is it possible CB had lost all his cars by 2018.

I am trying to find the German article about it,where the Dutch SMS quoted it from or getting their source of writing.
I do think he travelled by his own van. Bus =van, so he ended up in Italy driving a van.
If he took the bus, it mainly means public transportation in NL. Guess that is not his style. He tried to shake the Dutch LE off, by using public transportation, it states in the article, seems it worked.

I think it’s just because we don’t use umlaut in English but could be wrong lol

I noticed 2 other coincidences....MW used to have a shop selling German foodstuffs which may possibly have brought her into contact with CB...and there is a report from someone called Alison to say that when her boyfriend Cristian stayed with SM he noticed there was on SMs computer...

Thanks Apr! This is what I was looking to check out. Only her first name is listed and surname is redacted, RM states she was selling a house the year previously but he had no contact with her.

Has anyone tried searching for earlier videos of the Dragon Festival in Orgiva? I found a better produced one from 2002 which conveys the atmosphere of the event. If Christian was in Portugal in 1995 then a good chance he was there in 2002. It seems geared to entertainment for the kids in the day, puppets and circus acts with the more serious music, drinking etc in the evening. There is even an exercise ball and whip which reminded me somewhat of the picture everyone keeps discussiong in detail. The link is here:

Question: in the article I cited above (pls don't make me go find the link again... O_O)... it is reported that the burglars found the blacked out googles they had observed in the video of the rape in CB's bedroom.

Uhmmm.... so he took them back after he attacked someone? Am I to assume he removed them (or had her remove them) from her face before he left and took them with him? Ok, so what became of the goggles then? Or... if he didn't take the goggle with him when he left.. are we to assume then that he had another blackened out pair hanging around in his room?

Maybe to reuse them? Otherwise have to keep blackening out goggles each time?

Regarding Mrs reporting that Madeleine had cried on the May 1. I saw a Portuguese news where Mrs Fenn said she never reported something like that to police. She did not even know the McCanns were there. How is this possible?

Well, if he reused them, I'd want to test them forensically if I could get my hands on them... b/c they might... contain a smidge of DNA from whoever had to wear them? Perhaps he wasn't super good about cleaning each nook and cranny?

The witness told the court that he stole the camera from his friend's house in Praia da Luz in 2006 and that it showed an older woman being tied up, beaten and raped.

In her statement the woman said she was beaten with a metal pole.

So that's possibly 13 years that the video existed before the 'friend' came forward with the info? Is that right?
So, where was the video all that time? Did the friend keep it for 13 years before even discovering the footage, or did they view it years ago, then go to the Police 13 years later?

That's a long time to keep one camera imo, unless you've got a load of stuff in storage belonging to CB.
If the person saw the footage in 2006, why was that info not passed on for such a long time?

We need to bear in mind that a lot of these ‘friends’ are also criminals, albeit maybe low level, who would be reluctant to approach LE. At the time self preservation would likely prevail, but conscience likely still niggles in later years when the immediate risk of criminal charges for themselves lessens

ETA - if you review all the call files you’ll note an intercepted call between “unknown female voice” telling “Unknown male voice” that “the whole supermarket is talking about the on your thingymabob. You need to tell Chekko to claim it to clear your name”... You’ll then note from RM’s call list that he states “Checko/Czecho” is his best friend, an NHS accountant in England. So not so “unknown”.

I know these days “normal” isn’t such a big deal... But RM points the finger at Czecho for putting it on his “thingymabob”. “Random” Cristian blames SM when he tells his gf (with a very British sounding name) about he “found”. SM blames a client (maybe RM?).
Were streaming sites not so common in 2006/07? What kind of was it that was being physically downloaded? Why inform the police unless it was sinister?

Pamela Fenn, 81, lives above the apartment where Madeleine disappeared and is reported to have told police she heard Madeleine screaming below.
