Give me a slice of that englishleigh Some are saying on the mirror forums that it is old news.I have never seen it before.Does it seem like an old story to someone here??

There have been stories of supposed "Maddie sightings" but I've never heard the added info of a man taking pictures of someone's daughter and that girl's father I.D.'ing the picture-taker as the man possibly seen with the Maddie lookalike...I just hope this pans out. The parents being whisked away by police may add hope to this, or they just may be being picked up for more questioning and it may have nothing to do with this latest news. I hope it all means something and the presser will be a very positive one!!

Perhaps 2:30 or 3:30 pm? It will be earlier here than there. I know the UK is 5 hours ahead of the East Coast, but not sure about Portugal.


ETA: It's now 6:23 pm in Lisbon...if the whole country is on the same time, then that's in just a few minutes!!!!!

First yes, the woman and the two men in the car with British plates is old news. That was captured and reported on days after the dissapearance.

It is new to hear that there might be a new development with this though.

I remember posting way back that I thought it was weird that if they were kidnappers that they would take the little girl out of the car and into the station (to be filmed) just hours after kidnapping her?!?! Especially since she could have stayed in the car with one of the adults....

Lets see what the news conference brings....

Wouldn't it be wonderful if they have actually found her!!!!! Lots of praying from me this afternoon. I will be one of the first to apologize on webslueths for being hard on her parents if she is actually found with someone else. That said I still believe they bear a huge responsibility for what happened.

you know this just got me to thinking.. HAS Kate (or G for that matter) EVER sent their child a message? If not why not? I think it is very telling if they have not. I can't think of a case where the parent of the missing child did not 'talk' to the missing child through the media OR post letters to him or her on their website for them in hopes they will read it. Madeleine is probably too young to read a note on a website but what about a spoken message from her parents through the media when they do those interviews? WHY do they say nothing to her? WHAT do they KNOW!

The only thing that I've ever heard Kate say is "Madeleine knows we love her". Even early on, she spoke to the kidnapper but never directly to her daughter. That just seems so suspicious.

Ok.. I tried to post a quote but it vanished so maybe I wasn't supposed to so will try to just post what I read.. I read in another place that some posters had blown up some pictures of Madeleine that did show her wearing makeup. We were just talking about that yesterday.. And also that on her passport is doesn't mention the 'keyhole' in her eye but rather various colors... so what would the reason be to add the wierd Keyhole IF it was not really there?
