there is another part of the 2017-2019 timeline that is up for debate. whether the 72 year old american, was actually on the video that CB showed in the bar in 2017.

What has been recorded on video?
2004 we know HB was filmed in her PdRocha hotel apt. she is irish, 20. no wooden beams here. #1 film
2005 american woman is filmed in her home. Jacaranda. she is 72/73. no wooden beams here. #2 film

2006 tape recordings [A] found in Finca during ‘fake’ robbery
2 people on this tape?
a younger woman tied to a wooden beam, most likely the beam in the Finca. this person must be #3 film.
an older woman. saying 'help' in italian.
'elderly lady chained to a wooden post – according to MT.
(so either #2 or a new film #4 if she was indeed chained to a post)

2006 or sometime after. tape [A] destroyed. camera destroyed.

2016 usb drives found by LE. under the Allegro. at the box factory. 8000 images. videos could be on these drives.

2019 american woman's trial.
a film recording, or witness knowledge of a film recording is part of this trial.

Assuming MT knows what he is talking about. And not lying. Which is always a possibility and clouds the timeline.

Does anyone know the timeline of when and where he was in Spain, in the month following the abduction of MM? I have read, via the roommate, that he did land in Granada. But when? Specifically, I am wondering about the first week of June. Was he in Spain, or is that supposition?
I have spent time in Granada and the coast of southern Spain, and was there the first week of June, in 2007. I am wondering if anyone has an idea of where CB was at this time, or can direct me to a thread that might have info. Thanks so much.
It may not matter at all. But I have gone through some of my photos from that trip looking for the vehicles LE have described. Nothing so far. It's a very sick feeling to have been in the region in 2007.

here's what i currently have for 2017-2019. i agree it is a bit confusing - esp. regarding the date when the 21 months sentence began. i wonder whether he has also been serving extra time in germany - for the other german convictions that may have had suspended sentences.

June 2017: He heads back to Portugal and extradited again to Germany. The reason was a sentencing of the Braunschweig district court to 15 months' imprisonment for the sexual abuse of a child.

14 months from october 2018 (i.e. two thirds of the sentence) would be up in november 2019.
21 months from october 2018 (i.e. the full sentence) would be up in june 2020.
as he still seems to be applying for parole (two thirds of the sentence) the dates don't add up. so, is he serving another sentence on top of the drugs sentence? did he not go straight to prison in october 2018?
the other question is, why didn't he serve the 2011 suspended sentence when they had him in 2016?

Bit of a sensationalist headline from The Sun there. The Mirror, covering the exact same story put a completely different spin on this latest "announcement" -

Ultimately, there is no real new information being given here. The comments from HCW are as open-ended as ever. The investigation wont go on forever is pretty much all he says. Doesn't signify anything that IMO, just a statement of fact.

Yeah - we should ignore all the Tab coverage and stick to the primary german sources.

They already investigated this case for years, and it will continue for months apparently.

Upon arrival in Amsterdam, the German had suddenly disappeared, according to the Braunschweiger Zeitung and Bild . It is not known how he managed this and where he went afterwards. Brückner apparently traveled unnoticed to Italy, where he applied for a new passport at the German consulate in Milan. He was arrested on 27 September 2018 when he received the ID. This on the basis of a European arrest warrant that had already been issued by the Public Prosecution Service in Flensburg.

That arrest warrant came about because Brückner did not comply with the terms of his probation. It entered into effect on August 31, 2018 after his release from prison. He had been detained there for a year and three months for child abuse and possession of child . Instead of reporting to his probation officer at least once a month, the German left for Italy via the Netherlands. In addition, he still had a 2011 and nine months' imprisonment for drug trafficking.

Because the German police already suspected in 2018 that he might have something to do with the disappearance of Maddie McCann and were considered 'very dangerous', the Braunschweig detective arranged for him to be observed 24 hours a day. This was done by local police officers and colleagues from the federal police.

For example, got on a tram and got off again shortly afterwards, '' the regional newspaper quoted one of the members of the observation team at the time. Well,eitherway...that Italy mentioned two unresolved murders and CB made me guess,he was “no stranger” in Italy..and it is known by statements...that he drifted around a lot...so I do think he stashed his ‘belongings’ somewhere in Italy,wouldn’t be surprised,to be honest!

Actually I meant in Portugal, where I believe...the mother & daughter (?) cleaned up the place,it was filthy and from what I remember,they also found trashed computers,there was a picture in it,the one with the babyseat.. I don’t even remember wich thread it was..

The place where he visited his friend MT in late may/june 2007 was called ‘the German field’ a mini commune of hippies and camper vans. You can see it in the centre of this map. This date was the recollection of the friend MT.

in the Sandra F report - the film section shows the American woman’s face, the door of casa jacaranda, the first page of her statement, then photos of her attack, then the printed page of statement that I translated.
Possibly parts of the attack on the American and HB have been merged together to make a link. a Portuguese speaker could confirm what Sandra says in voice-over on the video at that point (Mendel? ))) and that will explain why the ‘Grabbed by the hair, the suspect lifted her from the bed and took her to the kitchen’’ description appears.

Looking at Google Earth between July 2011 and October 2015 a van near a tree is present in same position. On October 2014 is a longer RV type vehicle parked alongside. I wonder if this is relevant?

1. I'd believe very little of what the DM prints.
2. The headline says LE are giving up soon - but the article says nothing at all to back that up.
3. I do not believe for one second that this is a dead end. They may not eventually be able to pin MM on him, but they will get him for a lot, IMO.
