Thats funny my youngest-daughter 19-spent the last couple of days with me, and we had some real 'girlie time' and extra cuddles-(she still sleeps with me when she stays over....) I love her to bits and I'm so glad she knows it. My son OTOH is a little less demonstative but allowed me to be a proud mom when he ran the London Marathon recently, I am trying to learn how to post a jpg link like you guys do........... Is that you Shazza? in the 'bunnykin' outfit?...........best not let Hugh Hefner catch sight of that

I wish MoonGoddess, the bunny girl is my youngest dd, the lady in red is my eldest dd, and then there is my hubby. The are my beautiful family whom I am very proud of.
I dont have sons only my two dd's, they are what keep me going, they are my being....I love them dearly. Thats what makes it so hard for me having the negative attitude towards the McCanns, it really grates on me how cold and selfish they seem.

Mike says it as he sees it, I am totally disgusted to read in his update that there will be wristbands and a CD with the McCanns favourite music for sale. How can someone profit from a little girls nightmare....oops thats right its the McCanns, non feeling, selfish, arrogant, attention seeking individuals that call themselves parents. What a joke.

No Petra they certainly are not, they are more interested in making sure that balloons are let go in 50 countries, more money and media wasted on rubbish that is not helping with the search of Madelaine.

Why cant they concentrate more on their missing daughter, these parents dont deserve children.

I spent the day with my youngest daughter today, she is 21 and lives away from home, I had a moment where I was staring at her and she asked me why, I told her I loved her and glad she was my daughter, if anything happened to her I would die. I dont understand why Madelaines parents are cold fish.

Cherish your children, they are a godsend.

I try very hard to make sure I do not stand in judgment in others based on my orientations. However, this time I just can not accept the behaviors of these parents as a healthy representation of a different orientation then my own. I am very very hands on , scientific and emotionally driven kind of person. I know if it was my child missing (G-d for bid) I would be searching 24/7. Everything for me would be about the search. Day and night I would be searching that resort and spreading out. When not searching I would be taking a daily visit or two to LE for briefings. PR stuff would be absolulty not on the rador for me. Relasing balloons, photo ops, hiring PR campaign managers all of it incomprehensible to me. Traveling away from the resort totally inconcievable to me. Posting a daily schedule on a blog that showed anything more then searched for my child all day would never happen. I have no right to stand in judgement of these people but irregardless I take a stand and that is that the behaviors of these parents are atrocious to me.

I said in an earlier post that I thought the McCanns would write a book, who would have thought wristbands and CD’s would come first. What will it be next, pretty Madeleine lookalike Dolls, Madeleine stationery, McCann family portrait charity Christmas cards…………. :sick: :sick:

God forgive me for saying this if I am wrong, but...

I now think they are not giving the Malta sightings any credence b/c they know it is not Madeleine. I think they know Madeleine is dead. And I think they know b/c they know exactly what happened to her.

I think all they care about now is playing "cover their arses" and seeing how much money they can raise for their "fund". And as someone said earlier, why not go home to the UK? Is it b/c most people in the UK feel about them now like many of us do? Is it b/c they know they might be prosecuted in the UK for child endangerment or neglect?

a qustion for our English posters. I do not want to falsly draw conclusions based on cultural differences. I know how the Mcann parents are behaving is absolulty bonkers to me and not at all how parents in the states who have been in this same horrible situation have reacted. Is it different in Great Britan? Is there a great need to get funds inorder to get any kind of search for your child done? Intellectually I do not believe this to be so but I want it to be clarified for myself that this is not just a cultrual difference, thanks.

Me too.

I've heard it suggested, and I can't forget it, that the sizeable donations and attention, at the very start, from big name celebrities, was a surprise for the McCann's, and the point of no return in ever finding out the whole truth from them.

I feel the same way. I thought they were responsable from the start. Even if they didn't directly kill her they still left her alone when they went out.

I'm not saying that I think it was planned...I don't think they thought, oh, let's kill Maddie...I think perhaps it was an accident...but they panicked. IF they are responsible other than leaving her alone, then that's what happened, IMO.

I don't know, how much of an accident is freaking out and not being able to control yourself, when as a parent you had just had enough? When you weren't going to halt YOUR plans and YOUR enjoyment for the tantrum and well being of a precious child? I'm fed up with the BS of the McCann's.

Their responses to the sightings and other "leads" is so abnormal!

14 sightings in Malta and they can not be bothered to do a personal consultation with the LE forces there, but they can visit the pope?

They now have a campaign manager....... why the h*ll don't they have time to do some actual searching and become a little more emotionally vested in this situation?:banghead:

I watched the video of that first interview and felt quite certain that Ms. McCann knows exactly what happened to her daughter. Now I think it is time for her to tell the rest of the world.

And the money making that is going on...... I have never seen anything like it! So many parents searching and worrying and trying to just make ends meet so that they can spend every spare cent on recovering their child and Team McCann comes out with a CD, wristband and maybe even a bookmarker!!!!!!!

Who gets that money when Madeleine is found? How is that trust set up? Will the extra money go to non-profits to help find other missing children or will it be used to support the McCann's for the rest of their lives? Maybe I should ask if it will be used to support the twins when the McCanns find their suntanned self's behind bars:behindbar

To the best of my knowledge this is unprecendented, although I have seen some arguments put forward on other forums re parents setting up funds, but absolutely nothing in comparison to the the Grand Scale of 'McCann inc.' truly nothing ever like it over here. Hollys (Holly&Jessica) dad wrote a book, but IMHO feel it was a 'need' on his part to get it all out so to speak, am not sure where the proceeds went, Jamies (Jamie Bulger) mum got a lot of 'offering' but to the best of my knowledge did not set up any 'fund', as I say this really is unprecedented especially by people who aren't short of a bob or two....am having palpitations as I write...these two really are making us Brits look like merciless, money grabbing parasites.....they are downright fricking shameful. Also I think they are unprecedented in the lack of emotion they have showed throughout this also.

I'm fed up too! It hurts my heart that the McCanns continue to play this game.

I'm quite certain we are going to find that Maddie was sedated so that she would not wake up and call for daddy, only unfortunately she was overdosed. Not knowing what to do and at risk for losing their licenses to practice medicine, having their whole world fall apart, they paniced, hid Madeleine somewhere, reported her missing and the circus began. Now they are in a position they feel they cannot extract themselves from. This of course is just my opinion, but it is an opinion based on everything we have heard and seen in the media since this baby "went missing."

They need to stop the charade now, own up to what happened, donate all the money to the nonprofits and that new telephone system Britian is trying to implement and let the world move on.

I have had a cuppa and feel a little bit calmer.

I will state for the record that I firmly believe that the McC's know the demise of Madeleine and everything that has followed has been a charade and this is why I get so :banghead: angry re all this. I dont believe they intended to harm their daughter I believe that it was an "accident" caused by their inability to cope coupled with anger. The charade I feel is to keep suspicion away from them and it appears to be working, who in their right mind could believe that this 'business venture' is a cover up? I have a problem with it myself... but whether I'm in a right state of mind or not, I believe it.
