Madeleine McCann 3 year old missing in Portugal - Part 6

The mother is a keen jogger, and him I believe, I'm sure they might have come across some remote spots during their stay.....surely they must have done a bit of sightseeing whilst the kids were dumped in the kids club?

I see your points but really how easy would it be to hide a body that well - did they have a car? If not then how did they transport it? It is possible that they disposed of the body however I don't think it's probable - even if they had been to Portugal a few times, it doesn't give you intimate knowledge of the area - especially not when you are staying in a tourist area. What time did they pick the kids up from the kids club? How long did they have between then and dinner for something to happen and a body to be so well hidden? Weren't search dogs brought in? Would they not have tracked Madelaine's scent to the car used to move her body if that? Also they would win Oscars for acting like nothing had happened when they went to dinner if they had just killed their daughter. I also have a hard time believing that if they were acting strangely during dinner, that none of their friends would have spoken up about it. That would mean an entire group of people who were willing to lie or look the other way. Again possible, but IMO unlikely.

I'm not excusing the McCann's behaviour for one second, I just don't think it's realistic that they could have killed and disposed of their daughter and all evidence of the crime in such a short timeframe - only my opinion of course!

Hi you guys,

daddys wallet has re-appeared:-

http://www.thisisleicestershire.co....tentPK=17690022&folderPk=77465&pNodeId=132393

The wallet turned up at her parents' Rothley home after it was first posted to their former house in Queniborough, the address for which was inside.

Only comment I'd like to make is "PR Stunt". Latest from the blog:-

Day 56 - 28/06/2007
Busy day- some very good phone calls with important child welfare organsations who we will be working closely with in the future. I have no doubt we will be able to sustain a high profile for Madeleines disappearance in the long term.

There has been a lot of media publicity over arrests in Spain tonight following information related to the investigation to find Madeleine. This appears to be a clear signal from European police forces that they are treating all information relating to Madeleines disappearance very seriously.

Can you imagine any "important child welfare organisations" using these two to promote welfare to children:banghead: ....defies belief it really does.:behindbar and just as well the police are treating all information re Madeleine seriously, cause he doesn't want to be bothered with it according to yesterdays blogs.

colomom: got some very much neglected household chores done which justifies me popping over for a while:blowkiss: now the grass is cut am hoping the neighbours might start saying 'good morning' again....lol

OMG that stupid wallet... and it hasn't even made the 'headline' news yet on Sky!

Very valid points Curves. I tend to agree with you as I think it is important to keep an open mind here. Every avenue needs to be explored.

I have a lot of emotion regarding this case because I recently stayed in a resort very similar to this ocean club. The layout of where I stayed is remarkablly like how the ocean club apartment and the restraunt tapas appear to be. There is no way my sister would have ever left her boys alone for one minute while we were away. Her boys are 10 and 8 and both have autistic spectrum disorders. Even if they were typical children they never would have been left alone. Between, my sister, bil my mom and Myself our first priority was always supervison of the boys. When the almost 11 year old saw the sign for preteen night and asked to go my sister was really uptight about it. She and her husband finally decided to let him go however they went over with him and ate dinner at the restraunt across the hall from the preteen night room and essentially spyed on him throughout the three hours. It is inconcievalbe to me that these parents comfortably abandoned there babies like they did. I do not believe there story of what happened. When are they going to do more searching??

Well now the the wallet's back they can turn their focus back to Maddie. They suck as parents. They left their kids. They are spending to much time out and about on their PR tour and not enough with the twins. yet I am drawn to this thread because I hope Maddie will be found. However I just get madder and madder at the parents. I was one of the first to suspect the parents. I had to explain my reasoning like the dyscrepancies in the parents story which still have not been cleared up. I think I am just very frustrated. If I could I would just shake the McCanns and say "What were/are you thinking?" On a happy note my hubby and I are off today to pick my son up from my parents. He has been an vacation with them since the 9th, I have been going out of my mind, and I knew he was safe and well cared for.

Hi Colomom,
Cant wait to see what you come up with today, I enjoy reading your posts. You make so much sense, sometimes I have trouble typing what Im thinking, its this thread that is draining my brain Im sure.
Praying for Madelaine everyday.

Hi Shazza,

You express yourself just fine dear heart :blowkiss:

I am also feeling the brain drain and my kids are not too happy with me these days. They don't say so directly but I can tell because they are after me all the time!

I am taking some extra time to love and cherish them. I honestly hope for some peace and quiet for all of us. I think we need to re-charge, for our health and our sanity.

I will be close by thought.....

Love you all!!

Aussie Mike needs to get on a plane and go to Portugal for a week. I would especially love his perspective after being there.

I was thinking about this case while I was trying to get to sleep last night and I really don't think the McCanns killed Madelaine. The reason for this is that they were in a strange country and did not know the surrounding areas -how on earth would they have managed to hide the body (sorry) so well? Madelaine would have been found by now. I would like to see a complete timeline of the day she went missing though to ensure they also did not have the time to hide a body.

This is does not take away from the fact that they left their kids alone in a strange country, nor how terrible it was to do that.

Hi Curves!

I'll throw this out for consideration. Take it for what it is worth.

I have been reading about the possibility of a connection between Murat and the McCanns. Pure speculation I believe. They may have known him before May 3rd. He ordered a car and told the rental agency that he needed it for the McCann's (so they could paste posters in the windows :waitasec:) and at the time of the rental he had two vehicles parked in his driveway. Then this latest "report" surfaces that he magically appeared in their apartment on the eveing Maddie dissapears? The timeline of all this is muddy but it is worth consideration. If anyone would know the area it would be Murat and if there was anybody who would help in a coverup it would be Murat and if the McCanns wanted somebody on the payroll.....

I know I can depend on you guys not to flame me but I can tell you that my butt is toasted from other forums!

Hope 'Bev' isn't lurking....she'll suspect we're forming a fan club:blushing:

Re: Murat. This is the only 'interview' he has done with the British Press, its a good article. My gut tells me he is not involved in this, I think he may just have happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, I do think he has something to hide but not re this....need to think on why he wanted a hire car though, I believe some 'freinds' of his have offered up a 'reason' but would need to trawl through some links:-

Madeleine: Is Robert Murat a suspect or a scapegoat?

interesting 'comments' also:blowkiss:

afterthought on the hire car, presumably the police have run forensics on it? as I gather the thought is he used it to transport her....or worse? Where did he keep her once he snatched her?....no dna at his place. If he used his own car to transport her-police did run checks on all his and his mothers cars....no dna....I dont think I'm making sense, think I'll leave it all alone tonight.....see how Ol' Gords getting on at No.10:blowkiss:

Morning Jdee:

I thought these photos from Paulo's blog were very telling: http://gazetadigitalmadeleinecase.blogspot.com/2007/05/some-pictures-from-praia-da-luz-crime.html

Especially the photo of the bedroom window. Maybe they could see the front door but no way could they see the window if someone was to break in that way. "A few yards"....

!

Praying for Maddie.

And also praying for a quiet, uneventful day for our UK friends!!

Looking at the map view there is no way in heck they could see any part of the apartment from the tapas restaurant.

CaliKid,

Interesting link. I think this is another strange story. Taking off on a hike of 4.3 miles in a country you are unfamilar with seems kind of risky especially for a 69 YO person. It also seem like an odd place to run into a kidnapper. I think I will scratch Portugal off as one of my vacation destinations ;)

I do find this part of the story very upsetting:

The Republican National Guard has combed the region systematically and searched every square foot using sniffer dogs and an infrared-equipped helicopter from Spain.

Did they do any of these types of searches when Madeleine first came up missing?? If so I didn't read about it. I will admit I didn't hear about Madeleine until she had been missing for about a week so I may of missed it. Now we know that Portugal does have the means and resources to do ground and air searches.

I dont think that would have made any difference twinkiesmom.

I was being facetious:crazy:

I wonder how close PdL is from where this man went missing. It would be nice to know that the infrared searches and sniffer dogs covered the same area that Madeleine is missing from.

My brain is working overtime, I wonder if this man was looking for Madelaine. I know it sounds far fetched, but is just coincidence that a man has gone missing in the same area as Madeleine.

That's a good thought~I hadn't thought of that but you are right if any one of us was in Portugal right now we you probably be searching.....unlike her "loving" parents:behindbar

OMG!!!

This has absolutely taken my breath away:

Latest Update - Gerry's Blog/Diary (http://findmadeleine.com/)
Day 57 - 29/06/2007

Early rise this morning dropping off and picking up good friends from the airport. One of our friends from Amsterdam, who has been actively campaigning to publicise Madeleines disappearance, dropped in to see us for a couple of hours since he is on a golfing trip in the Algarve.

Our friends brought back my wallet which had been returned, needless to say minus the Sterling, although all my cards and €30 were still in it! It is good to have my driving license back and one or two other important things.

I am crying and feel physically ill. I am absolutely in shock. How is such a thing possible? My first reaction? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 you Gerry McCann.
