Madeleine McCann General Discussion Thread No. 19

Hi Claycat. Welcome to WS. Your "visions" were interesting to read.

You see, my take on this "Vision" would be much different...I would take it to mean that Madeleine died in the early morning, (the rooster crows at dawn) and that it was by the hands of her father, (hearts/cardiologist).

Michael Pardue grew up in a dysfunctional home, and his beloved mother died in his arms, after his drunken father shot her in the heart in a rage...(I would take this to mean that Madeleine died as a result of one raging drunk parent, while the other parent held her while she died...) Michael Prudue apparently is innocent of the crimes charged against him, but is still incarcerated because he escaped from prison 3 times...therefore, innocent of one crime, but guilty of another...(I would take this to mean, that the parent who did not kill Madeleine is innocent of murder, but guilty of a cover up) I'm not a physic...but I read a lot. :)

Wow IW....impressive, seriously.

Hi Claycat,

Welcome. I also have never thought that the McCanns were guilty of deliberate murder of Maddie. Instead I have always believed that she was the victim of an accident. Like IW said above, in a fit of anger, a lashing out that went horribly wrong.

I do not know if I would still feel this so strongly if there had not been the scent of death and blood detected by two of the finest sniffer dogs in the world. And I believe that the blood/bodily fluids have indeed, been confirmed as having come from Maddie. I think the evidence (even if circumstantial or not officially acknowledged) is very convincing.

And, by the way, due to the negligent act of leaving 3 babies alone in an apartment, in a foreign country, with the door unlocked, in my eyes, they are responsible for anything that may have happened to her. Period.

They have yet to admit that responsibility.

Your input is valued and appreciated, please post again.

Time will tell , time will tell colomon

The only thing I will say is that I have not seen any official statement from the FCC , or the PJ , or the Leceister Police to say that they have found Maddy;s blood in the hire vehicle - nada - just reports in the press , mainly quoting Portugese press reporting unnamed individuals in the PJ

It could be true - and in one way I hope maybe they have the 100% evidence so they can get this case closed

Agreed Gord, 100% agreed.

Interesting! I like the way you looked at the symbolism rather than the concrete/immediate answer.

I have some dreams that are bothering me, are you free Tuesdays at 4....just kidding, of course.

Really, I think you make some excellent points in that what we see/think is not always the immediate or obvious.

IW - I'm with Texana :) Maybe you could give me a hand Tuesday at 6:00.

And if I win the lottery, after I send Texana her cut, I'll send you some too, okay?

MADELEINE McCann’s grandfather says: “There has been so much that has been said and written, much of it untrue and hurtful, but so often it seems to me as if the only really important person in all this has been forgotten – and that’s Madeleine.

Brian says he was heartened to read an opinion piece which appeared in the leading Lisbon newspaper Diaro de Noticias. It was written by journalist João Miguel Tavares and published on December 11.
The columnist talked of the need for the media in Portugal to “make a serious analysis of its role in the tragedy and activate mechanisms to stop it from behaving again as a ping-pong table throwing too many lies and too little information”.

I absolutely agree with the Lisbon journalist. There has been too much information bandied about and then retracted, only to surface again! It's hard to know what is true in this case.

That said, the McCanns have done plenty to turn me off, just from reading their own words and watching how things develop. It's a fact that they have marketed Maddie like a commodity, selling posters and other paraphenalia. That sickens me. As someone pointed out, even the Ramseys didn't stoop that low.

They left their two twin babies while they did a publicity tour. Weird. They've begged for money and then paid their mortgage with it. Distasteful.

I could go on. The McCanns are their own worst enemies.

And in all this, I keep coming back to the recurring news items of Maddie's DNA in that rental car and the highly trained dogs smelling corpse on Kate, etc....I'm believing those facts and that seals it for me. While I understand Maddie's death may well have been a tragic accident, the McCanns behavior since that night has been dispicable, when you consider them as prime suspects in what happened.

So, how about this, McCanns? Why don't you use the power of the media to tell the world you did something HIGHLY irresponsible (not to mention criminal) in leaving your daughter alone night after night so you could have your adult time? How about putting some of those millions you've begged for into organizations that support parenting classes so no other mom and dad will make such stupid decisions regarding the welfare of the children who are trusting in them as protectors and guardians?

I respect your right to try to justify the McCanns behavior, April. But, I'm an intelligent human being who has been on this planet a good, long time and I have seen and heard enough to come to the conclusion that the McCanns are hardly great candidates for being held up as paragons of parenting.

I disagree that Madeleine has been forgotten. Every time there has been a possible "sighting" of the child, the world media has jumped on that. Every time there has been an interview or documentary, people have taken time to watch and discuss. Not a day goes by when there isn't a story in the media somewhere about this child, unlike many children who go missing and abandoned by the media.

So I'm not sure how else the world can prove they haven't forgotten Madeleine. I don't think anyone has.

None of us here forget for one minute that a child is missing or dead, or we wouldn't be here.

And I respectfully disagree with that as the focus has not been on finding Madeleine for a long long time. I don't believe the PLE are searching for her.
Reports of possible sightings are routinely rubbished.

IMO Madeleine would no longer be in the news if it wasn't for the entertainment value "sport" of attacks on her parents.
Their friends, family members, witnesses who support their evidence as to what happened. Anyone employed by them to try to find Madeleine. All are ridiculed or accused of being part of a conspiracy.
And all without evidence against them.
No sadly Madeleine is definately no longer the focus.

Yep, starting from the parents, the day they left her alone to get a few drinks.

I agree that the main focus is parent-centered and that finding Madeline has become secondary. Who, besides the hired group is really looking? Have we heard of organized searches and where are searchers looking? Who is putting up posters?

Predictable Sleuthmom. Though I agree the children shouldn't have been left alone. It doesn't excuse the cruel "sport" IMO.

Well not the PLE IMO.
It also takes money and lots of it to hire proffesionals. Its naive to think you can just run around blindly searching. Especially in a foreign country where you don't even speak the language.

We get back to the money....McCanns have money, and lots of it , donated to them by generous people to find Madeleine. Why are they paying a spokes person oodles of cash, instead of ORGINIZING search teams? The money they have paid CM would have gone a long way, if they had used it for a search, rather than a talk box.

The McCanns are not paying Clarence Mitchell. His salary is being paid by Brian Kennedy a Liverpool business man.

They are paying professionals to search outside Portugal for Madeleine. The PLE will not allow them to send searchers into Portugal.

I'd like to know what the journalist considers a tragedy. The tragedy is Madeline disappearing and whatever happened to her and not what the media is reporting.

Everything about this case is tragic txsvicki. So it was refreshing to read that a Portuguese journalist is troubled by the part his country's press are playing in the rampant rumours and lies about the McCanns. Good for him for being brave enough to question it.

Colomom - I actually find the poem offensive. While I understand what it is saying, I have a hard time with the writing of such "prose" regarding this very serious situation. I'm sure the composer just meant to lighten the mood, but I think it is very sad that Maddie's disappearance has resulted in the writing of mean "poetry" regarding her parents.

I'm not asking you to remove it or anything, just releasing some emotion.

Hey Salem,

I will remove it simply because it offends you. I was actually impressed with the prose, the putting together of a poem. I honestly never felt it as disrespectful. Please accept my sincere apologies if I offended you. Totally not my intention.
