I tend to feel that when parents are educated and affluent (or at least
middle class) that they would not harm their own child.
But then, I am a FIRM believer in Ramsey guilt, so I guess that theory
about educated/wealthy parents goes down the rain.

There is a huge difference between delibertly harming a child and causing harm to a child due to neglect or poor judgment. There is nothing that leeds me to believe these parents delibertly caused harm to maddie but I think they may be respondible for accidently killing her.

I wanted to comment on when G went back the first time to his hometown. Did anybody else see it when he walked arournd the memorial set up for Madeleine with all the yellow ribbons and toys and flowers? I thought he acted uncomfortable walking around seeming to read cards and looks at things. It could have been that he knew he had the cameras on him but I remember at the time thinking.. he is acting so odd. Not like a father who has just lost their child. And then soon after he requested all that taken down. I thought that odd too. Like lets get this sh$t out of here... is the way it came across to me. The whole thing bugged me. Why move it at all? Was it hurting anybody? I think if anything it gave comfort to those that put the things there.... But no Mr. M had to have it all stripped away...

Wow Jdee, that is strange. Maybe a bit of guilt?

I haven't posted on this thread in a long time but when I started reading again and saw that focus has been turned to the parents, I was relieved.

That is why I stopped posting previously. I have never been able to get over the fact that the very first night GM came out of the apartment yelling that "they have taken her" to her husband. That never worked for me as your first response to your child being gone out of bed and missing. Plus she ran out of the apartment leaving the twins behind alone again without seeming to care they could still be in danger. Of all the things that have happened in this case I've never been able to get past those two things.

I agree EZRA, it stunk of a conspiracy, a plan, a plot. And it just gets worse and worse.

I remember that case well, I live about 15 minutes from that house. I remember the theory that Patsy lost her mind, a bedwetting incident perhaps, and badly injured Jon Benet. It was horrifying to think what they might have done....ugh. I always thought that to parade your child around in beauty pagents was to view her as a possession.

I remember feeling regret for my gut instinct when they arrested that wack job in California. Now I have just resigned myself to never knowing unless Daddy gets right with God on his deathbed.

I agree that wealth and education does not come into play when you are dealing with a psychopath.

Talk about conspiracy theory. Seems like a bit of a stretch but there are some suggestions that tie into my theories. This theory even got media coverage:

I also read another blog: http://mara-gamiel.blogspot.com/search/label/Madeleine%20McCann that kind of fits into the Hoax theory. Especially about her being held somewhere and protected. This blog talks about the media and how they are being manipulated.

While I still feel strongly about her accidental death, part of me would like to see her returned safe and unharmed, just cuz I love that bitty little girl. Can you imagine the backlash if it is found that the McCanns have direct involvement, one way or the other? It will change the world (IMHO).

Day 58 - 30/06/2007

Family day spent with Sean, Amelie, our friends and their kids. Attended mass this evening which was conducted in English with prayers for Madeleine.

We have confirmed our new accommodation and will be moving in the next few days. We seem to have acquired a lot more stuff, partucularly the twins with lots of well wishers sending them toys, We will be staying on Portugsl for thr immrdiste future and are determined to come home with Madeleine.

Staying in the Algarve also makes it easier to stay in touch with the Portuguese polce, this is particularly important with the investigation being so active. We have regular meetings and calls to keep abreatst of developmennts

WOW--how odd---the last link you posted is where I was absorbed in reading. Been over 20 plus yrs that I looked at a Tarot Card--and I forgot about all those different interpertations of the cards by the reader. Do you think she is credible?? I have no idea--makes for a lovely story though.

Isn't that amazing??? I saw your reply and your reference to a tarot reader and I was confused. Now I understand. I can't remember how I found that site...

The reader is actually a man (look on the right, at the top, under Contributors) his name is Matthew James. Funny, I thought it was written by a woman when I first started reading it too. Can you see the similarities with his readings and the "Hoax" theory? The manipulation of the media, the people protecting Maddy, the moving around. Keep in mind that there are many different ways all of this could be interpreted. Like on a spiritual level?? The afterlife?? I just try to read everything I can and with a wide open mind (and heart) then I pray for understanding.

I really have a sense of this whole thing being so much bigger than my understanding.

Murat and the car?? Me too! I thought they are connected (Murat and the McCanns) but I am not sure how.

Credible? Yes, I think this is honestly the sense that Matthew James has about the whole sad affair. Who knows? He may be right on. For Maddie's sake, I will hope so. But, past experiences tell me that she is not with us. I truly hope I am wrong. We can always hope.

I think most of us on this earth are honest (basically) and are connected to each other. Then there are those who for whatever reason have gone over to the dark side (some more than others). Those people are not connected to the universe and operate in a different consciousness. We (who are connected) can sense that abnormality and our "gut" will warn us. I feel that about Gerry McCann, not so much with Kate, she feels like a victim.

After reading many posts, the general concensus seems to be that the parents are somehow involved in her abduction.
My question is this: WHY would two affluent parents be interested in
selling" their daughter to a pedophile?

I could understand if they were poor, but they have plenty of money....they're both doctors.

I believe that they displayed HORRIBLY bad judgement in leaving three
pre-school children alone in a hotel room while they went out socializing,
but can someone enlighten me as to why these people would have any reason
to sell their child?

For now, I will leave it at that but to say that until and unless additional facts emerge that implicate them -- I've got to give them the grace I'd hope for were I in their situation. Others have handled the world's attention and the media scrutiny better than they -- but I cannot imagine a more difficult time to try to be, do and say what everyone thought appropriate.

More than anything -- hoping this little girl is found, safe, alive, and soon.

I had another thought whilst reading another thread, ever heard of "The Secret", a book on the Law of Attraction. Well somehow I think this applies to GM, everything is about him, not Madelaine or the rest of the family. If you truly believe.... you attract that belief to you. So GM is attracting attention to himself to take the attraction away from Madelaine and her whereabouts. Why would you do this.....because you are guilty of something and trying to cover it up.

My mind is running away from me, this case does that to you.

Not in my view. This thread has become twisted because some posters choose to blame the parents even though the police are completely satisfied that Madelaine's parents had "Nothing" to do with her abduction. Shazza you may believe you know better than the police but I don't. I pray she is soon reunited with them soon.

I definitely dont know more than the police, but I think we have to agree to disagree, but we do have one thing in common, the safe return of Madelaine. There is more to these parents than meets the eye, of that I am sure.

We're definately not on the same page as far as the parents are concerned. I believe them to be loving parents who are going through every parents worst nightmare. None of us are perfect and they certainly didn't deserve to have their child stolen. But yes Shazza we are on the same page as far as Madeleine is concerned and just want her safely home. Please God soon.
