these dogs were the ones sniffing the ground, not sniffing the air.. they sniff the body particulars that are heavier than air which fall to the bottom, therefore to the ground

Yes, so therefore the person can be carried and still leave a scent trail

None of the above supports the statement Madeleine was alive and walking that route.

None of the above supports that it was indeed Madeline's towel.

Three children shared one toothbrush but each used their own towel?

Not buying it.

I am not selling anything to you. And no intention of selling.
My own investigations are mainly for my own logical understanding.
For me personally this is the most exciting part of the files. For me the freshest route of Madeleine was walking to that parking area.
How and why I don't know. And I am not going to persuade anyone into thinking 'my way' .. I have no such mission.
For me this proof is enough to believe Madeleine was alive when she left that apartment.

Didn't Gerry claim to have to return home to retrieve something that would only contain Madeleines DNA. Because, he said, the children shared a toothbrush, shared cloths and shared shoes.
how am I, or anyone else, to be sure the towel supplied to the dogs was solely used my Madeleine?
???

I'm curious as to why Madeleine's pillowcase or sheet she was allegedly sleeping on wasn't given to the dogs.

And you tend to believe the other two year old siblings were walking to a car park?

It is your right what to believe, I have nothing to say to that except that Madeleine was holding that blanket. You might say that Madeleine was not at all in that bed.. then at that point it all turns into a conspiracy ..so I stop here.. It is my opinion what I said and in my own mind I know why I think that way.. it is not that I was listening to some theory from someone and I want so badly to be a part of some group of such and such believers. I don't care about groupings on internet!

I believe feet on the ground aren't a requirement for a scent trail. Those odors & scent particulates are falling to the ground regardless if the person is walking or if the person is being carried.
I'm also saying, I can not be sure what the McCanns provided as a scent article belonged to Madeleine solely considering that they claim the children shared everything right down to a single toothbrush.

I assure you my opinions are solely my own. sometimes they are in opposition to the vast majority. Just search the other topics I tend to post on.

I do not believe she made it to bed that night. But there has to be reason why the sheet and pillowcase weren't used. And that seems odd to me.

Very interesting......BLOWS OUT THE TRACTOR MAN THEORY....

Maddie case: PJ has already carried out the first requests of the rogatory letter asked by the English

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2013/10/maddie-case-pj-has-already-carried-out.html

verything that has come out in Correio da Manhã, and was today echoed in the UK media with extras that do not appear in the original article, is part of the rogatory letter requests sent by the English police, being carried out by a six man team of the PJ in Faro, who are working exclusively within the scope of that rogatory letter and nothing else.

If Correio da Manhã was correct with the articles that they have published that means that even the search for Maddie's body, the questioning of witnesses, the paedophiles lead, the gipsy lead, the dead Ocean Club worker lead who was revealed today has being an immigrant from Cape Verde - and who for obvious reasons looks nothing like the e-fit suppressed by the McCanns in 2008, the triangulation of cell phones and phone masts and the reconstitution are all part of those requests made by the English authorities to the Portuguese.

A Judiciary Police team has not yet been constituted to work in the process since it was reopened by the Public Ministry, that is, the official PJ investigation to the Maddie case has not yet been resumed.

Also I have just read that the widow has freaked out and is going to sue THE people who have published about her husband etc.

Dogs track walking humans

Quote:
TRAILING DOGS

The trailing dog is often referred to as a "tracking" dog, although "tracking" and "trailing" are not the same to the purist. The trailing dog is directed to find a specific person by following minute particles of human tissue or skin cells cast off by the person as he or she travels. These heavier-than-air particles, which contain this person's scent, will normally be close to the ground or on nearby foliage, so the trailing dog will frequently have its "nose the ground," unlike the air scent dog.

A Bloodhound is typically trained for scent discrimination. Each dog is usually worked in a harness, on a leash, and given an uncontaminated scent article (such as a piece of clothing) belonging to the missing person. The dog follows that scent and no other. At times, the dog may track, following the person's footsteps, or air scent, and home in on the subject's scent.

BBM.
Even children being carried cast off minute particles and skin cells so I'm not sure why the dog would need them to walk in order to track the scent. It's normally not the skin that is in contact with the ground anyway unless the walker is barefoot.

Also, if the dogs can follow air scent...

Eta: never mind, Linda posted this already.

Yes i read that and thought how strange, surely she would have something exclusively hers for DNA....

A towel/blanket would be contaminated by other scent. You have to use an article solely from the person you are looking for like the clothes that she was wearing during the day for example would be the best to get a good scent or even the cuddle cat unless amelie had taken it back again....

Its all very odd that about the DNA, i never could understand it.

I don't believe it about them sharing a toothbrush. Surely doctors wouldn't do that.

Whatever happened to accurately reporting the news????

We're talking about people under stress and very emotional. The towel might have been the first thing that came to mind. Unless the police asked for bedding and they refused to give it.

It's just another of those things that make me very suspicious!

It's a process.. It's discussed. The handler would have asked for likely sources and suggested possibilities and asked questions. IMO

I can see how it might be easier for very young children just to use the same brush until they're older.

Why didn't they use "cuddle cat"?

Really? I never heard children sharing the same tooth brush.

Easier, maybe, but stupid and neglectful. I'm sure they could afford a toothbrush for each of their three children. A shared toothbrush is a source of infection and if one of them has got the caries bacteria the rest of them will too. Two doctors know better.

I just wanted to say, I appreciate you providing links, I do read them and I do consider your point view and theories, I just can't make them work for me.
I realize I have a bias and I find the McCanns less than truthful. I can't not consider them a reliable source and put stock in what they put forth. It's so outside of normal IMO I simply can not contort myself into a pretzel and excuse away their behavior.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to say, I'm not here to convince you either. I have learned several things from reading your posts and I appreciate them. We may not agree, but I think the process of disagreeing respectfully is equally important if one of us learns something. So thank you.
