Thanks Colomom. That child looks entirely too tall to be Madeleine. According to K&G, Madeleines height was extreamly short, (I think 43 CM is what they told police). This girl is at least 60 cm judging from the other land markers and the woman holding her hand.

She has had over a year to grow!

That's a valid point Claycat - as more and more time passes, Maddie will change in appearance drastically and if she is out there, she probably will never be found.

I highly suspect that this little girl is not Maddie. I think it was Texana or Sleuthmom that pointed out that the woman looked pregnant. My guess is that this is her daughter and she has another child on the way. I suppose it is not impossible, but for some reason, I can not wrap my head around a pregnant woman being part of a pedo ring or just kidnapping a child when it is quite obvious she can have children of her own.

If this is not Maddie - I would imagine the woman will come forward right away once she sees herself on the news.

(Not what you quoted) I didn't do anything except to reply that it is very, VERY creepy that you admit to believing everything the McCanns say, (as Tony pointed out in his post to which you eagerly agreed too). I couldn't highlight or enlarge to what I was responding to because I have been warned by you not to alter your posts anyway. Don't you remember? Once I enlarged some print in one of your posts to empathize what I was responding to and you became very angry. You asked me not to ever alter your posts in anyway, I then apologized for something that isn't against the TOS and I said I wouldn't do it again. You then accused me of doing it again when I posted a comment from a link you posted. Now you are accusing me of doing God knows what to yet another post. Get a grip woman.

Chances are it isn't her, but you never can tell. I still have hope that she is out there. I know there are a lot of children being kidnapped for illegal adoptions now, too. If she is still alive, I hope that is the case.

the whole world is aware of Madeleine, I very much doubt that anyone would be so silly as to parade her in full view like that! they would have dyed her hair at least.

Ohhhhh - ThoughtFox - I'm sorry I got it wrong. It was a very good observation! I have watched the video about 4 time now, and I think you are "spot on" as the Aussies say (or is that the English?). The woman definitely looks pregnant.

I hope she contacts authorities right away so that her family's life is not turned upside down by this!

b) conceding that they were not

d) saying they left it unlocked

e) saying they would take a lie detector test
f) saying they wouldn't

g) saying Cuddle Cat was left on a high shelf or ledge
h) saying Cuddle Cat was left on the bed

i) saying they would never leave Portugal without Madeleine
j) saying they would leave without Madeleine

k) claiming they had to 'steel themsleves' before the Esat Midlands 'one year anniversary' interview
l) laughing and joking with each other as soon as the interview was over

The Ramseys were not given access to everything the Boulder police had. There is no law requiring American LE to do so until trial, in which case it goes to the defense lawyers.

The Ramseys were given what some would call favorable treatment by Boulder police.

As for Madeleine growing that much in a year: If you have a petite child, they don't have huge growth spurts in a year. They might when they approach adolescence and pre-puberty, but they don't go from petite toddlers to above average kindergarteners. The growth curve stays consistent and the percentiles for the heighth/weight (how they compare to other children) stay consistent, or there's some medical reason for concern.

A "growth spurt" for a four year old is going from a size 4 to a size 6, not a a size 8 (american sizes for children's clothing.)

This child looks both too young and too tall, in the video.

These are the two posts in question. The difference that I see are the words "Your right!!" being bolded in IW's "quote" but not in April's original post.

No lie!! All this shows is that in the initial panic of finding their child was missing they were trying to understand what and how it had happened...Perfectly natural!!
And no different than any other panicked parents IMO.

They took the advice of their lawyers which they were entitled to do..and a change of mind isn't always a lie!! As in this case IMO

When they said they wouldn't leave Portugal they meant it!!
They stayed for more than three months...Not the behaviour of parents who were "guilty" IMO

In the mean while, I still think it is VERY, VERY strange that April openly and enthusiastically agrees that she believes EVERYTHING the McCanns say. It's creepy that a person would have so much faith, devotion and adoration in total strangers in a foreign country. It goes against all laws of human nature. CREEPY.
