Latest Update - Gerry's Blog/Diary

Day 95 - 06/08/2007

Today was again very busy. Lots of e-mails and telephone calls to family and friends who have been involved in the campaign to find Madeleine. I went to a large office store in Portimao to buy a new printer and ink, both of which were badly needed after all the posters we produced this last week.

There has been lots of media attention on the latest police searches. We are pleased that the investigation remains so active and we are cooperating fully with the Portuguese and British police, as we have done since day 1. We continue to hope and pray daily for that vital breakthrough or sighting that will lets us be reunited as a family.

Reads: We are innocent.

I just read about the twins and I just know that tomorrow all heck is going to break loose. OMG...this is just awful. I am afraid of what my emotional reaction will be...

Supposedly there is still a blackout on most of this news in the UK. But I guess some of the British reporters are beginning to filter into Portugal, sensing a huge story. I just don't know what to think.

Calikid, this is heart wrenching, I personally will never read another thread like this, I will be sticking to the Jury room or somewhere where I will not hear of any atrocities against children, this has affected me deeply and I cannot go through this again.

I have met some terrific posters here, and hope that we stay in contact on other threads, so when this is over I will not be coming back to missing threads.

Shazza,

I too, would like to tell you that I have appreciated your input and especially your steadfast dedication to Maddie. Your spirit has been a blessing to us all and you would be greatly missed from a thread discussing a missing child. Please take time when it is over to grieve and then consider contributing in the future.

As for me, when this is over I am SO done!

For all of you :blowkiss:

Oh Shazza, i do hope you change your mind. This was one of the most heated threads on WS- the others are less emotionally draining.

Calikid and Colomom, you guys are intuitive and have the knack for this sort of thing, and I appreciate your kind words, whatever the outcome of this, which is going to be tragic either way, if she does come home, how traumatised will she be, and then if she has passed, god bless her soul.
But I am such a sook and over sentimental, that it does affect my real life, I dont think I could handle anything like this again, not for a while anyway. I am very fortunate to have met kind hearted souls like you, after this is over if I can I will continue to visit threads like this, will just have to wait and see.
Prayers to a sweet sweet girl, Madelaine:blowkiss:

By the way all....

I have been meaning to tell you that I have been in constant touch with MoonGoddess and she, being the sensitive soul that she is, she has found it very difficult to maintain a vigil on all the forums discussing this case.

She has posted on the Mirror forums and we have had alot of phone conversations. She is well and wants me to send to you her greetings and love for all of you.

She is right here with us, in spirit, and I would not be suprised if she makes an appearance as this all winds down.

So from MoonGoddess to all of you....:blowkiss:

You don't think I get weepy? Madeleine's disappearance has grieved my spirit, and I so wish I could go to Portugal and help get this solved. My family thinks I'm nuts. I spend too much time on the computer, etc. etc. And don't think you aren't a good sleuth too, Shazza, because you are.

Don't say that, Shazza. I'll miss your common sense here.

Look a third down the page. This is a forum threat, not a verbatim reputable source, but someone's contact in Portugal is saying that arrangements are being made for the McCanns to turn over the twins to care in the UK.

This makes me think, IMO, that the McCanns realize things are about to get very hairy for them and that they could be arrested in Portugal...

As the Aussies say..."I think the chit is going to hit the fan".
:blowkiss: to MoonGoddess.

Can you believe that the pro-McCann boards are denying the presence of blood or a dead body in the apartment.

:woohoo: colomom, say hi to MoonGoddess for me.

I can believe it...there's also some posters here who have been nonstop defending the McCanns who are strangely silent now.

I am still willing to eat humble pie, would love to be proven wrong.

Me, too, Shaz...me, TOO. I wish to God that little girl in Belgium would turn out to be Maddie....

I had all my hopes riding that it was Madelaine in Belgium, we would have heard by now if it was.

It doesn't take this long for a DNA test, at least one to rule out one child from another.

Its been niggling me ever since I read about the blood in the apartment, I was thinking more on the lines of an accidental sedation overdose, where there would have been no blood, if this is her blood and they do find actual evidence that the sniffer dogs are right that there was a dead body in that room I dread to think what went on in that room.

EXACTLY, Shazza....me, too. :( If she shed blood, then something violent probably happened, whether it was accidental or not.
