You know, she may never be able to go "home". There has been a huge outcry regarding the "neglect" aspect of this case. There is a real possibility that they might be arrested if they try to go "home". Can you imagine being away from "home" for 50 days??? Wouldn't you miss your "stuff" (as George Carlin described)?? Wouldn't you want to get your 2 year olds settled back with their "stuff". Imagine being in Anaheim (after a trip to Disneyland), would you want to stay there? I swear, there is something really wrong with this whole thing, it stinks!

I hate having somebody "play" with my heart the way they have.....:furious:

Okay, I know I'm being facetious, but I think I know the McCanns' future if Madeleine is returned to them. I can easily see them permanently settling outside of the UK and soaking up the rich life with their three kids and a nanny for each one so KM and GM don't have to take care of them. She can be an embassador for missing children, and he can do whatever he wants.

Wake up world- these people are not in the running for sainthood or parents of the year.

McCanns not thinking of Malta

In a statement Maltese police said officers were checkling all the reported sightings, although all have "so far yielded a negative outcome.
"However, investigations are still actively in progress in order to shed more light upon the reported sightings."
As an additional measure, officers have been stationed at ports to check people leaving the country.

Balloons are released

A spokeswoman for Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, said they would not consider he alleged sightings in Malta until any are officially confirmed.
She added: "There are lots of reports. If they got that emotionally involved with each one, they wouldn't be able to concentrate on the campaign

Why did the spokeswoman need to add that comment??

I think you are spot on with the mass hysteria, although I do hope they find Madeleine there-alive and well. That would be wonderful.

Malta is a beautiful, small island nation with tourisim as their main economy. Just about everyone speaks British English (once part of the Empire). Maltese is a dying language.

With some many tourists going there this time of year--lots of Brits, I bet we may hear of lots of sightings. Very Catholic, family oriented , warm and wonderful people. If Madeleine is there, they will find her!!!!

I just can't imagine *an abductor* bringing this sweet little one to Malta.
It is a closed- in area, locals know each other, and LE will be looking out with a sharp eye. They have lots of extra *eyes* in terms of LE due to the recent problems with refugees entering illegally because of EU status.

Still hoping for the best for Madeleine.

Why cant they concentrate more on their missing daughter, these parents dont deserve children.

I spent the day with my youngest daughter today, she is 21 and lives away from home, I had a moment where I was staring at her and she asked me why, I told her I loved her and glad she was my daughter, if anything happened to her I would die. I dont understand why Madelaines parents are cold fish.

Cherish your children, they are a godsend.

Thats funny my youngest-daughter 19-spent the last couple of days with me, and we had some real 'girlie time' and extra cuddles-(she still sleeps with me when she stays over....) I love her to bits and I'm so glad she knows it. My son OTOH is a little less demonstative but allowed me to be a proud mom when he ran the London Marathon recently, I am trying to learn how to post a jpg link like you guys do........... Is that you Shazza? in the 'bunnykin' outfit?...........best not let Hugh Hefner catch sight of that
