish I was better at wording the things that I think, reading your post and your opinions are exactly how I am thinking, Calikid and moongoddess have that gift also.
Keep keeping us up to date, I just hope this does not drag on for years as JBR has. We all want the safe return of Madelaine and I truly hope that it will happen.
