What difference does it make? People are passing information on to the authorities in Malta, but the McCanns can't be bothered to take it seriously.

They know that their daughter isnt there, so why go. They also stated that they would go to the ends of the earth to find their daughter....thats another lie they have told. Cant the LE see these parents for what they are or are the posters here the only ones with brains.

Don't a lot of the nannies have to sign confidenality agreements as a condition of employment? That may be why we haven't heard from a nanny yet. What's the point of having kids if you're going to pay someone else to raise them? Just give them the money to stay home with their own kids so they don't have to leave them to take care of the kids you don't have the time for!!!

They probably do have to sign a confideniality agreement, but in a police investigation they would be bound by law to answer. The agreement would only come into play so they cant write a book or talk to the press for a payment.

Thanks for responding to my post.

Many of us put out long explanations on some of the earlier pages of this thread, but it's a lot of things. The McCanns have not acted right since Day 1.

I guess my biggest problem is, why would KM run back to the restaurant after Madeleine was apparently kidnapped and leave the twins alone in the room? Who is to say the kidnapper(s) didn't hear her coming and hide with her daughter, only to grab the other two once she left to alert her husband? As a mother, wouldn't you take Sean and Amelie with you to keep them safe?

Why are the McCanns carrying on as if they don't have a care in the world? It's become so much about giving them money, but they aren't spending that money on search parties or private investigators or fliers for people in Malta where their daughter has supposedly been seen by 20 people.

Why do they need a corporation to handle PR for the family, including a government liaison to work with the media? This is the same media who is falling all over themselves portraying the family as victims. And forgotten in the shuffle is a lost little girl who will probably never come home.

You made excellent points.
One thing that bothered me was the supposed fact that Maddy was in bed and laying between the twins. So why'd a kidnapper grab her and not one of the twins?

At this point I think I would like them better if they went home and back to work and made as normal a life for the twins as possible. They should allow the fund to be ran by a private company which would keep looking for Maddie but the twins need a normal home life they need to get used to their sister being gone. As sad as it may be I have very little hope for Maddie's safe return and the twins really need to be home where they feel safe secure and have all the memories of time spent with their sister. I think they need to end the vacation and go back to their lives. I am not saying give up on the search but all the parents are doing is pi**ing off a lot of people. Instead of spending all to little time looking for Maddie they could spend their time helping people get well. I'm sure their patients would love for them to get back to work.

We had a nanny and it never occured to me that I would need her to sign a confidentiality agreement. What could she learn that people would find scandalous? nothing.

The McCanns nanny would be able to shed some light on some of the personal aspects of their lives, which you might not think is important or anyone elses business, but you can pick up on things from their personality, how they related to their children and each other, if she heard or seen anything unusual in relation to their everyday lives. Phone calls in and out of their home, there is a great many things that could help the police to clear them of any involvement in Madelaines disappearance.
But sadly I think they have something to do with their daughters disappearance, everything has to be checked even the parents.

Look at the McCanns' behavior during their vacation. The children were in child-care all day, every day and left alone at night so she and GM could go out and play. Right on CaliKid, that is why the parents should be checked out thoroughly by the LE. They are involved in this somehow.

Daily "24 Horas": “Witness saw Murat at Madeleine's room in the night of the kidnapping”

According to Portuguese daily “24 Horas”, a witness informed Police he saw Murat inside Madeleine's room, at the night of May 3, when she disappeared. The newspaper has just an international online edition, which isn't updated yet (June 28, 01:27 am). The information was released by SIC Notícias, in a preview of Portuguese Press front page news for today, May 28, around 01:03am.

Funny how the spotlight gets turned back on Murat when things start getting a bit awkward for the McC's? Wonder if the 'witness' happened to be a close associate of the Mc'C's?

I think they don't want to see him cuz they think he is a freak (and he may very well be) and they know what really happened to Madeleine, and it has nothing to do with the pedophile network. I mean if the LE was willing to meet with him, why would they refuse?

There was a girl and her name escapes me but she vanished back in the 70's and her mother went to the ends of the earth to try and find her... she had to frequent sleezy motorcycle bars and meet unsavory people... HEY! that IS part of it!
That girl was never found and her mother died a few years ago having never found her but she NEVER gave up lookin and to my knowledge she never sold one single concert ticket......
